Good video. Thanks for mentioning the issue with the rattling seals, he kind of side stepped the issue there with a generic response about Toyota always looking to improve and make things better, (which is to be expected honestly, they’re not going to get into the thick of things on an interview). Making things better and improving is awesome….but I would really like a solution to the well known current issue….it shouldn’t be too hard to fix…I’m not mad at all about the engine, or the plastic in the truck….but the window noise and rattling seals…wears me out. Maybe they can can make a new striker latch that is about a 1/4 to 3/8 inch in further and makes a tighter seal between the door and the truck body…

He thru it on a lift and the quality control of a lot of seals on the driveshaft and various other parts were alarming especially for a 65K truck. I won’t even begin with the ridiculous shock absorbing seats….

Why are people adding long range america tanks, and love them? Strange that it’s a packaging issue when the 5th gen 4Runner has a shorter frame, same rear suspension, and a 23 gallon tank.

I run premium in all my vehicles and have for the last 28 years now, original exhaust and Cat after 654,000 kilometers in one of my vehicles and no emission issues (plugged O2 Sensors from running 87 octane before switching to premium top teir fuel).😊
Rear air vents would be a great add, especially considering the new 4Runners have them in the back of the console and there’s just a gap there for the Tacomas.
Don't be blinded by passion, reality is where it's at, Toyota has been slipping (badly) lately without researching customer preferences. My personal views.😊
Car care nut did a recent video highlighting the QC issues on the new Tacoma trd pro. Was shocking how many corners they cut and stuff they skipped. Can’t imagine buying one for what they cost. Most poorly engineered truck I’ve seen and I’m a Toyota fanboy.
I can say, and understand regarding the ISO seat topic that we all know that Toyota may introduce a new item and that they will observe what the market as well as their customer base think about it, otherwise they wouldn't change the rear suspension from the last gen to the new gen, or they wouldn't have changed to brake pads in the rear. We all know that if they spot something that the market isn't liking over time, they typically won't implement it in future models. It's not like they are like Ford or someone else where they won't give AF about what the customer base thinks or feel. They will just implement it and leave it there, even if it doesn't work.
Perfect timing on the video as I needed a “podcast” to listen to while I mow my lawn, great info in this vid! Favourite tidbit was that the 2400w stays 2400w while driving or parked as well. I’ve got the 2024 LC and that’s great info to know
Im not get it, my 2022 Tacoma mpg was 18.5, in 5k miles. and traded in for a 2024 Tacoma and my mpg is 15.5 in 2k miles. WHAT THE HECK HE IS TALKING ABOUT more EFFICIENT .
Maybe the constant starting and stopping in the city causes you to lose some of the efficiency benefits of the turbo. It needs to spool up and all that.
@@thedude828-ed2nn he took over the tundra though. That wasn’t his project. The Tacoma is a much better product even though there are some issues popping up, which is to be expected in a full redesign. Although it is insanely overpriced
@@ravensfootball52 Toyota in a whole is just over priced I would love a Tacoma with no crazy infotainment tech and crappy cloth seats a n/a v6 and no expensive electronics just plain Jane but have lockers front and rear. They are trying to make them too luxurious and forgetting what a truck is for.
@thedude828-ed2nn I agree 100% bring back the 26-29k tacomas with the 5vzfe v6 4wd I don't care about gas mileage I care about reliability that's why my parents have 7 toyotas ranging from 1995 to 2003 I have a 95 4runner I'm slapping a 5vzfe in as well as I have 2 98 4runners with the 5vzfe in them
I really want to know why he removed the frame-mounted bump stops on the Tacoma front suspension, but the LC and tundra still have them. Seems like a really weak design by comparison, and people are throwing shocks through the shock tower after hitting a pot hole.
this line up is an absolute disaster...stealerships are overflowing with pickups and 4runner is delayed yet again...consumers are fed up with the drop off in quality and increase in prices.
I just got back from vacation in NH, rented a brand new 2024 Tacoma TRD OffRoad 4x4 from AVIS. At first, I really didn't know how to review this new truck, but after a weeks usage, from simple driving around running errands, then the test which was loading it up with CertainTeed Stone Facade Qty 12 boxes (at least 150lb/box), I am totally blown away how well, how strong the body and frame is made. I will buy one of these down the road, not on the 1st year though, but on the 2nd or 3rd year. The only thing I absolutely hated was the center console, the cup holders should be up above or to the right side of the shifter, ditch the molle panel, and the ditch the cell phone area, its too hard to fit a phone in that area, all you need is a slot to hole a cell phone in. The engine, super powerful, was shocked at the same gas mileage as the older V6 Tacoma. I's put back the V6. Otherwise I'm sold on the new Tacoma.
