I was having a break from decorating one day and had all the upstairs windows open when i heard some knockers coming to the door. And one was saying to the other in a very determined way '...and don't fucking take no for an answer!!'. Needless to say i didn't answer the door...
wtached this back in 1983 was a great documentry been looking for this for years my father did have this on vhs . what happened to woolich there was no mention of him in the 1993 doc thanx for a great post
The first wave of casuals certainly weren't clones the boys are definitely characters. I'm not from east London but these guys are well worth a documentary and it's good to see this time of life documented, the 80's fashion etc
My uncle used to dress like this; drainpipe jeans, white socks, slip-on shoes, pringle jumper + medallion. Must have been the east end look in the mid 80s

I recognise a few of the faces in this video from WHUFC's firm in the early 80s. Believe you me I'm no lover of the 'irons' but these lads were the real deal, they dished it out all over England and took their kickings when things got out of hand like in Manchester when outnumbered 5 to one they stood and got bashed up. Not sure if it was before or after that they give it to United on the ferry to Holland .
RicTic66 The ferry was 86,15 icf were upstairs drinking in the inter city bar, took on 150 Man U and held them off for hours they had to turn the boat round back to England.👊⚒
One of the fore-runners of fake documentaries, or at least acted documentaries. The fight scene being the best example. The whole thing wreaks of staging and orchestration.
Around the same time the Sun newspaper did a big story about Tilbury, pretended it had a massive skinhead problem when it was just a bit boring grey town without those problems.
I doubt the Jewish businessman made it all from the knocking game! 😂💀 I have an inkling he may have made his fortune from his jewellery shop in Leicester Square! More likely lent the knocker boss the money to get the stock…
I remember when we tore up Derby's brand spanking new stadium... that took the jam out of many doughnuts that day when they upped the ante, called and got bust, them seats made lethal frisbees :P
This is what these jokers you see at football now clad in their stone island coat and thinking that's all it takes, back in the day everything revolved around the firm (hate that phrase),we were all mates who trusted each other to graft and fight with.
0:50 in conjunction with ICF Services 😄😄 that made me chuckle
So glad to find this is remember watching the original back in the day.
The knockers are knocking on around 60 plus now. Cracking doc.
I said to someone earlier my uncle played one of the Millwall lot, you're right he's about 63 I think
I saw this back on the air back in 1993. I thought it was great because I love 80's stuff.
I'd love to see the original film again. Can't find it anywhere.

Thanks for posting, great documentary.
This was amazing - thanks for posting!
Brilliant to see again. I used to play in the same football team with Mark - funny bloke.
The ICF ladies and gentlemen.....proper lads. A young Andy Swallow....classic.
Labello Blanco, some classic on that label. Wasn't expecting to see that label in this documentary. Great doc, good watch
I think Havin it in Ibiza was released on Labello Blanco. First track On Ya Way by Helicopter ❤️ I give it a spin now and again.
There’s something really really nice about this video
yeah. the good old days.
Propper jack the lads, true characters doesnt seem to be many left nowadays enjoyed watching this.

He coached at west ham.
@@eld460 you sure about that?
@@bigbadjohn07 he still is, alongside pottsie.

Bob looks so young ⚒🙏👊
Bob Mills?

I love to know if the original Documentary is out there somewhere ?
Seamus is a proper switched on geezer and character. He’s more of an actor than the bod who shacked up with the posh sort
The one with dark hair on the right at the start is a young Bob Mills!
Selling a oven glove and a iron board cover was like winning the lottery 😂
In conjecture with ICF Services 😂😂
Anyone spot the young Andy Swallow of icf fame?
Most of them if not all was icf
Geezer at 10:32 looks like Chris from Skins. 'Two leather dusters for a paaand'
"He's four by two, you know. Front wheel".
Had to google what he was on about, he might as well have been speaking French.
I can't believe that there are actually people in Britain who have to Google common Rhyming slang:four by two =jew front wheel skid =yid
@@michaelharrison3602I'm familiar with most rhyming slang but "four by two" and "front wheel" are not ones that I have heard in common conversation
Me neither.
Lol, im gonna start using that phrase on facebook and/or 4chan.
Heard 4 by 2 loads of times but never front wheel
15:40 'muggy boneheads' lol
Classic
Been laughing at this for 20 years
Good stuff
like to see how they are getting on in 2023
And they reckon the lads before them were mugs and kept shouting out silly things ?
The fight was fake
You don't say!!
Like a fucking audition for EastEnders.

IRONS !! Great to see swallow n that clearly show despise humble beginnings , talent and that entrepreneurial spirit shines through
Irons as in Iron Hoofs
Yeah, you cant argue with that
I would answer the door the young man "I would love you show you somthing upstairs".
Andy is a old man now.
I thought this was going to be a documentary about Katie Price.
Someone should do a 40th anniversary reunion documentary. I imagine they won't be hard to track down. They're probably on Facebook.
A few are but most of them not

Man Utd and Chelsea were the best at claiming a result when outnumbering the opposition 5 to 1, like it was something to brag about.
