Let's create a new mount with Dendrobium kingianum
('Inferno' AM/AOS x 'Karl Marx' AM/AOS) that I brought with me on my last visit to Akerne Orchids in Belgium.

Thanks, love it too, there's a hole in the middle of this shell shaped dish. But the rocky thing is quite shallow anyway so no eccess water will stand on it.

Tried these twice, first one was already sick when I bought it and the second one died in the old (dark) grow room. haven't tried them since mostly because i can't find a decent sized specimen (usually very small divisions crammed into a small pot)

I know where to go if I want kingianum. I know what you mean about bad quality orchids. These are very hardy, as long as they can dry out well and quick between waterings. That 1 small flower fills up my living room with a floral, yet sweet, fragile fragrance during the day, since it opened. Love it!
