It’s not the dark side of “solar”, it’s the dark side of sales. The same things happen when buying into any large sale/contract. How many times does this happen when buying a house or car. There are great stories and bad stories. You should show the good stories to show where solar is actually effective. Because that exists and outshines the bad.

While we are all going to hear good and bad stories about SOLAR POWER, what you all don't hear about is the amount of HEAT TRANSFERRED into the upper atmosphere. In areas where the heat is so intense from large acres of land, With Solar that air traffic has to alter the Aircraft flight path especially for the smaller aircraft. The intensive heating under the smaller fuselage causes too many problems to list, on a comments section. HOWEVER just go out and look at all the dead birds that were flying around and died burning catching on fire as the birds were flying overhead even at a Thousand feet and higher, falling out of the sky. The warnings signs are everywhere near these fields of the Solar panels about the heat and possible death. The first time I Saw A bird falling out of the Sky, I started checking things out throughly. The California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Solar power systems can't even produce enough electricity to serve the surrounding neighborhoods without blackouts and brownouts at any time of year. RAIN and Cloudy weather NO POWER, SNOW AND ICE CONDITIONS, no wind OR Solar power. The on land Wind Turbines have devastating consequences on the wildlife and the Feathered birds which are killed by the thousands a year. When out to service these machines, I would see the dead birds piled up all over the place. They bring in clean up crews so the service trucks can get up close to the Wind machines. There are too many Lies being told about Solar Energy, the Same Goes for Wind Power. THINK ABOUT THIS, Solar Power is Actually Heating up OUR ATMOSPHERE at an incredible pace. Just use a couple of Solar Panels as a project and measure the temperature. I worked in Solar & Wind for many years as a service technician and had to stop due to the need to get MY CONSCIENCE back. IF YOU THINK the Electric Vehicle WILL SAVE US, Wrong, We have the Technology to make Power Plants Safe and Clean. THE hydrogen engine and hybrid cars have damn near disappeared,?? Some are still being manufactured they are the best thing we've ever had for Vehicles. THE COAL plants we have ARE THE BEST in the world. America can do all it likes to make themselves FEEL GOOD about their New Clean Energy. HOWEVER, the other Countries don't have AND WON'T USE the New Clean Technologies for Electricity ( They Know the Truth.) WE CAN'T EVEN recycle the lithium in these fuel cells for these electric vehicles. We have no technology for that at this time, so what are we going to do with all that while it starts piling up everywhere with no way to recycle but only 20% of the Electric Vehicle battery. WHILE IT IS POISONING THE water supply. Now the Satellites orbiting the Earth have plenty of Solar Panels for power. That's fine the Panels are in Space where the cold doesn't damage the Air or RAIN QUALITY, and the Surfaces of Our Earth, including the atmosphere becoming hotter the more panels that are installed. Where THESE SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS are Installed there are now researchers who have tied those Panels to the drought issues WHERE THERE'S FARMING in many States that have invested in a SO CALLED clean energy. The information is there, GET YOUR HEADS out of the sand.

When he showed me the my monthly payment on my computer, I scrolled ahead to find it would increase. Something else he did not reveal to me. I said I was going to shop around and they dropped their price almost ten grand.. So why would I sign a contract for tens of thousands of dollars with someone who purposely used unfamiliar terms, tried to show me low monthly payments when they would increase and also was over charging me to begin with. Is it possible that some of these states play games when it comes to permits and how their energy companies do net metering?

    • @ajones141
      @ajones141 Před rokem

Steve, you are on the right track. ✅️ there is net metering in some places but not all. Thats why electric companies quickly went to digital meters so the power from solar/ wind couldn't run the meter backwards like in the old days when you could stick a magnet on the back of the meter and get free power 😉. Furthermore, the permits are the local government demanding their cut of any contractual sale the homeowner has made. Even though they take it from the contractor, you are ultimately paying for it. Scam on top of scam on top of scam. The solution is to DIY solar through educating yourself on components and purchasing those components. Pay the permit and hire a local IBEW electrician to install the circuits. Pay the inspector and have the power company hook up your equipment. You'll come out 30k+ cheaper. It's paid outright, and you'll get instant results.

Make sure the company is adding up your annual usage consumption when going solar and see if it will offset 90-100% or between 30-70% of your bill. Don’t let one company prevent you from going solar .

This is very true, don't go to a small solar dealer but with my experience. I am happy with my solar flat bill at $141/month. The solar company determine this with their PPA of .16KWph. While the PGE is charging me .40 to .50kwph while in summer time would cost me $300-$500/month.
So when I am paying a flat rate of $141 the same every month there's still a true bill nem bill from pge when I use over the solar baseline. This is usually $10-30 more. Which I don't mind at all. I rather pay a big portion with .16kwph then paying for a whole month of .50kwph.
Cause right now, all my previous month are -60 and even -100 and that will then credit to me to pay for the month that I overused that the solar panel can't produce. And only pay one a year for my true up bill from PGE.
Going solar isn't what people think of getting free enegery. It still take something to make that electric to give you engery. Having solar meaning cheaper power.

NEVER allow an automatic payment from your bank account. I used to work for a bank. Its almost impossible to stop an automatic payment if the company who receives that payment wants it to go through. Only way to really stop one is to completely change banks.

Don't understand how big companies can do this to customers that are trying to both save some money and at the same time doing something good for the nature. How are they still able to operate after all this have come up to the surface. And this is just a couple of the people that are been shown here, imagine how many others that have been lied to and sold the same system.
As soon as a company don't want to comment on things that have gone wrong or say they will get back to you as soon as they have gone through the specific case it's a scam. Serious companies would maybe not answer on the spot until they got all the information but would say they will get back to you with an answer as soon as they have have gone through the case, and they would get back with a legit answer.
Hope all those people that have been scammed will get back their money and than sum because of all the headache and trouble they've gone through.

Stop buying them, solar panel aren't as effective yet. Get ppa with solar. Yes, there are two bill but you got to understand that with the ppa. You agree to pay for a cheaper power. For an example,
The PGE charges me .40-.50KWPH while with the solar power and rate of .16KWPH. The solar comapny that i agree with come and estimate my house usages and give me a rate of $141/month. I am happy with this rate and only paying give or take $141-151 per month and the extra cost depend how much you be able to manage to save electric previous month.
Before the solar, the electrical cost of my house during summer is $300-$500 per month.

I'm a roofer and there is zero reason anyone should buy a solar system here is why your monthly payment on solar is always more than your electric bill plus you will always have an electric bill even if you use zero electricity tax and fee it's about 35 per month and almost never you will have a zero electric consumption never do you understand that how about when you need a new roof 12 k minimum to remove and instal the panels

Do your research before buying solar panels and save yourself misery
    1. you have to get a loan to pay for the panels and system
    2. the government does not pay for it or give rebates
    3. you still have to pay your regular power bill every month
    4. the panels give little output
definitely do your research before buying

I paid 35 grand. My electric bill is lower in the summer but when I pay off the system I don't use any power during the day. My meter goes backwards during the day even with AC running. Still until it's paid off I'm paying more altogether with the utilities and solar system. Plus they promised a 150 a month for the system but didn't warn me I needed to put down thousands by a certain date. So I'm paying over 250 a month for the system. I get free tax breaks and the city sends me a $1500 check once a year for the power sent to them. I use that to pay the monthly solar bill until it runs out. I'm in Washington so it might be different in other places.
