    • @JimboJamble
      @JimboJamble Před 3 lety +9

Yeah, quick spin has been in every 3D Zelda game as far as I know, but the N64 controller's stick wasn't quite as smooth and responsive as its successors, so I found them considerably more difficult to reliably pull off in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
A few more quick spin tips...
-Quick spin in OoT and MM does a level 1 charge attack with no magic consumption, and it even works with the huge Great Fairy Sword in MM.
-Spin attacks don't collide with walls, so you can use them to great effect in confined areas; in Wind Waker, you can perform quick spins with those ridiculously long Moblin weapons which otherwise tend to bounce off of walls when swung normally.
-Spin attacks in Breath of the Wild do not to additional damage like they did in other games. They're still good for fighting groups and for knocking them down, but otherwise they won't help you much in a 1-on-1. _(Bonus tip: the last hit of a combo usually knocks down an enemy, which is sometimes undesirable because you have to chase after them if they get knocked back too far, and the last hit also has a longer recovery time. Instead of mashing for the combo, swing your weapon just a few times, pause for a moment, and start swinging again. This allows you to keep hitting them without that big slow final hit, dealing more damage over time and sometimes allowing you to stun-lock them so they can't fight back.)_

I know there are hearty radishes, durian, rushrooms, swift violets, apples, and more, but theres so many and are often difficult to relocate, an in depth satori mountain area guide would be amazing, and I know there's plenty of other hidden farming areas like the durians next to faron tower, and a lake on the mountain southwards that has a large number of fish of various types, these exceptional farming areas are all over the world, often quite hidden, and in my opinion, would make an excellent compilation... this actually did give me a number of new tips in addition to a couple things things I knew before. I have a few more tips to add
1: The Sheikah sensor+ can be used to locate lost arrows and thrown boomerang items when you have a picture of the weapon in question, something I use often.
2: It can also help in finding DLC gear without resorting to a guide. I was at a loss as to how to find the Korok mask in the lost forest before it dawned on me that it is in a chest and the Sheikah sensor+ can detect treasure chests no matter what type they are.
3: The Korok leaf is the greatest durability saving weapon on weak enemies. The gust of wind knocks down Keeses and and knocks apart Skal enemies without having to hit them, leading to easy follow up attacks for 1 damage to finish them off. The gust can also be aimed (and thus the leaf cannot be thrown at enemies) and around tall cliffs or deep water is a great way to defeat early game enemies on master mode when the weapons are still too weak to whittle at the larger regenerating health bars. It makes getting the maracas a literal breeze. Bombs work much the same but is harder to coax a whole group in one direction with them and neither one will help against Moblins.

Once he is stunned, you can chain these attacks and I've found a 60 damage master sword has enough durability to kill 3 golden Lynels before needing to be recharged....

Your guides are amazing! We can't thank you enough for all the time you've put in to test and compile your results! Please give us a part 2!!
One tip I can't find in any guide anywhere is on specific timings for dodging/parrying normal enemy attacks (there are guides for guardians and lyonels, but I'm referring to the normal foes). Most guides just say to dodge as they attack, but that's obvious and vague. I'm around 15-20 hours in and just can't seem to get the timing consistent. I know it takes practice, but tips on how to better read their animations or what to watch for would be very helpful! :)

Never sheath your weapons in front on Lynels especially the Silver Lynel on the Great Plataue. This one has a Bomb Arrows that'll easily hit you if they're being sniped upwards, so never pull weapons out since they'll see this as threat. They're nice enough to let you leave.

I never knew about the beetle tree! Also if you go to Lurelin village and wonder near it at night you will find all 3 types of beetles on the sides of palm trees. This is all along the coast near Lurelin and to the west. I recommend using a sneaky potion or wearing the Sheikah outfit to not scare them, but you can get plenty of them that way.

If you ran out of Stamina while climbing and fall, you can use your paraglider one last time to save yourself.
You don't need dragon horns for 30 minutes elexir, you can use monster extract unstead but get ready for some randomness. Make sure to save before using them.
Full shiekah armor allow you to sneak upon enemies while at full walking speed. You don't need to sneak.
You can fish using bombs, and you can even whistle to make the fish go crazy and get stuck on the shore, very sastisfying.
And heres a super useful tip: you can use statis to highlight collectible ingredients (mushrooms, fruits.... ) makes searching a lot easier.

I've been playing BOTW more than any other of my 70ish games, and I've watched so many videos about the game that I thought I knew all the little tricks and exploits, and most videos are just mentioning the same old things, so to have compiled a list of the same old tricks that aren't found in almost every other video showcasing so many very uncommonly known tips, must've been a little challenging, so I gotta give you credit, cuz although I knew some of these, I was VERY surprised to learn a few things I can't already been aware of, so thank you for the video! It's very refreshing to know that there are still some BOTW tips still being discovered. I'm sure you've been aware of these for some time, but it'll be interesting to look back in about 10 years - or even just 10 years from the game's original release - to see just how many discoveries have been made from this point onward.
Your content is among the best that CZcams has to offer. It's abundantly clear that you invest A LOT of time & research into every video, & you deserve recognition for all your hard work. You've taught me most of what I know about BOTW gameplay, so I can't thank you enough for making an already-amazing-game even more enjoyable!
