Another one for the books! What was your favorite thing this time?
Is this a trick question?
finally a new one
The windmills actually changing speeds depending on the wind blew me away
Thank you man, ur the goated botw player and ur also a great host keep up the series till botw part 2!!!
Wow, solfege is very dope
“We are united in exposure!” THAT LINE HAD ME DYING
I am nekkid! Nekky nokky nakey! 😂
man if the first game has this many secrets, just imagine how many the 2nd game which has some reused assets and multiple years of development will have.
I just hope we get it sometime this decade
6 years?
@@connor0684 the game will come out in 2023, I think he meant how botw 1 came out in 2017, making it 6 years
Dude I hope you realize legend of Zelda is like a 20 game franchise and the next Zelda game won’t be called botw 2, so don’t call it “the first and second game” it makes you sound dumb. It also is gonna be very different from botw
@@Chonkyb0igamer420 1. It is the SEQUEL to BotW
2. The official name has not been released
I think it’s so cool how the zora are related to the solfège scale, an how Sidon an Mipha’s themes are related. It’s always so cool when games and movies use music as a way to convey themes and hidden messages rather than just as a backdrop
If I end up in a music class somehow, I'll need to remember "King, Waifu, Fish, Best boy" then. XD
Honestly gave tears after meeting them years ago but learning this now, I adore them
I recall that in the german version if you give Tumbo in Zora's Domain his requested 5 hot-footed frogs, he counts them as "Do re mi fa so". I didn't see the connection until now, this is actually mindblowing
I missed that! It's probably also a reference to the musical frogs from Ocarina and Majora but super cool to see more possible connections.
Why didnt they do this for all versions? That is dope
I read that there is a pun in japanese, the words for tadpole and musicnote sound the same. In skyward sword the tadpoles are music notes in the water. I was thinking that the germand translators stayed more litteral to the japanese version.
In Majora's Mask the Zora eggs also hatch into music note shaped tadpoles that line up like sheet music to teach you the New Wave Bossa Nova
@@Kwizii in fact they are the same, お玉じゃくし which can be either ladle, tadpole, or music note
Also in Zora’s Domain, you can find NPC’s Cleff, Laflat, Keye, Trello, and Bazz, all music related. Probably already talked about but there’s that.
The games name is *Breath of The Curry* and not *Breath of The Wild* ... It's *Breath of The Curry!*
Bazz has so many layers
The fish Bass
The Genre of music Jazz
The instrument family Brass
The layer of music bass
I don't remember if Cleff and Bazz are related but if they are add the Bass clef as another
Holy moly, I never noticed that. That’s fantastic!
in the Japanese version, Goron's names relate to construction, Rito's names come from names of meat, and Gerudo's names from jewelry. are they same in the English version?
@@user-ei7nl7cv3u Most of the names seem to be transliterated from Japanese, with some changes to make them seem Japanese. If someone playing in English knows Japanese, they might be able to pick a few obvious ones out, Teba or Kaneli. Some might also know Rito is just トリ backwards. Now that I'm looking for it, though, I can pick out a bunch more. Kotts (カツレツ), Notts (ナツ), Cree (カレー), Saki (魚), Misa (味噌), Nekk (ネック), possibly Laissa (ライス?), possibly Kheel (切る?), possibly Molli (森?).
The Gorons actually seem to have had a lot of their puns translated, as they have really obvious building puns in English, like Axyl (axle), Pyle (pylon/pile), Dorill (drill), Dugby (dug by), Jengo (jenga), Krane (crane), Tray (tray), Volcon (volcano), and Tanko (tank).
As for the Gerudo, looking at the Japanese names I can see the puns but the names are changed too much in the English version for me to have been able to pick them out without looking at the Japanese version first.
In English, there are a few NPCs whose names are clearly related to types of oil. They're the group that you have to rescue around the platforms in the Gerudo canyon. Are they also oil puns in Japanese?
