- Is it possible to climb an 8,000m mountain in two weeks? What sort of acclimatisation is necessary and how does it affect the body? These are the questions Kilian Jornet and Emelie Forsberg were asking themselves. To find the answer they set off to climb Cho Oyu using a new method of acclimatisation that could revolutionise climbing. Would it work?

I love how they truly look out for each other’s safety , that is something lacking in many sports today, their humility gives them freedom to act with wisdom and responsibility. Good examples.

Its amazing seeing all these Endurance atheletes the things they accomplish and some are never really well known than the next best person who spent his whole life training for a 100m Run. More people know Usain Bolt. But Usain bolt couldn't even beat me in a 5km run. Endurance atheletes are the real inspiration it takes guts time lifestyle love and a real clear mindset. I will make it there one day and i'll enjoy the journey there!

Im overcoming Hypothalamic Amenorrhea and struggling with rest. City life blinds the perspective of nature's gift in the need for health to be in the elements. It humbles and belittles the monkey-mind-games that shake our intuitive nature. Kilian and Emelie, thank you. I'm moving to British Columbia next week and anticipate to be humbled. i agree with ,my self a 2h10 marathon runner and trail runner mountains climber ,i saw dad climbers at less than 4000m altitude without good physical condition u need to asses u fitness
Do Kilian and Emelie speak English around each other for the sake of the films or because it is the one language they both speak? Just curious.
Guy Pauley it’s the one they both speak.
As far as I know Kilian speaks: Catalan, Spanish, French (all 3 mother toungue), Italian (advance), English (intermediate). And Emilie non of them besides English.

at 13:00, what is Kilian wearing over his mouth? They do not use oxygen, so I am unfamiliar.
Basically just a filter or barrier to keep the extremely cold air from freezing the lungs. At the same time allowing air to pass through and not ice/freeze over (like a piece of fabric/bandana/balaclava does when you exhale)
