Your LC is a capable 4x4 with alot of weight. One of the main and important things as an overlander is to know the limitations of your 4x4. Its a common thing that I see with overlanders. They dont know their 4x4 to the limits. Only way to get that knowledge is to go and drive trails like this. All over South Africa.
100% agree, I don't do things that I consider debatable, if it has the potential to cause damage or something more serious and it's not necessary to do it then why do it right?
@@MyLifeinAfrica I have the same philosophy with my fortuner. But the things I have done it is pretty amazing. Its not about breaking and destruction of vehicles but getting the sweet spot when you really need it a remote place.
yeah agreed, I've done plenty in the donkey that goes beyond that climb, this time however I saw no need to push it or try it at all. Been there done that and have the t-shirts, I'll happily have driven it if there was no other choice, in this case there was 😎

Come on my man. Dont hate on the Mitsubishi's. Bet he did not use a 1/4 of the fuel or cost a 1/4 of the price to buy. And will allmost bet he could drive just as far if not further then the cruiser. Colts are one of the best budget ovelanders in my oppinion. Ps it rides smoother and nicer. Keep up the videos will do a trip soon. #flexadventures #VanVenturesSA
hahahahaha hey Ockert, I was only kidding about Steve's car, but I can tell you you're wrong, his car is a heavy a mine if not heavier... there is nothing standard about that beast at all, it's actually amazing to be honest! Knocking the comfort of mine, hmmmmm nope mines definitely a better ride than the colt for sure! Thanks for the comment and support on the videos... Looked like a lot of challenging fuunnn ... How much weight does the donkey carry on the back axle ? How did the Terrain Tamer Parabolics handle the load ?
So we are running the 700kg constants on the Donkey, they handle like a dream no matter what we throw at them. Donkey is a heavy guy, i will have to have him weighed again to give you the specifics, but he is a little over GVM when full loaded which is 3200kg.

Sadly not, we all arrived pretty late on the first day and had to move to the bundu trail in the morning, but there will always be a next time.
