Paul McCartney could sing all the same notes he did in the studio live where as Freddie very often harmonizes the original, clarion money notes for a lower and easier one to save his voice. Too much partying and living it up, not enough rest for his awesome instrument. I agree Freddie is one of the best but Paul is just as good technically, for example Oh! Darling to Band on the Run, to Hey Jude, to fuckin Magical Mystery Tour YOUR MOTHER SHOULD KNOW. Guy could do it all, and never dodges the high notes... take your pick only my opinion

Freddie was brilliant, eccentric, talented and was not scared to go after his vision! He pushed his dreams to fruition!! It's so sad he had to leave us so soon, as there is no doubt he would have continued to bless us all with more of his talents. You are quite right. Old videos with audio like this, are not very common. The venue it was played at helps a lot though. The forum in Montreal had/has great acoustics. It's a shopping center now, as it is too small to host bands or the Montreal Canadiens (The greatest hockey team ever) as the city grew. They removed around 3/4 of the seating, built stores and restaurants but you can still hear people peeing in the bathrooms.

Managing so much harmony, moving between clean and distortion with so ease, providing such a beautiful track to Freddie to sing over. And not to mention, the use of guitar harmonics, complementing each other so beautifully, not doing anything extra, its crazy i get goosebumps really.

    Pressure, pushing down on me,
Pressing down on you, no man ask for.
Under pressure that burns a building down,
Splits a family in two, puts people on streets.
It's the terror of knowing what this world is about.
Watching some good friends screaming, "let me out".
    Tomorrow gets me higher.
Pressure on people, people on streets.
Chippin' around, kick my brains around the floor.
These are the days, it never rains but it pours.
    People on streets.
    People on streets.
It's the terror of knowing what this world is about.
Watching some good friends screaming, "let me out".
Tomorrow takes me higher, higher, high!
Pressure on people, people on streets.
Turned away from it all like a blind man.
Sat on a fence, but it don't work.
Keep comin' up with love, but it's so…

He was one of a kind, but he didn’t write all their songs. Deacon wrote “You’re My Best Friend” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” May wrote “We Will Rock You,” “I Want It All” and “Fat Bottom Girls,” among others. And Taylor wrote “Radio Ga Ga” ... they also all were record producers and were college graduates. Brian May even has a PhD in astrophysics.
