Thank you for your video. after watching it I followed your steps but then took sandpaper to the tips of the 2 copper leads for the rocker switch and Voilà - my lights now come on when I open the doors to my 2019 Prius XLE AWD-e. thank you again.
0:48 I have the same exact car in the video (2019 Prius) and don’t recommend the Serundo 31mm bulbs - i just ordered them and I don’t know if they’ve changed manufacturers but the ends are too fat to go in properly without bending the PCB (thus potentially damaging the bulb) or wedging it so far into the dome light that you will have issues trying to change the bulb again later because it will get stuck.
I spoke to the folks at Alla Lighting and they recommend the 29mm bulb and even a 2016+ Toyota Tacoma owner posted on the Serundo product page made a point to say the bulb is too long and recommended a 29mm!
Mine are arriving 2 days from now and I am 99% sure they will fit!

0:08 if u have a metal spudger used for electronics that is flat & slightly hooked (~7mm wide), this worked the best - u hook it deep into the 2 slots & it pries/scoops out near immediately
and it's easier to get the bulb out by bending the metal piece outward