Toyota just needs to make a Tacoma TRD Pro without the ISO Seats, without the Moonroof and without the Powered Tailgate and price it at $55k. Its not rocket science.
The local dealer has at least 10 2024 Tacomas facing the street. I have no idea how many they have further in the lot. In previous years they might have one or two on the lot that no one was buying.
Sorry, but I’ve lost faith in Toyota. They seem to be cutting too many corners to save money. Latest issue causing problems was NO BUMP STOCKS on the new Tacoma’s front suspension. No problems with no tow hooks on the Tundra, but give me a break… Plus, I have strong reservations about buying by a car/truck made in Mexico. I was a car salesman for almost 8 years (Toyota’s for about 4years) late 90’s to early 2000’s. I loved my Toyota’s. I’ve personally own/leased approximately 20 new vehicles the past 40 years. I loved having a new car or truck, mostly trucks. Too many technical problems and unaffordable prices.
Sheldon: I wonder if you'll read these comments. I bought a 2024 Off-Road and have been driving trucks for fifty years, and never have I seen one that can handle washboard roads like this can. Thanks.
2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will be in my garage tomorrow. Fully loaded for $54000. Really wanted the Trailhunter but the price of it just is too much. The ZR2 is so capable after watching Outlandish Overland CZcams page.
Small thing on your make tundra great again, but for future iterations plz make the augmented sound be able to be disabled/enabled in the infotainment! Really liked the sound more after it was disabled
CZcamsrs are a vocal minority I think. The Tacoma sales figures for Q2 are strong, and I think Q3 will be even stronger. I still choose to drive my V6, but I believe that most buyers prefer the new turbo, slightly better mpg, and upgraded tech.
Toyota Tacoma sales are down 40% from last year...your idea of strong is vastly different than what earthlings are seeing....pickups are piled up at stealerships and nary a rav4 to be found.
There is a lot of good information from an actual expert. That is what you had him on for. Still not going to satisfy all these so-called experts out there who can't wait to criticize everyone. There is no need for some of the rude and disrespectful comments made. People have been crying for years for toyota to do a tundra refresh, and when they do, people complain about just about everything. You can have some negative comments without being disrespectful. I have owned ford, gmc, nissan, subaru, kia, and honda. Switched to toyota, when I bought a 19 tundra and then 28:09 a 20 highlander. Recently traded my 19 tundra in for a 24 tundra. I personally have been satisfied. Has everything been perfect, well no but i haven't had a single vehicle without a recall.
Perfectly put. I completely agree. Also comments coming in too from those who are blind to how alot of this stuff works with gov, suppliers, etc. I appreciate you realizing that. You can express criticism without sounding like a pissed off cave man. Thanks for watching David!
I want to know whose job it was for those 24 Tacoma's seats. Why did they feel the need to extend the front seats into the back seats? Are they doing anything about the transmissions that are failing now? Why is Toyota failing so many fixable QC issues vehicle after vehicle.
I gotta say, despite a few engineering missteps and huge price increases, the 24' is just Sooo much better than the last gen (I went from a 22 to a 24). The driveline in particular is light years better.
@@TRDJon I have a new 2024 Frontier Pro-4X. Love it so far. My lil bro has a 2023 Tacoma TRD Offroad and it's shocking how similar the two trucks are. Both have advantages over the other.
Too many delusional people in here thinking Toyota could just keep building FJ80s and 1st gen Tacomas/Tundras if they wanted to but instead want to screw us all over with these disgusting turbos and 5 star crash safety ratings.
Been looking at buying a full sized truck in the future. And been researching the market for my wants . For future tundra things I would like to see with this generation or the refresh. A flat floor in the rear seat. A redesign in the back bumper area with a possible integrated step on the rear bumper. Tow hooks standard in the front and rear. And some kind of double glove box.
The current administration has made new EPA rules back in March 2024, which starts taking effect in 2027 model years and up. And it will make cars even more expensive
Also the 2027 rules Sheldon (the Toyota engineer) said it’s “legislation” that’s a “done deal” …it’s not legislation, it’s a bureaucratic rule by the EPA (unelected) and can be changed if the next administration changes it
Keep in mind that Sheldon is a "hired" man - and all that implies... If folks keep purchasing these lower quality vehicles, it says as much about them as it does about the current integrity of Toyota (yes, I'm a Toyota owner - '23 4-Runner and '23 Tacoma - love 'em). It's a sad situation, indeed..!
