I'm Russian and I don't understand many of the words in this song, but I feel every one of them. Zero 7 has been on my playlist for over 10 years and will never leave. My buddy that introduced me to this song back in '02 just passed away on 6/9/21. I'm heartbroken but grateful. It'll have an even bigger meaning to me now. Id go on to become a huge fan of Zero 7 and even more so, this genre (downtempo, electronic) of music, that was just emerging to me at that time. Rest easy Fred.

When this came out, graduating from high school, heading into college. Emotionally full of dreams, ambitions, and a whole new chapter in my life. Some of the ambitions and dreams came to fruition and other didn't, that's life and that's this song to me.

One of my favourite tracks of all time. I was introduced to this tune on a flight to Tenerife having had a break up with my girlfriend and travelling alone to a holiday. I had a great soul searching experience on that island for a week with Destiny as the soundtrack to my stay, never looked back since. It’s been my mantra to this day…

i use to listen to this song on a daily basis 20 years ago! Now when I listened to this song at the age of 40- it bring me right back to that 'feeling' 20 years ago 😭. The feeling that can't be describe in any words unfortunately.
Zero 7 was so ground breaking. Electronic, but still so vocal, romantic and soulful. It always feels new. Love it so much!

Even though I live in a different one now, I like riding the subway and dreaming up stories about the lives of the people I see. So many stories in this video too. Heard it for the first time on a college radio station 20+ years ago. I was driving home from a bender at a friend’s party and had a horrible hangover.
This song made me forget about the headache and queasiness for a few minutes. I remember being excited about discovering it but also disappointed it ended too soon.
Back then, it wasn’t unusual for the DJs to spin a dozen songs without interruption and then never mention the artist or song title. Later that day I ended up calling someone at the radio booth and they gave me the details.
After I bought the album, I was hooked. The ambience, the beats, the lyrics.. perfect music to help combat stress and depression IMO, and also just beautiful to listen to regardless of my state of mind.
