- Really enjoyed the motorcyclist's lovely BMW R65 - what an awesome classic!
Those bell rings are just added sound effects to mark the bits I thought were a little substandard driving by the Range Rover driver. That's why I wasn't at all surprised to later catch him on the phone.

I had an R60/6 many years ago. The only motorbike I truly regret selling.
So often, when driving, you can tell that a particular driver must be using a phone because their driving is odd and generally poor. The worst thing is to see it in your rear-view mirror. You are then aware that you could be hit from behind when you brake. These people are a menace.
"But I'm stopped in traffic". Amazing the number of drivers who think that's ok.
They know it isn't, but it's the first and only defence they can think of.

I love it when drivers bang on about the HWC when they're frothing over people on bikes, but clearly either haven't read it or choose to ignore themselves.
HWC 149 explicitly states that you must not use your mobile or similar device when driving, including when stationary.

Was in London during the week and the amount of drivers I saw using phones while driving was unreal, plus another thing I found was everyone is so bloody rude, not even a hello, thank you, goodbye, kiss my a**e, etc, maybe I'm so use to people been polite when I visit other countries,
I agree. I tend to just ignore most people. They are so miserable and ignorant nowadays. It's sad the way things have become.

I used to drive very day in London travelling between building sites for work. Your videos remind what a nightmare London is. So lucky to have escaped to the Scottish Highlands.

I think the authorities should bring this to the publics attention.
Most people know they aren't allowed to, and put the phone away guiltily and quickly despite claiming they were stopped. I suspect the RR driver perhaps really didn't know.

Very nice collection indeed! I had a Suzuki GS400B from the 1970s, and rode over much of Zimbabwe and South Africa with it. Lots of weekends away and camping.

I would not stop for an early amber like that on a bicycle - far FAR too much chance of a driver behind you not expecting that and then rear-ending you.
If it’s a police car behind you, they may say slow down in advance whilst taking up a safer road position..

It was about 2km from the first sighting till the end it is the road that runs from Shepherds Bush to Marble Arch along the south of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, I think this bit was Nottinghill High Street and Bayswater Road.

I have come to the conclusion after watch so many videos of Mikey's Range Rover drivers, they are in a class of their own. It's called Don't give a f**k class.
it's mostly a facade, the vehicles are on finance, the owners are usually in a financial mess. As a builder i come across it a lot, living above their means yet don't have any money to pay my reasonable bill for work undertaken. I had an R80 ,went all over france on it

If your vehicle is over a certain age it’s exempt. I don’t know the details -I think it’s is just that a certain level of “vintages-ness” they welcome the last serving models.

Do you not have helmet laws there? Fell off one day going around a corner and someone deliberately put oil down. Both wheels slipped and I hit my head on the road. I got up and kept riding. Later I looked at my helmet and it was cracked clear through. I've been told that if it cracked my helmet, that would have been my skull. Thing probably saved my life.

I'll take any Japanese motorcycle over a BMW any day of the week. I currently own a Honda and a Yamaha but I have owned Suzuki and Kawasaki previously.

I think talking is more distracting than actually holding the phone, talking to others when in traffic should be against the law.
The science says it's quite different than you imagine, and that phone use is a real danger, whilst talking to people around you in real life is not.

I find it more shocking that 75% of all homicides in the UK are committed by motorists driving dangerously compared to 0% by cyclists. You are three times more likely to be unlawfully killed by a dangerous driver than by any other means, but you won't be killed by an unlawful cyclist.
Interesting tidbit. Unlike drivers who are leaned back in their seat with the knees high with a steering wheel they can push their hands against, cyclist are leaning forward with their centre of gravity closer and higher above the handlebars, so it is less easy for them to braking. Braking hard means somersaulting over the bike, or with the bike if they are clipped in, so don't make silly comments about cyclists running amber lights.