After living with the 24 iforce for a few months, 3500 miles I’m loving it. Getting 24mpg+ tank average and over 400 miles of range. Pretty much identical to my 3rd gen. No vehicle is perfect but I think the criticisms of the 4th gen are largely unfounded and very similar to those of the 2016. Change is scary. Once they’re on the road for a few years I think the fud will go away. Good work Sheldon and Toyota.
Did he say anything about why no front locker in the pro or trail hunter as other competition models have this feature for a midsize truck. Also did you say anything about the Tire Pressure Monitoring system not staying put and reverting to something not selected or it sometimes deselects it. Did I miss this some where in the details. Thank you Jon and great video I couldn't agree more with the price. People are asking for more features, but that comes with a cost. Funny thing the ones complaining about the price are the ones that want the features and don't understand they can only blame themselves as they asked for it. Moving on...............I'm glad Mr. Sheldon gave you his time. Very down to earth man and honest and humble the entire time. Thanks again! Keep up the good content and thanks for being always positive instead of negative in your videos as all these other toyota youtubers just bash bash bash........Keep fighting the good fight!!
Who was the Genius that put the Taco Bum Stop on the shock absorber with brittle aluminum top hat that cracks when it bottoms out.. as most do when off roading?
Great content. I feel reassured about the grill shutter on my Tundra after what he said about the tacoma's shutter. Sucks to hear theres going to be more EPA regulations in 2027.
Great Interview - However the TRUE question is does the NEW IMPROVED - Tacoma have the LENGENDARY dependability of the V6? Everyone knows the 4.0L is a LEGEND 400,000 mile drivetrain and the 3.5V6 a 200,000 drivetrain. Having a HYBIRD system is additional STEP "EXPENSIVE" OPERATIONAL COST of owning a HYBIRD SYSTEM! Turbo are NOT cheap either!
What about people like me that have 600 miles on our Tacoma’s and haven’t had a failed transmission yet? Are we supposed to just drive around and wait for it to fail? He mentions a small number but doesn’t mention anything about telling the small number of owners that they are going to have a failed trans. It would be nice for Toyota to specify whose affected by this problem
As crappy as it sounds, yes. Or you can see if the dealer will flush the fluid for you to see if there is any debris in it. It stinks like he said not being able to pin point when it had the issue in manufacturing.
Sheldon, I appreciate you… but Tacomas prices are up quite a bit and production has gotten cheaper in Mexico. I know this isn’t your lane but Toyota is showing some true colors these days.
Honestly I feel like this was one of those infomercials to hype Toyota and press a little but not too hard on issues while selling the new tech. I thought some of the answers were crap and some were good. I would really like to hear him answer for every issue that The Car Care Nut rips Toyota on with the new generation of vehicles. I’d also like answers on the Sequoias rear cargo area and why it’s not a little longer as well as the rear window not rolling down etc.
I’m confused on the gas names lol, I’m in Colorado & we have 85, 87 & 91, which I’m guessing means most states don’t have 85 so it’s a comparison of 87 & 91 on what you need to use?
I know there is a delicate balance with courtesy to an interviewee who is staying up late and isn't in the finance dept., but wish you had hit them a little harder on the cost. Some of these prices are ridiculous even with inflation. With your sway, mentioning that everyone is mad and anxious about the tacoma and probable 4runner cost may help us all out :) Feels like they are pressing the profit edge and taking advantage of inflationary prices. Toyota does what nintendo does, allocation and inventory restriction to drive up price. Seems like they've lost their way a bit. Regardless, thanks for the interview, love the channel!
For sure, plus this was really my first interview, so I'm gonna get better with followup questions for the future to really make sure we get the best answers we can. Thanks for watching!
John, I’ve ordered an off-road iforce - been waiting for 6 weeks and it’ll portably be 4-6 more weeks before it arrives. I just test drove an iforce max. I’m now wondering if I should adjust my order to get the max. What are your thoughts about the differences between the two? Are u totally pleased with your iforce?
Pure BS coming out of this man's mouth; but I respect his position, he is not going to put himself out of a job. He knows, like we do, that Toyota failed with this truck and he failed as an engineer. He will learn from this and move on, not sure. Toyota will do the same.
