@@TheDrahcir93 it just makes it easier to see the overlap. Video magic.
To the point? They don't even start explaining until half the way through the video..

Thank you for the easy tip. Just a quick note, you say measure a 1/4th an inch but the video shows you measuring 1/2 an inch. Still works just the same though.
I was going to say the same thing I was stumped about that for a second
Ty I was stuck too 😂
i swear i was stuck lmao

Just so people are aware, she says to measure 1/4 inch, but actually measures a 1/2 inch strip. I’ve done both measurements and they come out differently. So actually measure your finger with 1/2 inch, because that’s what she’s doing in the video.
That's pretty much irrelevant...as it was the width...not the length..its the length that matters (or so I've been told)
😮
Thanks I was confused
Simple, easy, direct ... Love it
If you affix a small piece of cellotape to the end, it holds it in place on the finger, which makes measuring much easier.
Thank you so much! I literally followed right along with you, step by step to get my ring size! You were so pleasant and you made the whole process very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing this great tip! I enjoyed your video today from Orange County, New York
I was trying to buy rings online but didn't know my ring size! Thank you.

10/10 video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Used to be a 6 ring finger but it fluctuates. Thank you
I’ve seen a lot of things saying that the ring size needs to be big enough so that it can be able to get over the knuckle or the ring won’t be able to get on. Should I do a size bigger so that it can be put on?
No the ring will fit
If your size 6 gets a 6.5 or 7 get a .5 up or just a full size bigger or get the exact size if you think your fingers aren’t going to grow much later on
Nothing to do with your question but I love ur pfp

I would say it depends how prominent your knuckles are. My mom has bony fingers and has to size up so it goes over her knuckles, but I have chubby fingers and the base of my fingers is the widest point
That’s how a CZcams video is done!!! Brilliant, thanks.
THANK YOU, you saved me a trip to the jewellers 😅
Brilliant upload, short and to the point...also accurate info. Thank you 😊
How does this work I am so lost and how did she get 9.5
did this and had to return my ring because it was too big. thanks.
Great little video. Informative and done precise and without wasting the time of viewers
Thank you. I watched several much longer and more complicated videos and then yours. And I have to say that I am so grateful for your simple and convenient technique. Thanks.
Glad you found it useful!
thank you
lol you said measure 1/4in wide... but you're actually marking 1/2in wide
Not that it really makes a difference in the results.
Just thought it to be noteworthy as my piece of paper came out much thinner when following the instructions :)
Thanks for that
Thanks I thought I was losing it until I saw this comment

Where do I get a sizing chart? And how do I know what chart is best
Chart was for women and did not have my size which is 3-1/2 inches.
Did this exactly as described. I’m a finish carpenter so I made sure I did it correctly.
The circumference of the largest knuckle on my finger is 2-3/4 inches. This corresponds to a size 13.
I ordered a ring in size 13 and it’s enormous. Won’t even fit my big toe!
What am I doing wrong?😳🤷🏻♂️
Your not doing anything wrong, i want to say that it’s the size chart,
Yeah I looked at like 4 different charts…all said I was size 13🤦🏻♂️🙄
same happened to me, everything said i have size 11,the ring ended up being gigantic
@@aapelikananena9699
What the hell is wrong with us?!?! 🤷🏻♂️
Haha, I'm SO glad to see someone else having issues with this too, so I'm not alone!! Why why why are we NOT doing this correctly?! When I do this technique, it says I am a size 11ish! Ha no way! Normally, I wear between 7-9 (usually 8)...so I'll pass on buying any rings that are size 11. If you figure out what we are doing wrong, please reply to this and let me know!! Thank you!!
You look so much like my niece Allison! A very pretty and nice girl
how much does the paper have to overlap?
soon as it overlaps
I used a measuring tape and according to this video id have a size 14 for my middle finger, but other rings i have are size 8 and fit my ring finger perfect. Im very confused.
You're using ruler measurements in Centimeters and your chart shown is in Millimeters?
Short Sweet and to the point. Keep it up!
Thank you Karen.... My need was to accurately measure my finger for a guitar slide !! Very easy !! 🙂🙃🙂😎
my pinky says 6 cm, theres no way its a 9.5 right? I dont get what im doing wrong
I’m having the same problem! It says mine is 65 cm and a size 11 which would fall off of my fingers!
@@ObeyDaqSwaqq Thats MM not CM 💛
65mm in circumference hun. Which means around the finger instead of across. Just take that measurement of 65mm circumference and find the diameter. A lot of sizing charts use diameter instead of circumference. (Their measurements usually stop at about 26mm if they're probably using diameter) Look up the difference between circumference and diameter.
P. S. 65cm and 65mm are two different measurements. 65 centimeters is waaaaay too big.
Hope this helps
This has helped immeasurably ♥️

