- 7 New Features I'd Love to see Added to Minecraft - In minecraft we've been spoiled with new updates, 1.13 and the new 1.14 I thought i'd like to share some new feature Ideas i had. All of these minecraft feature demonstrations are prototypes and not how they might actually look. Let me know which are your favourites!

I mean they are both equally important for different reasons. The 1.9 combat update split the entire pvp and mini game community.
They should just have a option for 1.8 or 1.9 pvp in the world gen options, they allow should have gamerule 1.8 combat true or false.

this isnt my idea but there should be an achievement called "houston, we have a problem" when you break an elytra over y = 500 (but you have to survive the fall)
why would you have to survive or die? if the elytra breaks there, I think you get the achievement then and that's that

I think:
1:The tethered arrows seem like a neat idea, but redundant with the ender pearl, so meh.
2:The charged slime I could take or leave, but the merging slimes and giant slime boss would be AWESOME.
3:The faces on snow golems is a no-brainer. This should be in the game immediately. Imagine right clicking on a golem with sticks and produce to change the faces. I bet a beetroot would make it look like rudolph.
4:I'm personally not that interested in the rotten wood, but it's not a rotten idea. I could see it being fun for those interested.
5:Illumination enchantments seem like a good idea, but personally, I'd rather be in the habit of blocking spawns with my torches, and it interferes with that.
6:The Chorus Pearl seems like a really nice idea. Neat way to throw some chaos into the world, and, imagine if you could shoot it from dispensers!
7:The air conduit seems like the best idea that would be the most useful, but also gives me the stinking suspicion that it will never happen.
The problem with the air conduit probably is where you would get the aqua items from whilst trying to get a OnLandBlockThing (Not ocean related). But it would make it hard to get which is good
Tethered arrows definitely could have a use, not taking damage and also being able to use it without dealing with endermen.
1. It's not as redundant as you think: Ender pearls injure you on landing, while the tethered arrows wouldn't.
2. I agree. It's about time we got another boss mob.
3. I don't think we should make the golems editable. . . Otherwise, I agree.
4. Yes, it absolutely would be fun. For me, anyways. . .
5. I think the illumination enchantment would be ideal for underwater exploration.
6. Dispensing Chorus Pearls? That would be an effective security system, actually.

But it's kinda sus when you see a block that looks like a snow block than wood

What if the faces didn't have a nose to start out with, and then the player can right-click the snowman whilst holding a carrot to add the carrot nose? Just wanted to put that out there :)

For anyone who doesn't get it, you can use map art on glow item frames that look like wood and then put it on dripleaf. The only problem is that it's hard to set up and might not look as good
Although there's no rotten wood, powder snow is a thing now. The only issue is I believe carpets keep you from falling through powder snow if it's atop. The item frame and dripleaf idea is pretty cool though :) I personally LOVE glow ink sacks for signs as it adds a lot more detail to them.

If the air conduit ever gets added, it would be cool if you could dye it to get it to project a coloured aura of it's effective range.
Here we are 5 years later:
- The bow is still incredibly popular (crossbow didnt eliminate the need for a bow)
- I still think the random snow golem faces would be funny, akin to the panda's dif faces/types
- I think a holdable lantern item would ALSO still be neat/helpful. They did vaguely like... add more lighting into the caves but not in an enchantment
- I also still like the Chorus Pearl, maybe as a throwable potion?
- I feel like we kinda got this from Dripleaf! Not fully but a similar concept!

@@islandprincess714 "expensive" how is that? they're about as "expensive" (which should be corrected to rare) as any other mob drop like rotten flesh or bones, plus endermen can be one of the easiest mobs to kill since you can get into a 2 block high building and kill them without getting damaged.

Coming back to this, seeing the chorus pearl idea here, I came up with a different idea for it, so my idea is that it drops out of the chorus flower while the fruit comes from the stem(or as known in game as the chorus plant), you can throw the chorus pearl and teleport without taking the damage that the ender pearl causes, but the teleportation would be less accurate, teleporting you within a ten block radius of where the pearl lands

I seriously believe that the alternating snow men/golem faces should be brought into the game. It looks like it’d give a space much more character, and it’d be a (slightly) hidden feature....which I’m sure everyone likes to find. Issa thumbs up from me :D

My Idea: Bees. Bees would naturally spawn in plains. Bees would produce honey which could be eaten plain or used in crafting recipes. If you provoke bees, you will take a heart of damage.

When I was a wee lad I was on a swing. It was fun. However what I didn't know was that there was many hornet nests in the swing. So some of the nests fell and bees came swarming out. The bees all stung me. My neck swelled up to 3 times the size and my mom rushed me to the hospital. Ever since then I've been traumatized
Undoubtedly my favorite was the air conduit because as a builder, I can see how useful it would be and it would make building so much fun. Also it would just be fun to swim around in the air and enjoy the view from high up with having to use rockets and an elytra or make a pillar that you can fall off of.
I feel like if the bow and teather is added ever, infinity would allow you to use it infinitely

Instead of losing the lead every time there should be like a 20 % chance for it to dissapear just like the eyes of ender, otherwise it would be waaay too expensive.

Hannaya Pelekai I was thinking you would craft something like an arrow with string and use that as the resource. And just as other special arrows it would not be affected by infinity. Meaning frequent use on an adventure requires at least a stack so that you don’t run out and get stuck.

