I simply love the fact that they go through the garage shots and such, showing the studded tires, showing him examining the studded tires. But in the end... he's on tire chains. No studs to be found. Hrm... wonder why that could be!? Someone not think about that when editing this at all? Still was fun to watch them play around with it.

I think only those studded tires cost over 15000$ + filming costs + helicopter cost. And you weren't able to hire decent video editor? I mean, this can be a lot better.

I would call this a fail. Of course it was going to be slow. Also love that the studded tires clearly did not work so they switched to chains, which likely can't stand up to crazy revolutions or stress like the studs would have.

I wonder what modifications they made to the car to make it suitable for this. Obviously the tires, but probably also increased ride height and softer suspension. What about the engine, gear ratios, etc?

It"s not the editing that was bothering me is the tire chain was a lethal thing I was waiting to see the chains flying in the crowd I wonder if they tried it with the studs only and they saw that is wasn't enuf.

It's actually incredibly obvious that filming didn't goto plan that day.
Here's my reasoning why...
The very small segments where there is a continuous shot or a shot lasting more than 900 milliseconds never shows the car moving very fast.
These same segments show that if the car is moving slightly fast, it's practically airborne most of the time and thus unsafe and undriveable.
Because of this, there are no continuous or longer that 900ms audio segments of the cars' engine reaching anywhere near its powerband, which goes some way to explaining the lack of audio during the snows run and it also might explain the over-use of slow-motion segments and frequent editing cuts.

So...no music? Based off the fact that we can hear intermittent sound design (added sound effects such as car noises and tools) this video was probably edited to music, which was then removed for reason it got taken out. Legal reasons maybe. That would explain the pacing of the video. It was probably edited to music before.
