Joe is not afraid to be corny. He stands on corny 100% and people fuck with him for it. He realized when he released his last album (Rage & The Machine) and did the final stuff for the never released 2nd Slaughterhouse album he was like "That's it... I don't have to put on this front anymore. My people know me, I think if I showed people who I am. The real corny me, people will rock with it".
Mal is a prime example of refusing to let go of his G card because he's the mayor of the block and cares about what street ninjas think of him. Joe doesn't care what the street ninjas think of him anymore.

However once he completely moved away from rap, you saw it just with regularity which because he became more comfortable in not having to keep up a pretense he was not interested in for the sole purpose of existing within the rap space.
I just read these responses and they got NOTHING to do with this clip 🤣 here's what's going down:
The G Card is a reference to you being able to do, say, or move how you want in yo relationship without it being an issue at home or with yo spouse (aside from cheating). They're saying that Joe lost his G card because he doesn't do that like he used to because it's gone be an issue with his girl.
In Ish's example, he refers to how Melyssa plays into the narrative about him and her being "work" boyfriend and girlfriend whenever they joke about them having a relationship. He's saying that the fact that he lets her do that without making a big deal about it, and the fact that it ain't caused no issue with him and his actual girlfriend, certifies that his G card is valid.
Hope that explanation gives some clarity lol

G card- the card stamped by the neighborhood, homies or colleagues as recognition for standing on business, thoroughly, at all times.
Issue with mel- she knows he has a woman, and she plays the line of interest and does extra flirty things with ish. But because he handles things at home, it is a non issue in his home.
In some homes, that would create issues, but if you have a solid foundation at home, these things don't cause war at home. Because there is trust
Alot of relationships fail in this area, thus the hype from the gang.
