Thomas W saving loads of clips of him speeding into hazards, wonderful.
Reckon the W stands for Wat and he usually just goes by T rather than Thomas.
@@cyclingchainsawchap9822or Wit if you're feeling posh
So the fact that the other cars lane discipline is a disgrace doesn’t mean anything? You guys are a joke. Backing the bad drivers
Think Thomas W needs to retake a test!
I used to live near where his final clip was filmed (Felixstowe Road in Ipswich). To be fair that road is notorious for a-hole parking, people blocking up the traffic, other people racing through gaps that don't qutie exist etc. And the visibility when pulling away from the kerb was generally crap anyway, never mind the very low sun in his clip.
He should have taken more care for the hazards along there. I always did.
On the last video, how on earth did the van driver not see that or even anticipate that? It’s frightening how many idiots are on the roads 😭
Probably on the phone
Maybe... only maybe, he was like the wagon driver who pulled onto the roundabout while on the phone.
Same goes for the first clip.
Probably the first clip I've seen where the X6 driver wasn't being a cock.
Given how fast the car that hit him appeared to be going the van driver either misjudged how fast it was approaching or it wasn't visible when he started crossing.
4:57 Ray W was very smart to maintain his low speed after seeing one deer cross in front of him - there will almost always be more as they move in their herd. This happened to me at 1.30am on the A31 near Ropley - five deer came out of the woods to my right and ran in a line up the middle of the road before veering across in front of me to jump into the woods on the left. I was able to reduce my speed quickly so that the youngster, bringing up the rear, ran past me and followed the others in front to safety - scary and beautiful all at once. 😍
If you see one, watch out for the rest coming they are social animals and you will rarely find one alone.
Yep. I was thinking, 'Where's the others?' as only one appeared at first. Ah, there they are. Deer are mental, there's loads of dead 'uns on the sides of the road round here. They don't half make a mess of what hits them though.
Why are deer so stupid? Why don't the stop and look if it's safe to cross the road? Some other animals can manage it
@@PedroConejo1939 I was driving in Cannock Chase earlier today, which is home to loads of deer and therefore loads of accidents. When I was a kid, my Nan - who had recently emigrated back to England from Australia, and had imported her cherished Datsun on a ship only weeks before - was driving there when a massive stag ran in front of her giving her no time to stop. It went through the windscreen and crushed the roof, pinning my Nan in her seat until the emergency services arrived. Her lovely car was destroyed, but she hated driving after that experience anyway and gave up not long afterwards :(
@@iamjoestafford Yep, deer or bigger can be lethal if you hit them. I'm glad she got out OK if shaken.
Thomas W’s premiums must be through the roof from all the cars and lorries he’s driven into.
Fuck, yeah!
to be fair that lorry came out of nowhere
@@kilvertm No. Thomas W completely fails to read ALL road situations. Instead, they aggressively attack others.

Hats off to Bristol Daz, went for the brake instead of the horn and avoided a potentially very nasty accident only suffering a little bump instead. No drama with this person, great driver... 👏
Poor entry from the other driver
Looked like that person was trying to get hurt by someone and they got V lucky if it was a HGV coming from either direction well...
I wanna know what brakes he got lol
What the hell was that driver thinking ? 😳
👏👏
Shout out to the trucker at 1:20 who seemed not only aware of the trouble the cam car was getting into and got himself well out of the way.
seems like a strange cone layout, changing from a gradual angle across lanes to a sudden stop
@@moosevision8113 It was horrific cone placement and completely against the reg's for layout on a motorway.
I've never seen such a dangerous road closure in my life!
Lane 1 was closed off before and after the junction, so the slip led directly into lane 1, which doubled as the temporary slip lead-in. The sudden end wasn't a lane closure, but was the point this slip ended. But yeah, could have been better marked!
@@blower1 If it is completely against regulations then they have been breaking regulations for many years.
It looks like the normal layout when they close the lead onto a live lane “smart” motorway and the cone layout becomes the new temporary slip road.
I see it all the time on the M1 when they set up roadworks
4:39 Andrew S complaining about people changing lanes, then changes lanes himself due to impatience and cuts someone else up.
_Andrew S_ went from L1 to L2, the car to his right went from L2 to L2. Andrew S: thank you for this _mea culpa_ clip.
Not changing lanes getting in the right lanes beforehand and how do you know he cut someone up! people are allowed to change lanes to keep moving. Are you the idiot blocking the roundabout cos you don't understand roads signs and road markings
hahaha couldn't make it up.
The horn was from Andrew, not a car he may have cut up
@@frogandspanner That makes no sense, I think you have got your lane numbers mixed up.
5:08 Shout out to Ray W, well done. Staying slow after the first deer because usually there is never just one.
My wife's cousin who lives in Philadelphia had a deer come through his windscreen last year. He got out unscathed but the car was written off . The deer ended up in the back of the car and broke the side windows front seat and trim.
It’s also the new forest, so will probably be followed by a horse, donkey and maybe a pig 😂
@@follyfour506 He was lucky, I have heard stories of a person getting kicked to death by a deer that ended up inside their vehicle.
Thomas W, you would have a life of significantly less stress if you stop trying to overtake on roundabouts, or squeezing through tight gaps trying to get ahead of overtaking lorries. Hang back, relax, and know your journey will only take a few seconds longer but you and everyone around you will be all the safer for it.
Hello
He cant do that he has a dash cam and needs the footage of him being a knob jockey
Not just any dashcam, a road angel dashcam.
Dude needs to go on a defensive driving course
Yeah he does enter hazards at speed however that doesn’t excuse poor lane discipline from the other drivers on the roundabout
Thomas W accelerates in to a lorry and then actually submits the clip. Round of applause
👏
Why would he change the zoom of the clip, effectively masking the speed differential? Weird clip that.
@@PedroConejo1939 Indeed. I was trying to count the lines and difficult to tell but I think he is speeding up as the car is still manoeuvring between the lorries. I could be wrong as the zoom makes it difficult to tell.

