The reason they couldn't reprogram 16 was because he basically achieved sentience and became his own person. Killing Goku just became a part of who he is.
9:05 was a callback to when Tien whooped Cell when he was still in his Semi-Perfect Form. Cell really knows how to hold a grudge.
Something that I love is Cell being actually nice to Yamcha.
The Capsule Corp sticker haphazardly slapped over top of the Red Ribbon Army logo on 16s chest always cracks me up
“You know, when he puts it that way…” always gets me.
😅 You see.. the funny thing is.. he's not even lying
If these two episodes felt long to you, you should watch the twenty episodes between Cell declaring the Cell Games and the actual fighting starting.
To be fair, the actual interaction between Goku and Android 16 was only slightly less awkward than this. In the actual anime when Goku introduces himself, 16 glares at him and says something along the lines of, "I know who you are. I was programmed with the sole purpose of killing you."
Mr: satan: I AM THE HYPE
VEGETA: KILL HIM
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To be fair, Mr. Satan is tough as all get out for a regular person. The issue is he's hanging with beings that are indescribably more powerful than him lol
Because of how the different martial arts toournaments happened that Goku took part of, it makes sense that he would believe that anyone that won the title of champion should be around their level.
Goku had yamcha as his first thought because he was afraid he had hanged himself, and that was the reason why everyone was so glum.
About Mr. Satan being a big deal... he won the World Martial Arts Tournament, which used to be a huge deal. Back in Dragon Ball, the winners were people like Master Roshi, Tien, and Goku, and of course there were many other strong competitors. But then near the end of Dragon Ball, Goku fought Piccolo in the finals (he also fought Chi-Chi in the quarterfinals and they got married immediately following the tournament...), and their match ended up destroying the arena, so after Goku ended up being declared the winner, the tournament was cancelled. It didn't end up getting brought back until just before the Androids came around, and all the ki-using martial artists were busy training and missed it. So Mr. Satan won, and unlike the cast of this show, he actually embraces the fame that could come with such a thing and becomes a publically-known figure around the world.
9:09 Remember Tien stopping Cell by repeatedly blasting him with his Kikouhou and how angry Cell was about it? That's what they're referencing.
19:55 It's Tien's technique originally, but honestly, Piccolo is the one who uses it most often, so easy mistake to make. :P
I would suggest checking out at least part of the Buu arc via DBZ Kai before moving on to Super or any of the later movies, might miss some context otherwise. There's also some more TFS shorts about DBZ that are pretty great. Also, for a little context on the Chi-Chi reference this episode. She's actually very strong and was infatuated with Goku through childhood and later on when they were older she was his opponent during the World Martial Arts Tournament. It went pretty much how he described it after that, with her asking Goku to marry her. He thought it was food so he accepted.
Is that a crippling, existential fear of deep space I see?
Guys, we need to get her to play Elite Dangerous.
The best thing about Satan is he's both an over the top wrestler personality and apparently he did win a tournament while the gang were busy with the Androids. He's certainly above average for humans but I think he gets more benefits in the Buu arc (FourStar did not abridge it but did release some clips of gags they had in mind).
You should watch Dragon Ball Kai: The FInal Chapter after this! Jumping right into Super would only be MORE confusing. Especially since there are certain upcoming character you must meet first. Not to mention helluva character development some of our current heroes will go through.
It gets mentioned all the time, Krillin is roughly the same age as Goku, they were kids together in the original series but he just never grew up while Goku became an adult. It's kind of cute during the Freeza arc where he's hanging out with Gohan, but now Gohan's becoming more like a teen and it's just kind of funny he remains a dwarf/little man
"He's stronger than Krillin!" Implies that Goku thinks Krillin is really strong
Mr. Satan is the GOAT. What a shame they did him so dirty with the magnets.
"What do we do now!?" "Riot!?" "Yeah! Fk this city!" 😆
From the Original Dragonball, the notable episodes to watch would be the ones where Goku solos the entire Red Ribbon Army (as a kid), and where he defeats Demon King Piccolo (near the end of the series)
From Dragonball Z, there's just too much, but the notable ones are the end of the fight between Goku and Freeza, Trunks versus Goten, and the end of the Buu Saga.
TotallyNotMark did a recap of the Buu Saga with TFS (They did a thing about said Saga not too long ago called The Buu Bits)
If you're still looking to keep up with TeamFourStar, there's also the Dragon Shorts (the one where Chi Chi gives birth to Goten is HILARIOUS) and HFIL (Basically the aftermath of the series detailing Cell's life in Hell)
Soooooooooo... Yeah! You've got options.
The thing you should know as background info is the worlds martial artist tournament winners Garner a lot of respect and fame and goku won it in the original "dragonball" series as a child
Also the end scene idk if you remember because its been since the first 5 eps but those bug alien's planet was originally destroyed by Vegeta and nappa
While Goku did win once during the "dragonball" anime, it was after he grew up into a young adult.
He lost the tournaments he participated in as a child, the first to Master Roshi (in a disguise) and the second to Tenshinhan
Mr. Satan is the greatest fighter… I can’t even finish that one 😂❤❤
Believe it or not, Mr. Satan. AKA Hercule, becomes a very important character down the road. Not just for this saga.
