I am so happy that they're finally discovering the talent of Diodato in Italy. Been following him since his first album.. he wrote so many beautiful songs but somehow very few noticed them... Hope things will change now after this incredible song!
he's been on my short list for a while, but since he is good we kept relatively quiet to not spoil things :D now he's in top form, time for him to bloom in recognition too. he also made a duet with Ghemon in the 2019 Sanremo that was really remarkable; iirc they had some member of Calibro 35 as support in that duet; that band is quite interesting and also a "long running maturing artists" in italy (even tho a bit more niche maybe), you might want to check them out. Also, speaking about Diodato, it seems that the song inspiration came from his breakup with a colleague that was also in the competition (a relation that absolutely nobody knew about): Levante. She's also quite an interesting one, but her personality stands out much more thus doesn't qualify as a "undetectable" at all :D

It's normal that everybody now say that the italian song is not so good, I also said this the first time I listened it, but try to listen it 3/4 times... try... you will change your opinion...I'm sure.

The Sanremo festival is broadcast once a year in February, It is a singing event born in the 50s. The Italian song is celebrated. I see and look forward to it every time. Sanremo 2020 very good Diodato with Fai rumore the winner was he arrived in first place. We also have Giorgia who is an extraordinary interpreter. This song was my winner for Sanremo70 and I am glad it won although it's getting a lot of flak because many think it's not appropriate for ESC. I completely disagree and I will write the same thing I wrote under Diodato's page: this song is perfect for ESC because, even if you don't understand the lyrics, it hits you right in the stomach and your reaction proves it. Rumore is a false friend between Italian and English: it doesn't mean rumour but noise. He begs a past love (Levante, also a contestant of Sanremo 2020), but the song extends to communication between individuals, to make some noise and break the unnatural silence that has fallen between them.
