Can I ask you something
Finally someone who actually trains people thru visual example. There are many videos on other channels that just skip through steps that complete beginners like me need to know. Thanks for the great video, Subscribed!
Comments like this make it all worth it! So happy to help!
This is the single most useful how to video on wood burning that I've seen! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I’m delighted you found it helpful!
You have given me a few more ideas
You explained it like we were 3. Thank you. Going watch this a ton!
😂 Glad you found it helpful!
Your voice is very nice to listen to
Thank you 😊
Being called a pyro makes me feel awesome 😂 thank you for this video doing my first ever piece and needed a video and you provided
So happy it helped! Thanks pyro 😏🙌🔥
Great Teacher for Pyrography 👍
Thank you!🥰
I've been wood burning for many years and wish videos like this were available back then. Starting from beginning to improve my techniques.
That means so much - it’s exactly why I started this channel! 🙌🔥
I did wood burning in my high school workshop class, and im just now getting back into the hobby 15 years later. So glad i came across your channel! Very clear demonstrations! Thank you so much for showing me new things i didn't even know about! Most definitely subscribing and will check out your classes 😊
That makes my day. So happy you’re learning and enjoying it! See you around CZcams!
Your video Is the only one out there that talks about the basics. A video I needed to begin doing wood burning. Thank you for posting one for all of us beginners to see and learn from
Yaaassss!!! This is exactly why I made it. So happy it’s helping 🙌🔥
Thank you for the lessons of how to get myself started. 😊 I feel more confident on how to learn to achieve my project (letters and numbers.)
That’s what I love to hear! 🙌
Just found your channel by accident. I have learned more from this first video than watching others and doing on my own.
Comments like THIS keep me going! Thank you
Your very welcome. I to have been an instructor. I want to become fully instructed in burning, not just for wood but leather as well. Leather has been my first love.
Ooo I’ll be sharing about leather a little later this year. 🙌🔥 It’s definitely wonderful to burn.
Sounds great.
Very helpful. Bought a low end wood burner tool. With the techniques you taught in this video I don't see the need to upgrade to an expensive tool for the small projects I am doing. Thank you for taking the time to make this informational video. 😁
Happy to help! If you hone your techniques, you can certainly do everything with a low end burner that you can with a high end burner! For me, the biggest difference was just the speed that I could work and the variety of specialty nibs. Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Awesome. I Really enjoyed and learned a lot. I do appreciate.
Happy to hear it 🙌🔥
You are a wonderful teacher! So clear - great simple explanations about why and how you do this craft -- and the demonstration with the materials is just perfect. Thank you!
This makes my day! So happy to have helped!
Thank you so much. This makes it look much easier to do
Happy to help 😊🔥
Sitting here with my 3month old daughter casting videos to my tv. I put this one on and she started to smile at you 🥰 hope that brightens your day lol
Oh what a sweetheart. 🥰 She’s got me smiling back!

You’re welcome!
The new upgraded video of 7 mistakes is really good. Music not so loud. Easier to listen to.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙌🔥
Thank you so much for your positive words of encouragement!!!!
Of course! Glad it was helpful for you 🔥🙌
Tq u so much 🥰 wonderful Explanation
Glad it was helpful!
Great video
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this tip just bought one
You got a new subscriber
So glad it was helpful! Welcome to the pyro family 🔥🙌
Thank you for this. I wanted to learn a new hobby to keep me busy over the winter, so I got a beginner's woodburning kit and didn't know where to start. Now I do! I have a lot of scrap wood leftover from other projects, so no shortage of practice surfaces here. Hopefully I'll be able to make something nice one day.
Glad I could help you get started 🙌 🔥
Coool, thank you
Happy to help 🔥🙌
It's interesting to note the suggested tip used ..thanks .
Glad it was helpful! 🔥🙌