You should react to Cell vs for TFS
She definitelly should have
5:08 The World Martial Arts Tournament was a pretty big deal in og Dragon Ball. Mr. Satan won the 24th while the main characters were busy with other plot stuff (21-23 were won by Jackie Chun, Tien, and Goku)
20:10 we've seen both Piccolo and Krillin use multiform in Abridged, but the move is originally Tien's
You should definitely find out what happens in the Buu saga of dragon ball z before starting dragon ball super. There will be a huge gap of context between the end of watching abridged and the beginning of super without doing that. As well as missing out on some important characters and their places in the world.
Remember Steph, at the end of episode 60 part 3 there are scenes after the credits. Then there's an epilogue with a deleted scene after the credits. Enjoy!😊
Magnets, how does that work?
Love the ICP reference. Whoop whoop
You should watch the Cell Vs. series that TFS put out with cell fighting other anime characters in the leadup to the games.
You have to watch the “Why Broly” movie and all the opponents coming to challenge cell before these episodes
I said this before, but I think you should watch *DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters* when you finish the DBZA content, as it pick up right after Cell was defeated. While 60+ episodes is a bit more than the 20 or so you were thinking, that number is also right in line with the Teamfourstar content that you already covered...So my guess it should roughly take at most twice the time it took you to consume all the DBZA content as Kai is full episodes....instead of fanmade parody series that just entertained you.
If you have trouble finding the "Final Chapters", they are also listed as just DBZ Kai, episode 99-167.
Why would people want to see DBS when there is OG and the Buu arc ?
You probably shouldn't jump into Super without watching Buu Saga in some form. DBZA has Buu Bits now which you should watch but doesn't give you the full picture. DBZ Kai Buu Saga is about 70 episodes. Also if you want to save time you should watch Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F instead of the first 2 arcs of Super.
You should react to dragonball Kai the final chapters which covers the final saga of Z. It takes place directly after where abridged ends in the actual series. It’s only like 60 something episodes total and is what a lot of reactors have done following abridged. The channel definitely not definitive is an example of this.
Yeah, if the build-up in these two episodes was agitating you, then the original DBZ edit would drive you literally nuts. Powerups and energy beam struggles took up a *lot* of runtime back in the day.
Should've watched all the "Cell vs" videos TFS did before watching these two episodes.
I love the beef cell has with tien
Just a heads up episode 60 has 3 parts (I don’t think they’re that long though so you could watch em together)
Don't forget the epilogue.
before you jump into super, you're gonna need to be familiar with the Buu saga- which is right after the Cell saga. so the select 20 episodes of DBZ you're gonna watch should be from the Buu saga of Dragon Ball Kai (which is the Dragon Ball Z without the fillers).
As for original episodes you should react to, an essential one is episode 280. It's my favorite episode to see people react to because of how significant it is to a certain character's development.
Today’s fightin’ day!!! 💥
If you're going to do limited episodes of the Buu saga, I gotta say you have to watch Final Atonement. Not sure what handful of episodes leading up to it to make sure you know the plot and stakes, but that one is mandatory.
22:41
Without Instant Transmission, that'd be a dead Goku
You should at least watch the first 12 episodes of DragonBall, they're very funny episodes.
You see how Goku meets some of his friends and how they gather the dragon balls and make their first wish.
Honestly you should just react to og DB or the Buu saga since you have everything you need from this part of Z with DBZA but still your channel so you can do whateves
Back in the day i used to hate Mr. Satan too, but.. you see he is an idiot but not dumb and has a heart of gold..
I would advise against jumping directly to Super. There's a whole Saga/season DBZA didn't cover, and Characters from that saga show up in Super. The cut-down Dragon Ball Z Kai, which is closer to the original manga, is on Hulu in the US.
1. I'm not opposed at all to you watching certain episodes, I think what would be a good idea for you would be to watch at least the tournament arcs of the original Dragon Ball series. In DBZ, you more or less have seen what was on offer in DBZA. DBZ is still really good, but it has really bad pacing -- and arguably the arc TFS skipped out on, was one of the weaker ones. It's still good, but I think it drastically overcomplicates things.
2. I actually think you should try more abridged series. My vote is for Yu-Gi-Oh abridged, and Sword Art Online abridged. Yu-Gi-Oh abridged is really good, but it's also a series that was started very much in the infancy of CZcams, so parts of it do feel particularly dated, but it really gets so fun. And SAO abridged, is just a treat from start to end. It's also just a lot shorter than either abridged series, but SAO and YGOTAS (Yu-Gi-Oh abridged) are generally considered the cream of the crop of abridged series.
5:03 nothing really but his daughter is important 😂😂
The multi form is Tien's technique
Believe it or not, Hercule (Mr Satan) is arguably the 2nd most powerful pure human (although it's debatable on who's stronger between him and Yajurobe), that doesn't use Ki, in the world; behind Videl before she learned how to use Ki to fly. Humans that are stronger than him, that use Ki, include: Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Baba (arguably), and Chaotzu.
