On February 25 2017 an EF2 Tornado touched down in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties in NEPA around 2:35PM. It traveled 12 miles.
Working closely with ATC out of Avoca Airport and the National Weather Service out of Binghamton we were able to document some of the aftermath of the tornado in Pittston Township Pa.
DJI Inspire 2 Drone used for damage assessment on scene.

That was a crazy day. I was in Wilkes-Barre when the Tornado warnings went off. Drove back to Milford with hail , driving rain and high winds. Awesome that you offered your drone to the NWS for damage assessment.

I was on I81 towards Wilkes-Barre when the alerts went off. The funny thing is I told my mother in law who was in the car with me, I said. "You know I'm not a meteorologist but that looks like tornado weather up ahead" She said oh God don't say that. Not more than 5 mkns later all of our phones and GPS went off.