Glad I could help 🔥🙌
For those of you that are watching this on your phone ..you can pinch the screen and zoom in on her lines and really get a good look…it helped me understand it better by getting a close up look. 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing that tip 🙌
Have the equipment, a dual wire nib set up with full heat control, bass wood ordered, smoke extractor ordered. Yes I want to learn pyrography! your tips guide and this presentation is an absolute boon for me, your presentations are better than watching t.v.👍Thank you you so much for your efforts and presentaions. Kindest regards (Tony UK)
I’m so happy you enjoy the videos! You’re going to love learning 🔥
In case she didn't mention it, she teaches all this in her learn and burn course
😂 Glad you caught that
Hi Jannie,
Great information. I get so many requests / questions about burning with solid point pen tips. I have zero experience with them, and zero desire to gain experience with them. :)
With your permission, I'd like to put a link of this video on my website to help people find answers they need. I don't embed videos. Instead, the link would open CZcams, and you would get any and all views on your CZcams channel.
Brenda
Haha! Totally understand that when the wire tools are so much faster and easier! Linking to this video from your site would be amazing. Thanks for sharing Brenda!
Thank you for letting me link to it. It's on my YT video page on my website. Thanks again.
Of course! Thanks for the link!
Hello, do you have a video where you recommend and compare the best woodburning tools?
Not yet, but it’s on my list of videos to make this year
Just starting to make wood rings and i want to put some runes on them and want to know if i can use a soldering iron for this??
Yep. The basic woodburning tools are soldering irons. Just realize that rings are exceptionally hard to burn because they are small and a round surface. I hope it works out well for you!🙌
So we'll demonstrated and explained
Happy to help!
Can you recommend a starter burner kit?
Oops! My reply didn't publish. I have 2 burners that I recommend depending on your needs. If you haven't tried it before and you're on a tight budget, get a cheap solid point with heat control: amzn.to/3rrfuAZ . It's harder to use but the easiest of the solid point burners. If you want something easier to use, faster at heating & cooling, I recommend a Colwood Detailer. www.bearwood.com/deluxe-kit-detailer.html . Use code SAVVY at checkout for a sweet 5% discount on your entire order over $20. Hope that helps!
thank you Janny Lisonbae
Happy to help!
Great video but I don't have the one that looks like the one you're using. Mine are the nibs. I use the same way I suppose?
Yep. Do the same with solid as you do with wire 🔥🙌
Do these same techniques get used with ANY wood burner and tip?
Yep. Different tips held at different angles will obviously get you different results, and some not very good results, but the same techniques apply pretty much across the board. 👍

@@BurnSavvy thank you so much!
You bet!
Hi! Getting ready to start burning but the first thing I noticed is the fact the cord doesn't swivel! Did I purchase a too "beginner " tool or is this something I have to get used to? I have a walnuthollow versa tool ..thanks!
I don’t know of any burners where the cord swivels, but the versatool should have a heat dial that swivels on the cord. That’s the beginner tool I typically recommend so you should be good. 🔥🙌
@BurnSavvy thanks for such a quick reply! Unfortunately mine does not have a swivel at the heat selector so the cord does not swivel at all. Maybe I got an older model.
Mmmm probably. Bummer
What type of tip are you using in this
Mini flow
I wish I could take a course but since I am disabled I don't have the money. Good video though.
Glad you likes the video!
@@BurnSavvy how do I get information on the course?
You can find info on all my courses right here:
www.burnsavvy.com/pyrography-courses.html
I keep confirming my subscription and I did not get another email to download the board examples. Please advise. Thank you
Have you tried checking your junk mail or spam folders? Sometimes it ends up in there. If you find it in there, move it to your inbox and save the email address that came from in your contacts list so it doesn’t end up there again. Sometimes it can take a couple hours for the email to show up also.
@@BurnSavvy yes, I've checked my spam folder and everything nothing is there. Thanks for your response
Weird! If you send a reply to the confirmation email, that’s should give me the email address you’re using and I can see what’s going on on the backend.
I finally got it. Thank you
Glad to hear it 👍
I have letters and numbers. I can’t "pull" them! .??
Try shorter strokes