Considering how hard Yajirobe bodied Cymbal, I'm pretty sure he's stronger (he also trained with Kami when the Saiyans were coming).
I'm curious how Mr. Satan compares to Chi-chi and Ox King, as well as like that Mummy dude from Baba's
@@CarbonMage Yeah and he also survived a knockout from a broken and completely pissed off Vegeta. When yajirobe was upside down after cutting Vegeta's tail off, and Vegeta was wailing on him, it wasn't like he was playfully hitting him. Each punch should felt like Cells backhand to Krillin after he transformed, essentially snapping his neck.
Big boy has always been the most durable (aside from maybe Fat Buu), out of all the good guys. They made that clear back in dragon ball.
Please don't foret the Special "Plan to eradicate christmas" from TFS this one is really good and wholesome ^^
React to the Buu Bits after the Cell games
Like someone else mentioned, there's still more DBZ to go through and that's the Final Chapters, as in the Buu Saga. Do that first, THEN do Super because you will be confused about a few Characters if you just do Super.
Like the purple cat dude? 😭😂
@@steph.reacts No, he does make his first appearance in the Movie version of the first Super Saga, which we'll get to when we get to it, but there are Characters in the Final Chapters that will appear in Super. So it's best to watch the Final Chapters first before going into Super.
She can do ki because it's cut down to 160 episodes
Well..Mr. Satan's Powerlevel is actually like 50+ so.. for a normal human, not that bad..and he has the fans to his side, never underastemate that kind of power.
Don't do super yet at least watch most of the buu saga because you know what happens up to the end of cell, then it's the buu saga. Vegeta has probably his most important moment in that saga
Put some respect on Mr Satan's name
Still have more to finish in DBZA, epilogue, plan to the eradicate the sayins, DBZA Kai and Buu bits
Probably should watch the Broly movie
19:56
Krillin, Tien, Piccolo can all use it
Hercule is a pretty important character in DBZ. Sure he seems annoying right now but don't disrespect my World Champ like that lol. Also you should watch the Broly movie before you watch the finale.
Dude, check out Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. It’s made by the same people. It’s amazing, much darker though
If you’re looking for other things to react to, might I suggest other abridged series like Sword Art Online Abridged by Something Witty Entertainment or Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works Abridged by Project Mouthwash
You should react to original Dragon Ball (not Z). When Goku was a kid and he went on a journey with Bulma to gather the Dragon Balls, meeting all the cast along the way. It's cute, wholesome, intense, but funny, too.
You should atleast watch og dragon ball. It is really funny
Wow, what a choice. Have fun with super.
HERCULE RULES! (Mr. Satan's English dub name...for obvious reasons.)
For once DBZA is done, there's the rest of the TFS stuff with the shortz and HFIL, FF7 abridged and Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.
That said: Going from DBZA to Super is actually a decent idea. The voice director for the english dub of super is Chris Sabat (vegeta/piccolo) and he's a fan of TFS. Some of the TFS humour bleeds into the english Super dub.
Skipping Buu and going straight to Super seems like a bad idea to me. The Buu saga introduces A LOT of new characters and lore, not to mention that’s where 80% of Vegeta’s character development is.
Love you Steph
The views are racking up 📈📈
Don't forget to watch the Broly movie abridged before 60+
React to the Abridged Broly movie !
Broly latin bubbing
idea for you since you reacted to Saiyan Saga Namek Saga and Android / cell Saga in The Abridged Series why don't you just react to the Buu saga
Goku vs call 🎉
We forgot broly
I love the way you think dear but.. what wasn't said or done on-screen in the world of dragonball never happened... and logic has no place in this world.
It has to be said that something like flying is completely normal for the main characters, but not for the rest of the world, and the existence of the Dragonballs is a legend at best.
But Mr. Satan is a true hero...he will prove his worth.
You should react to Namek saga
Not reacting to the original or kai is wise. There are a couple worth seeing.
Kai s2ep29 is my nomination. Can someone confirm that ish for me?
If you go to the dragon ball super directly, that means you are skipping the BUU arc
Hmm full series of original dragonball would be cool, but if it’s only a handful of episodes I think I’d pass. Doesn’t feel worth it.
Rather, how about more teamfour star stuff, like “dragon shorts” and HIFL
As far as dragon ball, It's way too long and a copyright minefield, maybe a few episodes would be fine, but even TeamFourStar has had their channel taken down multiple times because they used footage of the og show, mind you, they have over 60 episodes and movies/specials of it, so that's a different situation, but still, can't be too careful
Cell doblaje latino
just react to the buu saga it's the aftermath after cell that one comes before super
Definitely just react to super all the original episodes of z are wayy too dragged out and you already watched abridged. Maybe a couple highlights from the Majin buu saga for context but that's all you need 😉
just do dbz kai- its way shorter
Why Steph and not Stef
cuz she didn't name herself?
SPOILER ALERT
GOHAN
Ngl, i skipped trough that episode.
go react OG DB 😢
I wish cell would have finished that mofo I died when she said that
You really shouldn't bother with Super. It's not as bad as GT, but it's pretty garbage. There are much better things you could be doing with your life and much better anime series you could be watching (also, Super will get copyright blocked like crazy).
