The online is back on both console but need jailbreak
i am thinking about replaying all of the GTA games that are on the 360 beating all of the missions
@Kingcw27x i want the 360 version made to be backwards compatible on Xbox One & Series X/S, it’s better than the flying bike crap
I owned gta 5 on xbox 360
Still own one
Another thing people forget is that the old gen version of the game actually had better car damage. After they added the first person view, they dumbed down the damage models so the view doesn't get obstructed, but on the old systems you could crush the roof and stuff like that.
And nobody fckin used the first-person mode other than trying it out 😂😂

Not to shabby for a 2013 game running on 2005 hardware.
Not too shabby at all!
it´s mind blowing to think that it is running on 512mb of RAM, while having a PC today with that amount of RAM wouldn´t even ve able to stream a video
@@marcosfernandez7959 I think we forget that on PC RAM is eaten up by stuff like Chrome and the OS, while on PS3 and 360 those were meant to have a light OS to run games faster.
@@marcosfernandez7959Well yeah, the Xbox 360/PS3 OS was very basic by today's standards. And GTA V looks horrid as well.
@@hugopereira5640horrid? It’s pretty mutch the same. I actually prefer 360 version because it looks more like low resolution camera footage rather than uncanny valley hd quality
Crazy to think Rockstar Games has managed to fit all of this in only 256 MB of RAM. This fact alone is outrageously impressive. GTA V is the biggest milestone in video games industry - not only because of this. The game is practically a masterpiece for so many reasons ❤
it's actually 512MB LOL
What? Didn't the game come with like a 5GB install disk?
@@marcosescobar5348 RAM not GB
@@marcosescobar5348 RAM and not HDD. By the way - Xbox had texture streaming problems and people were supposed to install GTA V on flash disks instead of HDDs.
@@statticxx And funnily enough for the PS3 version it was ACTUALLY 256MB!
Well, technically anyway. Far as I know it was 256 for the CPU and 256 for the GPU.
So either way that was fucking impressive. Now we can barely even run games with 16GB and, despite how much better the industry has gotten, optimization is still a relatively unknown territory in many games. Pitiful, really.
How this game plays still well on the 360 is a miracle, we loved seeing the Star Wars RGH console making an appearance. 👀

If you load a save game after finishing the prologue, it loads the game much faster. Also the 30 fps, your eyes get used to it after a while, only when you switch between 60fps and 30fps games does it get annoying.
I couldn't agree more.....i just saw a few kids that hate on xbox 360s graphics and they were not even born when xbox 360 came out...
I agree with the 30fps thing. I remember back in the 360 days before I got my Xbox One, then my pc, I thought 30fps was smooth. When I got my pc and was able to play 60+ and now 30fps is just unbearable lmao, but if I have to for a specific game I can stand it long enough to get used to it

It looked incredible in 2013, it's common for consoles to only be used to their full potential towards the end of their life when programmers try to get every last drop out of the hardware in an attempt to make it look as close as possible to the latest hardware, the Xbox One and PS4 came out a few months after this game was first released.

The GTA V online servers for PS3 and Xbox 360 were shut down because development continued for the PS4/One version due to being restrained by the old hardware. And to prevent from having to maintain two seperate branches of GTA Online, they just canned the first one which was a good call. GTA IV still runs because it doesn't have that issue, there is no new content for it so it's current state has minimum maintenance.

Back when I played this first on the ps3, it was very immersive..story, environment, npcs and the randomness..it was quite ground breaking..
Here in Brazil, there are a lot of people who still use the consoles of past generations, because they can't buy a PS4, XBX One, PC... When Rockstar closed the GTA V servers online, it was a great sadness, you still you can see people in facebook groups regretting not being able to play anymore. Rockstar could consider more those players who don't have that much money, because here in Brazil a console is very expensive, and the games are also very expensive. PS5 BRL 4,000.00, GTA V BRL 150.00, minimum wage BRL 1,320.
:( That honestly sad.
Nostalgic, my first console was a PS3 Fat and my first game GTA 5. Good old memories with Friends in gta online on old gen., i Miss this good old times

