During the Battle of Hoth in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker™ piloted a Snowspeeder™, led the Rebel Alliance against the Empire’s ground forces, and instructed the other snowspeeder pilots to use their harpoons and cables to aim for the legs in an attempt to take down the massive Imperial AT-AT™ walkers in order to give the Rebels enough time to evacuate the snow planet.
In celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Hot Toys is excited to introduce a series of Star Wars collectibles based on this iconic film! Now, Hot Toys is delighted to officially present the Luke Skywalker Sixth Scale Collectible Figure in his flight suit and helmet that he wore on Hoth, as the latest release of The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary Collection!
The highly-accurate Luke Skywalker figure is expertly crafted based on his appearance in the movie, features a head sculpt with newly sculpted hair sculpture, finely tailored Snowspeeder outfit and life support unit on the chest, a LED light-up lightsaber, an interchangeable lightsaber blade emulating the weapon in motion, a highly-detailed flight helmet, a grappling gun, a blaster, a thermal detonator, a snow-themed diorama set-up with a figure stand all in the specially designed retro-style packaging!

This is like 1 of 7 SW Hot Toys I have on pre order with you. This looks absolutely amazing!! I want to put Luke’s ROTJ lightsaber hilt on this when I get it, to recreate a cover from an EU book I had as a kid 😁

Anyone notice the tube goes right to his “tube”? Never knew the life support system was secretly a Pee holder helping keep his body warm lol
It's very similar to the Sideshow one from 2017. That was brilliant. In fact, I think Sideshows head sculpt (especially in the helmet) was much better as it doesn't have that odd pout that all the recent Hot Toy Luke's have. So gonna stick to the Sideshow version.

Would’ve liked to see how the helmet went on, and whether the hairpiece removes, like Endor Leia’s does.

Love what you guys do! But, shipping the figures out should be priority number 1. Keep making the videos tho, enjoy watching them!
Agreed. They seem more concerned about doing these videos then having the actual item in stock to ship. To me, these videos make me want to go order it right away from HK rather than wait 2 months, maybe more, for SS to ship it.
@@B0b0ddy As I understand it, the teams are different. The social media team/those in videos just aren't the ones shipping the figures out from the warehouse. Supply chain issues are more than likely to blame for the delays, not video making.
This looks great. It looks just like Mark Hamill.
The head sculpt bothers me. I feel like HT reissued the same sculpt they used for Jedi Luke. Bespin and Mando Luke are much better likenesses, in my opinion.

The figure looks amazing, however the arm swap to get the lightsaber lighting up is terrible. Not the best design for this figure his arm suit is to puffy with additional fabric inside making it a nightmare to reconnect. I now have a Luke missing a right arm while I try to figure out how to get it back in.
As a moderate Luke fan I was going to pass on this, but after this review I've never wanted another figure as bad!

That's great. But modern Star Wars would be nothing without the stunning and brave Kathleen Kennedy, Ryan Johnson and JJ Abrams. All of which had the genius to bring us new, exciting and awe inspiring characters like Admiral Holdo and Rose Rico... Truly powerful women. So, like Stan Lee is to Marvel, can we please have a three pack of these awesone people... The future of Star Wars has never looked so bright in their capable hands.