Can’t get enough of these vids. The one about Mipha and Sidon gave me chills, even though I’d already known about it. It’s just so cool. But I had only found a couple of the reactions to underwear-Link on my own, so that was also really cool. And the underwater stuff!!
something tells me this series will never end
Not until BotW2...
Yeah, I wish it would already. I swear there's like 10 of these videos with the same title or more. 🤦🏻♂️
Talk about "milking the cash cow".
@@ElDuende05 72 more things you didn't know about Breath of the wild 2 when
Bro what
Nah I enjoy this series and it’s really the only reason I still sub to GS
A quick note about the solfège point so Americans and some others don’t get mixed up. Japan, as well as many other countries use solfège inherently differently than it’s used in America, they used what’s called “fixed Do” instead of “moveable Do”. Basically their solfège always represents the same notes regardless of the key. C will always be Do, F will always be Fa, etc. And in moveable Do, Do always represents the root of the key you’re playing in. So sidon’s theme is B, C B, C B, which in Japan is in fact Si Do Si Do Si, but in moveable Do, since the song is in the key of Em, the solfège would be Sol, Le, Sol, Le Sol. Figured I’d clarify
Interesting, it was hard researching Solfège of different countries so thanks for clarifying that. I’m glad I said “In Japanese Solfège conventions” even though it’s technically international that’s not US.
I was looking for this comment. I immediately recognized Sidon's theme to be Le Sol.
Oh that makes so much sense! I was always puzzled by the assertion that Sidon’s theme is based on his name in solfège, but here in Australia I’m so used to moveable Do that the possibility of fixed Do never crossed my mind. That’s such a neat detail, thank you for bringing it up!
The attention to detail in this game is why it's so great
Detail 🤣

@@machogandalf What's the laughing emoji for? Didn't pay attention to the video huh?
@@machogandalf Oh wait, you're that Cody guy. No wonder you're being so negative, that's all you ever do.
@@gettingdoxxed It's Cody J Henderson. Get it right 🤣
As someone who adores Mipha and Sidon, and music, that last fact is my favourite of every fact you've done ❤️
❤ Mipha
@@butterkirby1 Best fish girl.
Really? I didn't like any of the BotW characters except the Gerudo lady. Maybe Zelda isn't my thing. I thought Ocarina of time was fantastic but apparently it was a one off good game for this series.
@@zackfair6791 Huh, maybe it's nostalgia? When did you play Ocarina? Cause Ocarina was my first game, but I've loved most zelda games. Twilight was probably my favourite though
Nice job explaining the Solfege secret! I had no idea the DLC continued the easter egg.
Real?
Oh wow he’s real hello mate
Hello!
EGG BOY
Someone ought to test Brigo further with his dynamic direction system. Go to the locations themselves and find the EXACT center!
can i give another fact in kakariko village? if you destroy the plum trees while its raining she will say something along the lines of “it was raining on the day i was born, fitting how its raining on the day I die” i have literally never heard anyone talk about this. (if put in the next video, credit would be appreciated)
the way the last one has literally wrecked me 😭 "through sidon's eyes mipha is the hero" i am sobbing rn
The Zora solfege thing is blowing my mind. Not only is there a consistent theme through the names that is also represented in the score, but it also demonstrates a symbolic meaning behind the sonic similarities between the intervals mi-fa and si-do. This likely goes entirely unnoticed but amplifies our subconscious connection to the work in the same way pieces of music do. Thanks for pointing it out, the layers keep coming off and revealing more to enjoy.
Wow such details are put here!!!
My favorite are the windmill one and mifa/Sidon one, I just love these little attentions to details this game has, it’s what make it a masterpiece
Always thought that these were going to be just a bunch of glitches that I'll likely never find, but there are still a plenty of actual fun facts and secrets that I've been missing out for over 5 years. This game's truly ageless and just keep setting my bar for the sequel even higher, keep up the good findings guys!
Music is such an underappreciated aspect to any video game
Mi fantastic
I am completely stunned by the musical "Easter egg" for Mipha and Sidon. Wow. What a masterpiece of a game.