4:41 ‘Why can’t anyone get in the right lane?’ 10 seconds later he’s ducking aggressively in and out of lanes.. Absolute minge
Don't blame him. Bristol roundabouts attract the worst drivers. Doesn't help that their layouts aren't intuitive either

5:20 Big Dog’s mrs sounds like such a calm, gentle woman, great advice from her
I am not sure it is the driver (herself) who is commenting on other car, or it is wife complaining that husband is driving defensively in this situation. If latter, then I would stop and politely offer her to get out and walk if she thinks my driving is not up-to scratch.
@@lp9280 she was giving him calm advice on how to avoid having an accident, she wasn’t telling him how to drive, big difference
@@iHackWaWx that is bad way of giving advise and very bad moment
When you giving somebody the advise who can drive better than you in such condescending tone... that is always going to end badly.
Sometimes it is better to know when to keep quiet and she clearly has not learned her lesson.
Now again... as I said it may have been the driver herself commenting about other driver and not actually wife berating husband... so my comment is conditional of the lady actually being wife...

At what point do these dashcam driver submissions become penalised for intentionally being confrontational just for their name in the spotlight.
there's a solid 4-5 seconds where you can see the lorry veering to the right as well, it beggars belief especially with other people in the car that he was a) either seriously not looking at the road for 4 seconds or b) WAS looking at the lorry moving and didn't react?
My fear is that he didn't even recognise the danger ahead...
Just commented similar, no situational awareness on most of the clips from Thomas
@@yeezypete4853 Throughout the whole video he has about 3 Dashcam clips... He is just an overly dramatic driver who makes a meal out of the smallest things for attention, he definitely can see the danger ahead but rather than think about his health and safety he's thinking about UK Dash Cameras...
Lots of sun glare which would look different to the drivers eyes rather than the dashcam. However if you can’t see from the sun you should drive more carefully.
0:55 is this guy singing the lyrics to HELP - beetles 😂😂
Exactly why you should slow down at country lane crossroad junctions.
it would be better if these drivers that pull across were banned
The fact that he didn’t slow down anticipating the Q5 may have its vision obscured by the road works point to poor spacial awareness skill from both drivers.

I’m just here for “Please help me” Pete, throws caution to the wind, didn’t even let off for a second to survey the junction. Not in the wrong, but didn’t help himself did he.
What's in the wrong mean though? They both equally caused the collision with their own actions. You can see the car waiting on approach even with the roadworks obscuring the view. He could have slowed down just in case.
Clearly distracted by his hands free mobile phone conversation… very easy hazard to see
I always wonder about comments like this - when you're driving along a national speed limit road like the one in the clip, do you seriously slow down at every junction just in case someone decides to pull out without looking? That seems quite dangerous in itself for vehicles behind you.
@@chrism9868 This is why they put SLOW on the approach to junctions where a lesser road intersects with a main road. If somebody stupidly pulls out and you haven't slowed down, police, courts and insurance are gonna take a dim view of it.
@@chrism9868 yeah, for safety's sake you should probably go round and paint out the word 'SLOW' that somebody thoughtlessly left there.

