The fact that this is real life Father and Son acting this scene, and it's seamless, is fantastic!
Okay, let's be real here. Prof. Gerard was built up with a reputation of never giving an A+ on ethics and everyone who took his class knows that. His whole schlick is *integrity* which explains how everyone has been reacting to his name whenever it's brought up.
Whoever the dude who decided to even TRY to bribe the man to change his grade is an absolute MADMAN but it fucking paid off.
He didn't get the grade changed
@@arianebolt1575only because Mike and Harvey stopped it. Gerard already accepted the money
😂😂😂😂
In class, he teaches them that circumstances don't matter.
I liked that Harvey didn't let him say why he took the bribe.
If you are a black-and-white thinking person, you don't get to lecture me about circumstances when you break your own rules.
"wellcome to the real world professor"..jajajaj very good line!
Mike: " I did the math "
Bro, realising there can't be 5 Queens in a deck ain't math.
apparently you did not get the context!. REview it again.

It’s called being artistic with the language. 🤦🏻♂️

Donna: “The cleaner they look, the more dirt they’ve swept under the Rug”
It's crazy that's Harvey's real life father.
Wait what?
Yup! And Harvey and Donna, best friend since ever in real life he's also a vegan. He really played the part good.
@@K1NGW0LF Oh! Dude! I thought you meant he was his father in the show…. You like changed everything for me 🤣
Absolutely wrong. His father is Gordon Specter.
But yes the actor playing the Professor is Gabriel Macht's father he he 😁
@@geraltofrivia9424🤓🤓
All of you do know that in real life....Gabriel Macht and his father, Stephen Macht played this scene to perfection!!
Yep there’s nothing more lawyers hate than ethics 😅
That's true, we don't have them.
U r goddamn right
😂😂😂
I hate sanctimonious people because they don't live in the real world or do anything that demands they rethink their ways; an ethical bubble
An ethics professor... who does unethical things. How surprising /s
In Fiction.
Weve seen more of it in rl
Trust me
People teaching about something and doing the opposite
Different sides of people, where they show you the side that will impress you and earn them something in return
@@Neojhun The more people talk about morals and ethics, the more they have something to hide. If you have to say your morals are beyond reproach, then they aren't. If others say that about you, that's another story, but if you brag about it you are almost certainly lying.
He's human. I can teach about anything and still do the opposite of it. Not surprising.
the funny thing is people mess up the truth all the time because people's memories are incredibly faulty
Agreed but him refusing to admit it was a huge red flag.
The actor playing the Professor here is Stephen Macht, Gabriel Macht’s (Harvey’s) Dad in real life..😊
People get it wrong all the time, whether they’re telling the truth or not
That’s not how you should talk to daddy 😂
Big boy's grown up. ain't nothin he can do bout it 😂
You should honor Father and Mother says The Lord.

It's sort of ironic that his lie about winning a poker game is undone due to his complete lack of a poker face when Mike asked about the game.

I used to drink my espresso at that table when writing in my 20’s.

@@Victor-07-04 i didn't know
@@gorsedh Oh😆
I didn't know that. That's interesting.
What's interesting is that one of the tactics that lawyers like to use when they have somebody on the stand is to first of all question their integrity. Because if you can destroy the Integrity you can destroy the witness. One of the games that they play is to say out loud to the witness please remember that you are under oath to tell the truth. Mind you the witness is the only person in the room who is taking those either under God or not depending upon the courtroom. So this puts the witness under pressure and also the assumption that their integrity may be in question. I was watching a guy who does nothing but professional prep work for Witnesses who get to watch the two dancing clowns called the lawyers play their games in front of the jury in order to convince them. He stated that if a lawyer ever says the phrase just to remind you that you're under oath the witness should respond quite strongly and please remember that you are not under oath. Thus Shifting the paradigm from the truth strapped Witness to the often times lying lawyer who if you watch of lawyer cases will find a lot of them skirt the Ethics Line pretty damn closely
good
The scenario they pointed out with the poker is completely possible with a queen on the table (If it was texas holdem)
Man 1: Q Q
Man 2: Q 6
Professor: Any two cards out of 8, 9, 10 or J
As long as the table gets dealt a Q, 6 + the two extra cards out of 8, 9, 10, J that professor didnt have.
I think you're right, but I don't get why is there a need for this 8,9,10,J condition for the table and the professor? They didn't say straight flush, only Q high flush.
The minimum condition for the scenario to be possible is (let's use hearts as example for the flush):
Man 1: QQ
Man 2: Q6
Professor: Any cards lower than Q (since Qh has to be on the table) and at least one of them is hearts.
(music) Ta da da da da...
"Welcome to the real world Professor"

Very much like when the action is about to start and a punch line tops it all up
You’d do it for someone else but not for your own father ?
Music min 2:00 ?
Bribed with 25k?
Harvey literally told someone to commit perjury on his behalf in another case…
He's a lawyer. Lawyers and ethics go together like livestock and poison hemlock
Why does a top notch old lawyer need this explanation from a young "lawyer".
Cause Gerard isn’t a lawyer
Ethics Professor and Lawyers are completely different things
And Harvey isn’t just some “young lawyer”. Senior partners at a major law firm are big deals.
@@michaelhertzman1028 think he was talking about mike, based of the quotations on the lawyer

This storyline is weak. They do this just to take down the ethnic professor who refused to help Mike, to show no one is squeaky clean.
Ethics not "ethnic".
@Harvey_Specteryep
No human in Earth is squeaky clean
But some are clean
Such storylines are done a lot to knock down a certain groups in real life

"I didnt get bribed".Proceeds to tell the story of how someone paid him 25000$ to change his grade lmao.
So wait, this dude prides himself on going out of way to give his students failing grades and then accepts a bribe to increase said grades? Just the act of accepting a bribe would look bad but his asshole grading system doubles as evidence.
So he created a lie .. and apparently he didnt know how to lie 🤣🤣🤣 becoz he didnt pay attention to details 🤣🤣🤑
Good thing he not helping him😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
No one remembers the opponents hands. Completely flimsy.
It’s crazy that’s Jessica’s real life brother
Lawyers/Advocates/Barristers have ethics classes? For what? Ethics dictates that when you know your client is wrong you drop the case, not build a false case and win for the criminals..... Either the subject like ethics need to go, or it should have a more severe psychological evolution to pass the bar

That ethic professor is like democrats. Telling their voting base they are for the people, and they turn around and increase fuel cost, house/rent. Letting immigrants into the US to take their jobs and inflation that only affects the middle class and the poor.
You think democrats have a switch that raises fuel costs? Or the cost of a house? Or inflation? That's just wildly ignorant and idiotic.
@@WeaslyTwin Brandon campaigned on ending fossil fuels so who's going to make the investment to find and extract new fuel from the ground knowing that and what do you think happens to the cost when the supply is limited? Also fire hosing money into the economy devalues the currency which is what causes inflation so yeah they are to blame.
@@AverageLeagueHack Oh you sweet summer child. Oil costs are what they are because in the summer of 2020 prices plummeted as a response to the pandemic. That caused a lot of layoffs in the drilling industry. A lot of smaller drilling companies even closed permanently. And in reality the amount of drilling is actually up, so people are looking for and extracting new fuel, what you said is just blatantly wrong. Production is actually on the upswing since 2020. It's only down 8-10% since the peak in 2019, and still higher than in 2018.
Also, the increase in inflation isn't due to putting money into the economy. It's due to the fact that during the pandemic no one was spending money, they were saving it. Then when the pandemic began to settle down people began spending again and companies couldn't keep up with the demand. What do you think happens to the cost when supply is limited?