Would it be more accurate to measure your joint of the finger if you have a skinier hand?
also wondering this
Thank you, very helpful.
Super easy and super convenient
Ty
Thank you.
Can I use this method to measure something else?
Thank you 💕
wat iuf it is 78mm? is it just size 17??
so simple and so good
Thank you so much ,,,i used your method to get the perfect fan belt for my truck 😳
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well i gave a like anyway for helping with the technique but the sizing chart only goes up too 69mm but my fingers are 76mm :(
What size did you come up with. I'm a 74cm and size chart don't go that high.
I got 6.7 what should I do next I don't know how to measure it ;(
God, the most important part she skips right through it. What was the measurement on the ruler by the paper mark? And how does it correspond to the chart?
Thanks soooo much
Thank you
Thanks! Great video.
Now to measure my fiancés finger while he's asleep LOL 🤣 thanks!
Thanks
im so confused. i measure 2.5 inches, 63.5mm and i got size 11 on your chart? but im pretty sure my real size is 6.5-7 in real life. these ring charts are not accurate
I’m also confused. I measure 2.9 inches around so am I supposed to order a size 13 or 14 ring? Seems big
@@TCY-jn9nw i would just go to zales or a local jeweler. i did that and got a size 7 1/4 instead and its the right size
@@corsicanlulu i got 65 mm, does that mean i need a 7.5 ring?

I can't find the sizing chart on your website...
Hi Sandrine, thanks for letting us know please visit this link for the sizing chart quickjewelryrepairs.com/articles/ring-sizing-made-easy/
I’m still 6.3 and I don’t see my size.......
😂
WOW Thanks!
I genuinely don't understand. Ice followed so many guides now and it always come out around 7.5cm - 8.5cm. All these charts end at around 65mm... I don't have very big fingers so I am utterly confused and annoyed.
I'm having the same issue
Go to walmart and just tell them if you could get your fingers measures with their actual ring size samples
@@jdotcelis we don't have a Walmart in Britain, mate. Sorted it anyway, thanks.
love it thank you
Finally a useful tip.
I just have one question although this video is old, i hope you write me back.i did exactly as you said and got 6.9 cm which is 2.71 inch.
So the question is which one would fit better considering taking off and putting on the ring? Z? Or Z1?🧐🤔
if you're 7cm then your ring size is a 9.

appreciate it 😊
Hi. If my ring size says 5.5 cm, what does that translate to please?
🙏 thanks, also y’all, measure the finger in the night bc in the morning our finger size tend to change
This can't be right. Mine measured 3 inches or 71.12 mm which seems larger than all sizing charts.
This!!!!!
or just use a key chain ring . works everytime
Thanks ❤
just use a tape measure?
Your chart has mm and inch and I’m confused I’m 62 mm but 2.14 inches and they are two completely different sizes
I think the inch is in diameter and the mm is in circumference
no 2.14 inches = 62 mm , but you need to find this info on the chart and the ither number would be your ring size
Where is this sizing chart?
Does this work for men too? I get 3 inches (76.2 mm) for my index finger, and that is nowhere near anything on your chart....
Thank you!❤️
how did you know to go straight to 9.5 tho?
I dont get it paper was 6cm long but she circled the 9.5 as the answer
Quick and simple 👍
How is it 9.5? I'm confused 😮😢
this method isn't accurate at all, i just went to the jeweler down the street and their rings measured 1.5 sizes smaller
How to know my carrier ring size
Im trying to find out how to do this without my partner finding out what Im trying to do lol
She said 1/4 of an inch wide and on her ruler it was 1/2 inch
amazing thanks 😊
Thank you, this is so helpful 💕
i don't see my number on the sizing chart. mine is 87 mm
@Disappointed Reality Convert to what. My says 60mm but some charts go to only 22.8mm. There is now way I'm a size 13.5. My wedding set is a 4.5.

I dont have a printer and cant find anything useful on the internet, can someone tell me what ring size 7 cm is?
I don't have a ruler.
where tf do i get the chart thing, i cant find it.
um thx mine was 6cm and u said it is 9.5 so tx for telling me
Doesn’t work for me, my knuckle is bigger than my finger so I have to measure it
I think i did something wrong i measured almost 3 inches around my finger. This is of the chart and my finger isn't that big, i don't think
Why did you jump cut while wrapping the paper? I'd have preferred to see you do that whole motion instead of cutting to the end