I love all the reactions to Link in his Sheikah Shorts. The Great Fairies will react too, but you gotta go the extra mile, and have no clothing in your inventory!
Thanks for keeping this series going! I can't get enough even after all these episodes
I had enough after the first 2 or 3. 🤔 Maybe that's just me.
I stopped playing BotW, but these are interesting to know for sure
I absolutely love my ears and everything that has to do with sound design and music. That fact about the zora, as well as Mipha and Sidon's character themes, absolutely blew me away
The Solfege scale, no doubt. Music is such an integral part of the mood scape in this game. Love your vids, please do keep these coming!
This was the best one ever. And I just want to tell you that I was watching this series before I even got a switch. You should definetly continue making videos like this.
Dog, such a simple thing, but to design accurately spinning windmills is insane. It wasn't necessary, nobody would care, but they did it anyways. So fire
The names and musical notation is such a fun little detail. May this series never end!
Another cool thing about Kakariko is if you stand in the plum tree garden while Olkin runs by at night he makes you get out saying that the trees are very important to his wife
Legend says that game spot will never stop finding new things about botw
Ps: love this series
the amount of details that they put into this game is what makes me excited for the sequel
I love the interactions in this game, it's so dynamic who would've programmed windmills to change speed
I will never get trying or seeing these videos of how much more things we don’t know about this game. It’s truly incredible!!
I really love it when games have this amount of effort. I hope the same can be said for the sequel.
Ok.. the music insight is now my favorite thing in the entire series. Thanks!
8:15 This means that the attack on vah ruta theme (where this extraction is from) is also based on mipha and sidon, neat!
I just recently played this game again for the first time in years and it reminded me of just how much of a masterpiece it really is
Everytime you upload one of these im exited because I know its going to be great! Amazing video as always! Please keep this series going!
This might be your best one yet, I still enjoy these so much. The last one about the music blew me away!
Thank you. I couldn’t wait for the next one. I think that is the best of this series. Keep the hard working videos. Botw forever!
Not me crying over the Mipha and Sidon track fact TTwTT
I know totk is out and I’ve been playing it, but I recently discovered that in botw if you go to hatento village before going to kakariko village the blue flame pedistal is closed, keeping you from lighting it. Not only that but if you go inside the tech lab symin will tell you to see impa and then come back.
I knew about the whole music thingy before, but, for some reason its still so shocking lol
If this guy ever stopped making these videos, even after a century I would go insane
Being a music major in college, I knew about the Mipha solfège one pretty much instantly and am glad it’s getting recognition now
I feel big brain because I actually already know the musical secret from thomas game docs. I also know another way of going underwater, collision overloading. I’ve actually done this before and it was pretty cool.
Link's reaction to being called cute is so adorable
That bit about Mipha’s and Sidon’s themes is just so beautiful.
The last part with the song names genuinely blew my mind. This game is incredible.
The underwater vegetation fascinates me. I think Skull Lake and Lurelin Village have the same underwater plants.
Weird they created so much beauty we can't even see or get to
Every video of this series I think they’re can’t possibly be something new I learn and here you guys are proving me wrong every time
His videos are so good. Keep it up man!
First vid: You can actually ride on a lynel.
Last vid: if you manipulate the time slow while aiming your bow at the right time above a bokoblins head you can fly
That last one made me cry just a little...
Clicked on this video by mistake, and stayed till the end because it was good , gv (great video) dude keep it up
That Zora musicality. I never would have seen that!! Thanks!
Am a musician/music theory major; that's actually not "ti-do" (si-do) in Sidon's song; it's the "mi-fa" again, at least in the context of the key that Sidon's theme is in (and using the relative major of the minor key the song is actually in; it would be "sol-le" in the minor key. Sorry for music theory gibberish). It's the same interval as "ti-do", but not the same scale degrees, so I think it might be reading a bit too much into it, as cool as the idea is.
Edit: I default to movable "do", but I just realized that the Easter Egg is actually 100% correct in fixed "do". Sorry, ignore the previous mess.