Also FJ Cruiser required Premium for the first few models years and then everyone complained and Toyota fixed it to take regular so I am hoping they do the same with the Land Cruiser
Great Conversation, Thank-you Sheldon and Jon! It goes to show you how complex and complicated the auto industry has become, it's not a easy feat, from suppliers, consumer wants, regulatory requirements, it all has to fit in the box! Years ago production quality suffered from human error and now it suffers from complexity, that is why I am becoming an EV fan boy, I think once they work on a better battery and have the EV charging that exceeds consumer come to expect, EVs are better in every measure, it took me some milage driving one, but to be honest, I am sold!
A ot whiny haters in here . Im going to say i have watched all of the Sheldon Brown videos that i know about and this was a great video Jon. One question, why didnt you ask about the damn tow hooks lol . He at least could have said whether they will add them to the refresh.😂
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Totally should have huh! I think it would fall under the "we are listening to customer feedback and addressing it" so hopefully that means tow hooks. Since he is in charge of Tundra now.
@TRDJon I'm getting a 24 in less then a month . It's a lease though, my goal is to hopefully get a pro tundra when the lease is up. Up in Canada the lease price I got was too good to pass up and the payments include a level and 35s. Can't wait to get back into a fullsize.

Of course! I truly appreciate you taking your time to watch some.
I run premium in all my vehicles and have for the last 28 years now, original exhaust and Cat after 654,000 kilometers in one of my vehicles and no emission issues (plugged O2 Sensors from running 87 octane before switching to premium top teir fuel).😊
If premium gas was $2.50 a gallon, I would run it in my 23 4runner 😎
Same here 487,000 miles on same cat converter, EGR Valve, fuel injectors and engine thanks to Shell & Chevron Premium Gas. '92 4 cyl Toyota pickup.
Nice man!
Tell me you don't understand octane without telling me you don't understand octane. 🙄
@@1FiftyOverland WTF are you mumbling about? I post what works for me, nothing more, so move on keyboard warrior.
Great interview Jon, you cut the fat and were able to deliver a lot of informative, concise info 🙌🏻
Thanks man. Yea tried to trim out alot of pauses and fix the audio as best as I could. Sorry it took so long to get out.
Rear air vents would be a great add, especially considering the new 4Runners have them in the back of the console and there’s just a gap there for the Tacomas.
Don't be blinded by passion, reality is where it's at, Toyota has been slipping (badly) lately without researching customer preferences. My personal views.😊
Fantastic interview! Well done on you pushing him a little and well done on Sheldon being more open then I expected.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The question isnt only why is the Tacoma $$$ but why is the Tacoma crap so far and having issues
Cuz it's newly being mass produced but they are fixing it. Just look at 3rd Gen Tacomas with their recalls and issues at launch.
@TRDJon I didnt remember transmission dying at 400 miles but it's been a while , maybe they were
Not focusing only on the trasnissions but I'm saying growing pains with any new gen of vehicle when on a mass scale.
2024 Tacoma
No bumpstops
Small fuel tank
Cheap spare tire
Grill shutter issue
Cheap skid plate
Transmission overheating
Glove box rattles
Cheap floor mats
Overpriced 😂😂
I believe the bump stops are built into the shocks
They are and the rear has bump stops too.
@@TRDJon which is fine if the closest you get to offroad is big speed bump at the mall.
Also small back seat
Do people not realize the new Ranger and Colorado/Canyon also have internal bumps in the front??? Just like the Tacoma.😅
Car care nut did a recent video highlighting the QC issues on the new Tacoma trd pro. Was shocking how many corners they cut and stuff they skipped. Can’t imagine buying one for what they cost. Most poorly engineered truck I’ve seen and I’m a Toyota fanboy.
Full of gimmicks nobody asked for...
Can't imagine people paying $$$$$$$ for vehicles.
Just because they want to look good at the Mall. 😅😅😅
@@mikecopros79yep! And skipped the basic stuff like hood struts and painting the bare metal axles 😂😂
They could have ditched those stupid seats and gave you a front locker.
Awesome content Jon! Almost 2 hours with Sheldon, good stuff 👍
Thanks so much for the support. I truly appreciate it.
Yeah it’s called damage control, genius.

Perfect timing on the video as I needed a “podcast” to listen to while I mow my lawn, great info in this vid! Favourite tidbit was that the 2400w stays 2400w while driving or parked as well. I’ve got the 2024 LC and that’s great info to know
Dude thanks so much. Hope the audio levels were ok for you. I tried to get them even and loud enough in editing.
@@TRDJon audio sounded good to me! Heard everything perfectly!
Im not get it, my 2022 Tacoma mpg was 18.5, in 5k miles.
and traded in for a 2024 Tacoma and my mpg is 15.5 in 2k miles.
