Stian Angermund attempts to break the VK World Record in Spain | Salomon

Stian Angermund-Vik - the viking of vert from Bergen Norway - versus one of the steepest vertical kilometers in the world. The course in Cabrales, Spain gains 1000 meters of elevation in just 1.89 kilometers. There was only going to be fireworks but would there be a new world record, that was the question we wanted an answer for. We got together a crack team of video shooters, each entrusted with a mission to follow Stian and his wingman Jan Margarit Sole for 100 meters before passing the camera to the next in line. This is the result - the full VK attempt in all its lactic acid drenched glory.