Crazy this game came out 10 Yo ago - I swore when I first played this game I never expected I'd have to wait 10+ years for the next one.
Don't get me wrong RDR2 was freaking amazing and worth it 100%. But 10 freaking years geeeez!
I still remember when GTA III and Vice City came out and everyone called them mind blowing then
I still have an XBOX 360 with Kinect and I bought GTA 5 as a download back in the day. The only thing that annoys me is that when they took the servers offline, any shares you had in the BAWSAQ exchange are lost (with the money you spent on them). My version of Franklin had all the money from the final heist, multiplied through the assassination missions, but I had most of it it in a BAWSAQ company (so if I ended up in hospital I wouldn't be charged the maximum for the stay) and now it's gone. Thankfully I had him buy the gold course so he gets quite a lot of money every week of in-game play so he's not doing badly for himself.
I played the side missions, did the stunt jumps, flew under the bridges (so much easier in a helicopter) and got the 100% t-shirt so I occasionally fire it up to just drive and fly around the map. Occasionally I get a call because one of my bars or clubs is being robbed but most of the time I use the game as a mini Los Angeles (sorry: Los Santos) scenery simulator.
My mind was blown with GTA5 on the 360! Hope to get my mind blown again on the ps5 with GTA6
I’ve had this game on 360, Xbox one, and now series S. Got it a month after release.
crazy to think it's running on 2005 hardware and still running fine
I still remember the day it released very vividly. I went to EB games before school and picked up my pre order of the special edition, it came with the steelbook case and a blue print map, which now I have it laminated so it doesn't get damaged and still have it in perfect condition in storage. I had to put my school bag in the teachers office for the day cause when a couple kids at school found out I had it in my bag they tried to flog it lmfaoo. Got home and immediately jumped on my 360, joined party chat with a mate and started playing the game. Perfection straight away, was the only game I played for a good week or so then when GTA Online released I no lifed that for so long.
I remember reading the Strategy Guide at Walmart... Then some dude in a suit was like is that GTA V Strategy Guide!? I said yup, he was like a kid in a candy store! Lol
GTA 5 xbox 360 version got leaked about a week or 2 before the release date, I downloaded the game and played it on my RGH but purchased the PS3 version with the hardback strategy guide from GameStop on release date. I honestly didn't play it much because I really wanted to experience this game on PC. I never beat any of the console versions, but I did play GTA online on the 360 with some cool mod menus for a long time, I got some cool captures and screenshots before they shut the servers down, but yeah, it's very impressive this game runs as well as it does on the 360 ps3. I built a new gaming PC in March of 2015 so I would be ready to crank the settings up on GTA 5 and I was blown away with how well the game ran on that build. I remember owning a pretty high spec PC when gta 4 came out and it ran like trash on my q6600 4gb ddr2 with an 8800gts 768mb model, I was pretty pissed about that, and I wanted to make sure I got the best experience I possibly could with gta 5.
As a gamer who loves games since I was very very young, and having some 'compulsive way' of playing during a period of my life, and considering I had the same good feeling playing all the non-online GTA stuff regardless of the low fps, or the not that good graphics (speaking especially about GTA III, VC and SA), I concluded: like any substance of life, we need to be careful as gamers with what we are going to play and HOW we are going to play.
There was a time when I thought online games were a kind of dead end, where nothing was worthy enough if not connected, where even my friend asked 'is that online' when I hit a good headshot on a game. But it was actually a dilemma, a much more clear and maybe solved (for some people) dilemma, that remains as a big trap, especially for new players.
I'm saying this because I am a guy who played GTA SA, then I played GTA III AFTER GTA SA, and those outdated mechanics from GTA III or stuff like bikes not existing in the game seemed to be nothing. And if it seemed, it was nothing. Because gaming will always be about sensations. And sensations is what is removed from players when you begin saving a money that does not exist in an online game to buy a flying bike that will 'save you' from drive the whole game's map, and when you see it, you are flying very very high, and you never see the detail of a soda can there on the ground of a dark street, you never see the detail of the tire's rubber wearing on the ground, you never look at the character's sneakers, well, I guess you all got my point.
Today at 30, I see clearly that, like any substance, we need to be careful with what we're gonna play and how we'll do that, because videogames are about sensations, feelings and they are all connected with sights, views, sounds and DETAILS. That's why we loved GTA III, VC, SA, IV and V right on day one. We covered each corner of those maps offline, looking at each little thing, using pistols and not flying bike with missiles lol we didn't play for stats, how many we've killed, how many fake money we had, well, that's it.
Since I detected this trap, and some years ago I was playing without seeing anything on the screen, like if it was a compulsive trip, I've changed my way of playing. Firstly, having a little break and focusing on other stuff of my life, but as soon as I came back, I've never played games because other people were playing, I've never played compulsive online stuff again (which means most of time no online games at all), I've never kept playing games that I don't think are good enough, and the most important: when I play something, I play alone, not connected, paying attention to any detail game brings, from the texture of the walls to the voice acting, and even deeper things like the FEELING a place of the map brings.
Yeah, I play like that. I've always played games in like, one hour sessions over a year. I'm still trying to beat GOW Ragnarok. Only finished RDR2 like end of 2021. I compulsively look at textures in detail and explore for nooks and crannies. I mainly play games for the story and immersion so particularly like games like Last of Us and Metro series. And with series like Mass Effect, even the new Guardians of Galaxy game they are great for their dialogue and characters. I also almost always play games in series order. That way you don't play GTA SA first as it's harder to go back to GTA 3 and enjoy it for what it is. Without the nostalgia especially. I started with Vice City so I can enjoy that after SA but not 3
@@jonny-b4954 I think you are getting the best from games, in my opinion if people were watching less trailers/teasers/gameplays would be better for all the gamers individually. Okay, I understand content producers need to show content but from the pov of the player I guess like any kind of art like movies, music, mindfulness is totally welcome. It's so important being into what we do. Immersion is everything. I've been playing Stalker Gamma lately, a good game with a good immersion, Stalker is already a good game but those mods make it better and make you look closer to every detail of the game.
We’ve hit the point in society where gamers are telling other gamers to essentially go touch grass, inside of video games. What a time to be alive