@Simone Auclert technically with night vision and water breathing potions and aqua infinity everything the conduit did we already had access to it just makes it less frustrating which isn't a bad thing. But I also understand what you mean ^_^
what if there were physics to the bow and tether, perhaps moving away from the point its hook to can gain you momentum?
Things that I really want in Minecraft:
1. Furniture
2. More food options
3. The option to pet your tamed animal
4. Different breeds of dogs (WHYD THEY ONLY DO IT TO CATS)
5. To be able to summon paranormal in Minecraft
Ok can we just talk about when you were left with half a heart from that creeper explosion when you were talking about dynamic lighting and then a gravel block almost fell on you...

I actually love this idea! I've *never* made leather armor unironically, and this would be great, maybe we could have a pocketed leggings item (we have the turtle helmet for special headgear, the elytra as a special torso-wear, and many enchants for boots, so why not make a toolbelt-equipped leather pair of pants?)

YES!!!! This is genius
To balance your "bow & teather," I would say that the arrow should only stick in certain blocks, have a MUCH shorter & even hard-capped projectile range when compared to the bow, & have it deal minimal damage. Also, it shouldn't work if you're too heavy, be that way with hefty armor, or even having inventory slots filled to the brim with blocks.
Being able to sling yourself over a hypothetically infinite distance relative to normal arrow physics is overpowered. Having a hard-cap on the arrow's distance will prevent it from being overpowered, especially for such a menial cost.
Allowing the arrow to latch onto only certain types of blocks would make it balanced for survival, as a player shouldn't be given that much freedom for no cost. Players should have to look for a newly naturally occuring cobblestone or mossy cobblestone block whilst mining in order to traverse caves, as the arrow wouldn't stick in SOLID stone. Dirt or grass is too weak of a block to support your weight in such a manner, so players should look for nearby logs, trees, or wooden planks for their arrows to stick in. Players could also plan on placing special blocks, like stripped logs or slime blocks, littering them in strategic places so that they can more easily traverse hazardous terrains.
If you're wearing 2 or more pieces of gold, iron, diamond, or netherite armor, that's just too heavy to lift. But, leather & chain won't hold you back one bit! This will give travelers an actual reason to search for or hold onto their collected chain armor, or for players against chain armor, maybe this could encourage them to use leather for something, or even customize their armor with dyes!
If its that limited then players would use Ender pearl which you have a lot of with enderman farm.
@@MartonBenett of course. Hunting Endermen takes risk in order to get rare enderpearls, which are single-use.
You shouldn't have infinite free mobility once you attach string to an arrow, such a menial cost.
Besides, enderpearls hurt, and this grapple-tether looks like it can have a skill ceiling to allow more interesting movement mechanics more than just "PSI-Teleport."

Bow and tether might be cool, I think it should instead of consuming a lead every time just have like 5 uses before it breaks. Idk about the slime merging, might mess up some people's slime farms. Charged slime is a really good idea, would make for some really nice new parkour options and stuff. For snowman faces, it would be funny and there is no reason NOT to add them, so I like it. For rotten wood, maybe it could be added but of course we have the dripleaf plant (although there could be things different about it). Torches lighting up things while in your hand was actually an idea I wanted added to minecraft for a while, illumination helmet would also be really cool just like the torches but you could actually do something like a shield and a pick or a totem and a sword in your hands at the same time. Chorus pearl is a good idea but I think costing an ender pearl might be too much as it is random teleportation, so maybe something like teleportation arrows out of chorus fruit instead? Air conduit would have to be something found in the end probably but its a good idea. Nice ideas btw, I liked the vid!

They should add charged copper, by getting copper hit with lightning. Charged copper would have all the functionality of the redstone block, and change the redstone block to be redstone dust in block form. Redstone blocks would no longer produce power, being replaced by charged copper blocks, but would instead carry a charge through it and output that power in all 6 directions.
thats a terrible idea, redstone blocks are used everywhere so thatd just make them worthless. if anything it should be the other way around , adding and not subtracting
@SanaeKochiya it'd be easy to do without breaking anyone's already made redstone contraptions. You'd update the Redstone block into charged copper block and then "add in" the redstone block. That way, any contraptions using the redstone block would already have the correct block(s) in place.

for the giant slime maybe it could also consume other mobs or even the player to attack you , it would be different than a normal slime that way too , it could consume you into it and trap you waiting for you to get out kind of like goo , it would be cool if when killing it and getting slime or whatever maybe you could craft goo too and maybe in slime chunks and caves sometimes there would be goo/it would be filled with goo adding even more atmosphere to the game

Idea: a new tool making item, the end gem, this is extremely strong and as you may already understand, its end based and therefore magical! This gem is EXTREMELY RARE, and you can only mine it's ore from netherite pickaxe and you can upgrade the netherite tools and armor with it, the use is that when a player uses the ender gem made tools of another player, he will be quickly killed by magic. Which means the precious tools is yours and will always be... Now as it is extremely rare, and making one tool from is too, it won't drop when dead, it will still be with you. It is immune to lava and cactuses.

I think it would be nice with having "abandoned cabins" in the game, made of normal wood and rotten wood. Like, old abandoned lumberjack cabins with loot in it, like axes, food or maps. And if you fall through the floor (rotten wood) you would come to a small basement made of cobblestone and mossy cobblestone.
And the cabins could be found in any biome that have a forest.
