Axl is indeed recognized! He is the greatest frontman ever in history. GNR & Axl were, still are, & will be forever written in books of history always to be remembered as the greatest rock band ever! If you were not around or too young in the late 1980's or early 90's to see it all firsthand, then you are just not aware of the impact GNR had on music! They were always voted Top Rock Group in hisory for too many years to recall! They have memorable songs nobody will ever forget unless they live under a rock.

Raw power. The whole band. The complete package. No one should ever possess all that he does. I'm 58 and the excitement watching them to this day is pure exhilaration flooded with nostalgia. It was incredible to see in person. Give anything to see him/them now I do not care how much it costs. That is history.. they are icons. Our children will only read about them but we will have had the chance to see them, to see history. Never a band like them and never will be, extremely unique and versatile. Worth everything to me 🌹🤙

I just turned 40 and I have been in complete utter love with GNR since I was a little girl. Thank God I have an older bro (and mum) who had/has awesome taste in music because GNR was always playin in the house or car. I remember when we were decorating the Christmas Tree and my mum said to my bro, “hey can you put on some music to decorate the tree too?“ and the next thing she hears is Patience! Lmao my dad and mum laughed so hard! What she meant for my bro to do was to put on the usual Christmas music we always play as we decorate the tree or while unwrapping gifts. The cool thing is they left it on instead of having hun turn it off. 🙃
I will always treasure this band. Always and forever. I’ve always wanted to see them live and now that they are re touring again, I hope I get to finally have that chance. Not to be a whiny baby but I lost my job due to COVID and things haven’t been the same financially (as it hasn’t with many people). But I’ll be darned if I miss a chance to see them play and I’m going to find a way to do so!
Anyways, take care GNR fans and just know that you all fucking Rock! 😘

However, I can't agree with greatest anything in music history. Axl Rose had serious anger issues. Great frontmen don't cuss at, walk out on and disappoint their audience, the people who actually pay his salary.

I remember watching this Mtv awards show in like,, ‘89? Ive always been a huge Guns fan, and all night they were hyping or teasing a performance from Guns n Roses or Axl. The show was coming to an end, I’d been watching determined not to miss it, then Petty comes on stage! I like Tom Petty, I always have, but I was PISSED! Cussing and throwing shit at the TV, then the second verse kicks in and axle comes on stage and all was right with the world again! I Axl turned that place on his head, he even surprised the hell out of Tom Petty. You could tell whenever he’s hitting all those high notes and Petty’s like “WOW”!

Although there are a few good notable features and covers like Axls version of Alice Coopers 'Under My Wheels', 'I Did You No Wrong' off of Steve Jones Fire and Gasoline, 'Dead Flowers' by Gilby Clarke off Pawnshop Guitars and 'Back in the Saddle' with Sebastian Bach off of Angel Down. Not sure if there's live performances though. I'm pretty sure there are a few of Dead, Jail though
@@blacksunshine7485 I prefer the live stuff when possible, shows the true performer in Axl. I wish I had live Mama Kin with Aerosmith during the 1988 Aerosmith tour. The last night of GNR opening for them, they invited Slash and Axl to play which I have the audio of and is awesome. I know there is France 92 as well

Any musician will tell you his voice is very weak but it is also very unique. When you hear his voice you know right away who it is. The guy has no range and his voice hasn’t held up. Its more about his image and that his voice fits the music he plays. He is no rob halford or Bruce Dickerson or numerous other great voices but he has his place as a rock star.