WHAT THE HECK HE IS TALKING ABOUT more EFFICIENT .
You can thank everyone who voted for the Obama administration and gave the reins to the government to bend engine manufacturers over backwards.
Idk what you’re doing. I was getting 22 with my truck brand new stock.
@TRDJon I'm driving in city every day, like 80% city 20 hwy
@@TRDJon compared to m 2022 it's not making any SENSE.
Maybe the constant starting and stopping in the city causes you to lose some of the efficiency benefits of the turbo. It needs to spool up and all that.
I hope Sheldon can salvage the tundra name
I agree man.
All he's done is ruin everything he touches.
@thedude828-ed2nn I agree 100% bring back the 26-29k tacomas with the 5vzfe v6 4wd I don't care about gas mileage I care about reliability that's why my parents have 7 toyotas ranging from 1995 to 2003 I have a 95 4runner I'm slapping a 5vzfe in as well as I have 2 98 4runners with the 5vzfe in them
I really want to know why he removed the frame-mounted bump stops on the Tacoma front suspension, but the LC and tundra still have them. Seems like a really weak design by comparison, and people are throwing shocks through the shock tower after hitting a pot hole.
Yea which is crazy cuz they test the crap outta that stuff. That will be a great follow up question in the future.
this line up is an absolute disaster...stealerships are overflowing with pickups and 4runner is delayed yet again...consumers are fed up with the drop off in quality and increase in prices.
Close to $70k for a Tacoma... It's a cool looking truck, but that price makes it a laughing stock.
sales have tanked...now they are holding off on the 4 runner cuz they know what is coming lolz.
Need to stay away from social media.
Back to the drawing board”
Sheldon needs to be fired, bring back the Japanese engineers
Thanks TRD Jon, appreciate the interview. Can you ask, and emphasize the demand for a 300 series next time?
For sure!
Thanks for the interview! At least we now know the ‘reality of the situation’
Thank you Jon for this clarification with Sheldon excellent information. 🤝👍🏽😎
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching!
Toyota just needs to make a Tacoma TRD Pro without the ISO Seats, without the Moonroof and without the Powered Tailgate and price it at $55k. Its not rocket science.
TRD Offroad hybrid with premium package is $60k
The local dealer has at least 10 2024 Tacomas facing the street. I have no idea how many they have further in the lot. In previous years they might have one or two on the lot that no one was buying.
Sorry, but I’ve lost faith in Toyota. They seem to be cutting too many corners to save money. Latest issue causing problems was NO BUMP STOCKS on the new Tacoma’s front suspension. No problems with no tow hooks on the Tundra, but give me a break…
Plus, I have strong reservations about buying by a car/truck made in Mexico.
I was a car salesman for almost 8 years (Toyota’s for about 4years) late 90’s to early 2000’s. I loved my Toyota’s. I’ve personally own/leased approximately 20 new vehicles the past 40 years. I loved having a new car or truck, mostly trucks. Too many technical problems and unaffordable prices.
last gen truck was built in mexico too
@@bjsimon802 😊 that’s why I bought my current 2023 TRD Off Road 4R. Still built in Japan.
blame the government and emission, why lamborghi v8 hybrid
Sheldon: I wonder if you'll read these comments. I bought a 2024 Off-Road and have been driving trucks for fifty years, and never have I seen one that can handle washboard roads like this can. Thanks.

@@TRDJon I don't know if it's the coil springs or what, but it's significant.
I was hoping he'd shed some light on the Trailhunter QC hold. Great video Jon
That may have been after this. This was done on August 1st.
My vehicles will always be stamped with Tahara.
Thank you for this information. You got a bunch of questions answered that I was wondering about. The other Tacoma "influencers" need to watch this.
Glad it was helpful!
The Ford Maverick price has gone up $7000, there is global inflation. Truck prices will go up for the mid size.
2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will be in my garage tomorrow. Fully loaded for $54000. Really wanted the Trailhunter but the price of it just is too much. The ZR2 is so capable after watching Outlandish Overland CZcams page.
awesome interview
Small thing on your make tundra great again, but for future iterations plz make the augmented sound be able to be disabled/enabled in the infotainment! Really liked the sound more after it was disabled
YESSSSS
I love the small truck chicken tax comment/question on if that's why he is in Japan!
