Enjoy our interview with Alexander Rybak.
Rybak won the 54th Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, Russia, with 387 points, singing "Fairytale", a song inspired by Norwegian folk music. The song was composed and written by Rybak and was performed together with the modern folk dance company Frikar.

Alexander is still great and Fairytale is still the best song in Eurovision..what's more I suppose that Fairytale will be the best for ever! Especially that's the way how I feel.
Because it has such a powerful story on how it was inspired

He doesn't know it and he doesn't search for it, but he's very successful, I mean, he won Eurovision in 2009 (with the best result ever), he worked with Dreamworks, actually he's working in a new album... Wow, one of the best men ever
And I think being part of something huge like Eurovision is more importat to win, because, yes the success is amazing, but the first time there (no matter the result) is unforgettable
Taking part in the contest is more important than winning, after all.
Verka serduckha (or however its spelled) Is a good example of this, Like, they just went in to have fun and joke around, hell did it pay off, they came second after serbia's lesbian power. (2007)

This... this is the type of energy we need for Eurovision. It's not all about winning, it's about representing your country. These days, I feel like the winners weren't chosen because of their music, they were based off looks. For example, the majority voted for Conchita because of the beard and Lordi probably won because of their "monster" appearance. I probably liked all the winner songs in the 21st century (with the exceptions of 2003 and 2002), good or bad, they at least represented their country

Long time no see, Alex! Nice to see he's still doing music. He sort of disappeared after Eurovision, so to hear from him again is a pleasure!
He didn't disappear... Since he won ESC he had released 4 albums and 10 singles, and still preform at concert all around Europe and some places in the USA. I wouldn't call that "disappearing" :)

conchita is a he he is married with his gorgeous husband tom neuwirth tried to be famous as tom but it wasnt catchy so he had to make the female persona Conchita and she was worth to to win...he is brilliant...he is also very handsome as a boy and im a little bit sad that he wasnt catchy as tom because he would be more true...tho im a man (gay)maybe this is why i think like that (open minded)cause men these days arent that open minded

That's right, it's a very clean city, is always renovated and they do a lot of concerts and live shows paied by the Italian Language Swiss Radio and Television (RSI), Lugano is the first city to have host the ESC it would be fantastic if they gonna host again...