It’s amazing that you can still keep showing some practical glitches like the master sword durability transfer
the solfege details in mipha and sidon's theme songs was so cool
The video was so helpful! Thanks a lot!
I can't believe that after five years, there are still things being discovered about this game
That last one totally blew me away. This game is full of so much care and little details, even in the music.
ok how many things can be found in this game like there has been at minimum 20 of these videos but there so good and i like them
2:14 I actually got that interaction because I somehow managed to miss the chests with the clothes at the start of the game 🤣
the solfege one got me. brought me back to learning all of this in school for band and choir
Last tip blew my mind, love learning more about this game!
Okay, thank you VERY much, GameSpot. I never had imagined the level of detail put into the Zoras being so closely related to the Solfege scale, and this knowledge made me so happy when you pointed it out!
It's so beautifully touching, because when you think about it, Mipha is supposed to be older than Sidon, so the scale actually goes in the order of royal rank or age.
Dorephan is the King, the deepest Do-Re.
Mipha is the Princess, the medium Mi-Fa.
The Zoras as a race, the higher So-La.
And Sidon, the child Prince who will one day come into his own, the highest Ti-Do/Si-Do.
I knew the MiFa, TiDo (SiDo) thing, but I didn’t put together that those notes made up their tunes. That’s so cool!
wow this is so complete and interesting. thank you
Amazing…can’t believe there’s so much still to my fav game of all time (tied w/Ocarina of Time).
I actually laughed out loud concerning the Kakariko generosity if you’re out of money. Kindness is rare apparently. The handling of the music is pure genius. Mind-blowing!!!
I'm addicted to this series!!
This channel never stops blowing my mind keep up the great work 😁
honestly, after so many videos, I believe this one is one of the best!
Please never stop making these!
This game is too much, I could play this all day but I'ma grown up now and gotta work all the time to support my love one's. O how I wish I had this awesome game when I was young 🌱
Dorian thing very cool. I remember being Super surprised by that shrine quest plot line
Something I didn't realize until the other day was that flag poles scattered across hyrule actually react to the wind, I thought it was just a predetermined animation.
Try it with revalis gale, and you'll see the flag move differently.
"Shaka! Shakaka! You are nekkid! I am nekkid! We are united in exposure!🎵 Nekky Nokky Nakey!🎵" Oh my god another reason to love Hestu
Love this game. Thanks for sharing 😎🤙
Never stop this series
I like to think that not just Paya, but ALL Kakariko inhabitants get their name from the shape of a birthmark they have
Grim thought, perhaps that tradition came along so they could identify the bodies if they ever found them, considering the dangerous times.
Also, "Tony Hawk: Rider of Legend". In another universe, this could be a Zelda and Tony Hawk crossover game
The audio thing with the names is so cool I love it so much
The thing i love the most about the Zelda games is the music especially breath of the wild
Lynel Trampoline was the funniest, and the Zora music stuff broke my brain.
Wow. Still learning totally new stuff. Had no clue about the magnesis windmills
This has been the best episode in a while.
This series has proved to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Breath of the Wild is the greatest video game ever created.
How many of these can you show us!? Love this series
He just keeps going!
1:15 that one is really good i love how they reference that side quest
I'm literally in the discord server where this stuff is discovered/discussed and still the video blows my mind every time lol
my favourite series on yt
I love how this game has been out for 7 years I believe and we still haven’t figured out all the secrets the game has for us, that is exactly what I love about this game, you never truly discover everything
5 years*
The Mipha and Sidon music ones Really make me smile
Respect to your good work, thanks a lot
Great video this one was very interesting
The fact that there’s new stuff being discovered In a game that’s over 5 years old is mind blowing to me
The music ones is amazing
Please consider putting all of it together for a special episode
This video is very interesting! Please make more.
THE WINDMILL AND MASTER SWOR ONES MADE MY JAW DROPPP
Love your vids keep it up man✌👍❤