I want to buy a Yoter stout w manual transmission. I just want a mini truck now now. firds boys already in their second gen. 😭
This interview definitely taught me some things, very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
CZcamsrs are a vocal minority I think. The Tacoma sales figures for Q2 are strong, and I think Q3 will be even stronger. I still choose to drive my V6, but I believe that most buyers prefer the new turbo, slightly better mpg, and upgraded tech.
Thanks for watching man!
Thanks for your insight. You bring a lot of helpful information. I appreciate you being honest with your reviews. Keep up the good work.
What happens when the engine shutters gets caked with mud? Keep it simple like the last Tacoma. 4 high 4 low and its all good v6.
I want to know whose job it was for those 24 Tacoma's seats. Why did they feel the need to extend the front seats into the back seats? Are they doing anything about the transmissions that are failing now? Why is Toyota failing so many fixable QC issues vehicle after vehicle.
Awesome video Jon... Thanks...
The colorado zr2 is 18k cheaper than the trd pro. I guess the CEO at GM doesn't need a private jet.
I gotta say, despite a few engineering missteps and huge price increases, the 24' is just Sooo much better than the last gen (I went from a 22 to a 24). The driveline in particular is light years better.
I’ll go with a new frontier over the new Tacoma.
Enjoy!

You people are so weird dude lmao
That’s unfair criticism
The reality of the situation is that Sheldon is going to tell us the reality of the situation.

Not an excuse after the Chevron decision earlier this year.
So you think cars just get developed in 2 months after an announcement?
@@TRDJon
It’s obvious Toyota spent years working out how to screw their customers and knew people like you would cover for them.
I wish i could get the bigger screen in the SR5. Great video, thanks for what you do.
I’m sure it will be there in future updates/ model longevity bits
I've had 2 3rd Gen Tacomas and the quality of the truck is the exact same man.
Remember all the current and coming EPA regulations each time you go to vote. That's how you stop this stupid sht.
Something happened in my Subaru outback. Not unique to Toyota.
I would've loved to hear why they got rid of real bump stops ?!
@@TRDJonthat’s frustrating to hear that. Do you think they will issue some kind of recall or tsb for this at all? Maybe will have the dealer flush it
If it deems it yes. There are parameters that need to be met for that yes,.
When is he implementing the turbocharged single cylinder engine
Sheldon isn’t going to be able to explain the pricing he doesn’t set it
global inflation
No he doesn't, but he gave us an idea of what all goes into pricing and how it gets to that point.
Its like kamal the word salad explaining the economy/inflation 😂🎉
Sheldon, I appreciate you… but Tacomas prices are up quite a bit and production has gotten cheaper in Mexico. I know this isn’t your lane but Toyota is showing some true colors these days.
I think Sheldon will be a better engineer than Sweers was
Nope, worked great
The guy can’t even take care of himself and Toyota Execs trusted him with their trucks???
With your sway, mentioning that everyone is mad and anxious about the tacoma and probable 4runner cost may help us all out :)
Feels like they are pressing the profit edge and taking advantage of inflationary prices. Toyota does what nintendo does, allocation and inventory restriction to drive up price. Seems like they've lost their way a bit.
Regardless, thanks for the interview, love the channel!
Also, Sheldon, please add a moon roof option to the 26 trailhunter 4runner! :) nothing better than camping with the moonroof open.
For sure, plus this was really my first interview, so I'm gonna get better with followup questions for the future to really make sure we get the best answers we can. Thanks for watching!
There is a big difference in cost vs price. Engineers do not control prices we pay. Need interview marketing and sales for both America.
@TRDJon Your content is fantastic! You just did a two hour video and I nitpicked one part. Everyone is a critic :) Loved it though!

Also, last gen Land Cruiser didn’t need premium. Used regular.
Also FJ Cruiser required Premium for the first few models years and then everyone complained and Toyota fixed it to take regular so I am hoping they do the same with the Land Cruiser
What about the Tacoma shock towers blowing out?
Great Conversation, Thank-you Sheldon and Jon! It goes to show you how complex and complicated the auto industry has become, it's not a easy feat, from suppliers, consumer wants, regulatory requirements, it all has to fit in the box! Years ago production quality suffered from human error and now it suffers from complexity, that is why I am becoming an EV fan boy, I think once they work on a better battery and have the EV charging that exceeds consumer come to expect, EVs are better in every measure, it took me some milage driving one, but to be honest, I am sold!
Glad you are enjoying it man!!! Thank you so much too for watching. I appreciate you taking the time.
Toyota should quickly replace all these crappy engineer ruining the whole company reputation!!!
That's two hours ... is there a way you can give a summary in another video?
