This is a God send. Liked and subscribed, rang the bell. I have the X56 HOTAS for DCS, originally, but with the twist function on the stick, I just don't get the right range. I am disabled and my feet are really screwed up, which is why I can't use pedals. This is a life saver because my wrist doesn't hurt now, the thing flies without making me puke and my passenger getting dumped without a parachute. Thanks buddy, keep it up.

Great video but I’m struggling setting the yaw/pitch trim. I have a velocity one Flightstick and although I can get the pointer to show I can’t get the boxes up to alter the values
So, after some digging, I found a way to start a flight with the trim settings you describe already setup. The only requirement is that you have to setup a flight on the World Map then save it to your PC. After that, you open the .FLT file, scroll to the end and locate the two lines that read, LateralTrim=050.00
LongitudinalTrim=050.00
Change the valuse to,
"LateralTrim=041.25
LongitudinalTrim=038.00
This will set lateral trim to -17.5%, and longitudinal trim to -24.0%

The MSFS Cowan Sim 500 cannot be started from cold using Ctrl + e. The engine will self start if you setup to depart from a runway.
Wish there was a way to pre-set trim values in a config file so it always starts that way. I dislike the pop up boxes for controls.

This h500 flys beautifully stable without the assistances as long as you trim it and use a stick. I can only assume you are using a controller. With the HOTAS one the assistances are absolutely not required

Very interesting setup. At around 3:30 of the video which tool you use to have this popup to SET LATERAL TRIM and LONGITUDINAL TRIM POSITION ??

Not sure what I’m doing wrong I followed step by step but when switching to gov off or idle the rotor loses complete power I can only get power when gov on is enabled and at max gov on setting. Any advice thank you for the vid I thought I’d never be able to fly a helicopter on controller until now only issue is the gov setting.

Nice vid, how do you make the payload menu work for adding spotlight, floats, etc? I can only change weight.
You have to put the weight in for what you want added

No, it just doesn’t record the pop-up menu where I type in the weight for some reason. If you look closely, you’ll see the weight change.
Mine flies like its piloted by a drunk. I have the 2 options...Ill try those trim settings....😢 Can we see your mappings and sensitivitiy settings.?😅😅😅❤ thank you

If you use stick, throttle and rudders you do not need the assistance systems. Sure it needs some training. But look at this I flew it through the Victoria Falls Canyon