@@fredster594 I don't really have much nostalgia to it since I actually saw this version of GTA 5 at such a young age, I never noticed when the graphical leap happened between PS3 to PS4. I like it though because It feels more solid then the other versions, I don't know how to explain, but the other versions of GTA 5 feel like they are changed in someway, especially with that irritating lense flare that is present in PS4 and even more on PS5, like seriously they over did the lense flare on the new enhanced GTA 5. If you want any reason to play it, the PS3 version of GTA 5 recently had GTA online running again, but u need a modded PS3 to play GTA online on old consoles. I remember having an Xbox 360 and wanting an Xbox One so badly so I could play the next gen version and now I want an Xbox 360 just so I can see how the 360 version looked like. I can't get over how good it actually still looks, the resolution and performance is bad by current standards but the actual fidelity still looks amazing.
in all honesty this is my favourite version of the game - i prefer it's viusal style that is more coherent, and i much prefer it's weather system. I have to say though i play on crt so for me the image is sharp - i can guess the resolution would be a problem on modern tv. Lack of 1st person is ultimately a positive for me because without mods it wasn't the best with tiny fov and not the greatest weapon position
i have to point out that i have it also on pc and ps4 (maxed out plus mods if i want on pc), but still i just like og version better. All in all it comes down to style and how coherent visuals are - never cared for 60 fps also but i get why it can be irritating for some, objectively pc is superior

@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw Top tip: Never reply to YT comments when in an emotional / nostalgic mood but yeah I love my mom!
@@hunyesmith03 Didn't mean any Offense... My mom played with me too some times she's similar age to yours!
@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw Oh god, no, I know you didn’t, so sorry! I’m just in a weird nostalgic mood right now, that’s all! Your comment made me send my mom a WhatsApp telling her how much I love and appreciate her, and she was super happy about that. So yeah, honestly I’m sorry if I made it seem like you said something wrong you absolutely didn’t. I’m just going through some health problems and am all nostalgic atm! Haha. But yeah, gamer moms are the best!
Dude, are you back online for the game?
I like the old gen better because you can get busted in certain vehicles that you can't in enhanced versions of the game.
Huh ?
That's the only reason?
Made no sense
It's because of a bug in the enhanced versions.
Great video
There was a mod for the 360 that took the camera and placed it in first person (kind of) it was a little wonky but it worked. Very few people got to try it out though for the story mode. There was a glitch online i remember that could put you in first person mode.
It came out on my birthday, never forget that 18 . Picked it up at midnight release, got my alcohol and weed. Damn that was some good times
I was there at the beginning, man, crazy lol I wish I was at the beginning of GTA 4 tho
I was 9 when gta 5 came out and 10 years later im 19 everytime i hear gta 5 was realeased in 2013 i feel old lol
met my best friend on GTA V on the 360, we're still good friends and we hangout almost everyday.
It's crazy how an old Xbox console can run really nicely with GTA 5, not so bad ain't it?
dont think so no , really strong of an oldie like xb360 .
I still play this game on Xbox 360, I have since 2013. That’s because I don’t have next gen 😂 just did story mode again a couple weeks ago. It’s great. And replayed gta 4 too. Love it
Amazing looking after all these years
I just found my old Xbox 360 in the garage and I can finally play gta 5 just ordered it should hopefully get it in 4-5 days
I remember playing GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 in August of 2014. Waited till my dad left for work and I hopped on the second he left. I was 7 at the time, now I'm 16 and in highschool.
Honestly , if there is still a fanbase that plays on the 360 then i think we might get a custom mod for online like on pc the Gta Coop mod thats a custom server for cracked gta 5.
GTA V was the game that introduced me to installing a game before you played it on console (ofc I had been doing that for years on PC)
Does console warehouse offer send-in services for RGH?
bro i remember going so fast in adders that the game would unload and graphics go mush
The big goods trailers can still open and it would be fun to mess with if the online was still up.
Just about to start this game on 360 thanks 4 the warn up it's loading now
This game runs on technology from 2005-2006. With that in consideration, this game is amazing
Yea I have been going back to my Xbox 360 to see how games have changed like the original Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption. They are surprisingly good looking considering the time but the frame rates are all over the place especially ME.
I just got this yesterday.
justr bought this game on xbox 360 since i had it when i was a kid so i got hit with a wave of nostalgia
🥺💜
also redownloaded gta 4 and i started dancing when it downloaded lol
I still be wanting to play ps3 gtao, truly a time to be alive