Thomas W's reaction times are even slower than mine!!!
After I've had 5 drinks
My reaction times are impeccable because I drunk dink!
Thomas W - if you have this many ‘incidents’ have you wondered that your lack of hazard perception plays a huge role in near misses?
So pleased to see other people shredding the first clip and "please help me" 😂😂
I thought he was going for a Derek Bieri style comment:
"Help me understand, Lord! Well for cryin' in the mud!" 😂
That first accident…. Ouch and I feel for the couple in the car on the road. The person pulling out who wasn’t even looking doesn’t deserve a license
The view of the car pulling out was obviously obscured by the road works signs. I have had a near accident with someone pulling out in exactly the same circumstances. If the cammer had been a little more aware, he would have seen that that view was obscured and could have slowed down a little or given a warning beep.
Yeah that was nasty. *But* in the spirit of learning from mistakes -- 50 is pretty fast to be approaching a busy junction with multiple emerging cars to watch and a blocked view. Sounded like they slowed a bit, but might have only been watching the car on the left.
If you slow down, you have more time to observe and react to the stupid things other drivers are doing :D. BristolDaz shows it wouldn't even have needed to be much less speed, since they (nearly) managed to stop from 50 with only a bit more warning.
It also says "SLOW", not sure 50 is slow...
People perceive it is safe to go from others going.
Pretty poor hazard perception by the cammer though:
Junction ahead with cars waiting at it
Road works obscuring the view
Long dashed-lines to indicate danger
The word SLOW in the road
And even rumble strips across the road!
So yeah, just carry on at 50.
I don't think I'll sleep tonight after the excitement of James R's clip.
Nice one there there Ray W , slowing down nicely as where there’s one deer there is usually more of them .
The first clip. Well done matey for not taking note of the SLOW marking, for not taking in to consideration the hazard and especially well done for dropping your speed from 50mph to 48mph
My thoughts exactly.
Lol easy to say after the fact.
@@rowan6207 No, it was evident from the beginning of the clip that the cammer was traveling too fast for the conditions!
Waaaay too fast for the dry fantastic road and the clear blue sky.
I’d love to know what speed you would have been doing, honestly.
He was going slower than 48mph, speedo is clearly lagging since he thinks the car is going 40mph after it's already stopped. Still going too fast though, and terrible driving from the other vehicle pulling out as well.
7:37 Thomas W could have easily avoided that!
I mean what does he expect the parked car to do? He edged out slowly because he can't see behind the van and stopped when he saw oncoming cars.
He could have avoided at least two more of his submissions.
I can't decide whether he's being intentionally confrontational or just oblivious to any danger
That many incidents brings to mind the old adage: If you meet one arsehole in a day, you met an arsehole; if you keep meeting arseholes all day, you're the arsehole. And yes, I know they're not all on the same day. But seriously, if you've seen people cutting roundabouts, just don't get near them. Problem solved.

These videos do make a strong case for autonomous vehicles. They might make mistakes but at least they don't have egos.
5:13, appreciate that I don't know the roundabout and clip doesn't start soon enough to show any approach signage so I could be wrong, but that looks entirely on the cammer to me in terms of roundabout positioning.
Ye my thoughts too. 2 lanes entering, 1 lane exit, suggests lane 2 on entry is to turn right.
@@markgambrill Exactly. Unless the left approach lane is 1st exit only (which the three vehicles in it going straight on suggests isn’t correct) then he must be in the wrong. Makes me wonder if the “driving like a looney” comment is actually because he was trying to overtake the Rangey on the roundabout following some earlier confrontation.
Pete the Piano man certainly not slowing down per the road paint
You can hear Andrew S cut someone up as he avoided the yellow hatched area on the roundabout...
He undertook the 2 cars after he complains about wrong lane driver, what a dick
Think that was his horn.
Needs to remember that sometimes people navigate areas they’ve never been before, so aren’t sure of road positions. But at the same time, yeah, it is annoying g 😂
Yeh, was his horn - he was in correct lane throughout the whole video. A376 freom Exeter to Exmouth roundabout is a nightmare because people don't look at the signs or road markings.
@@still976
Definitely not his horn. It gets quieter as he moves along. He very likely cut someone up.
I have to say that those Road Angel dashcams seem to be quite terrible, I mean they litterally say that they run hot, that they have no screen and the "always on" feature is available on most other brands. Plus the clip at 5:52 is not a great one to show how great the video quality is x)
The advert does say that to get the heated element it has to be hard wired so fair chance it doesn't in normal use
I'll help you Pete. Next time something like that happens try hitting the brakes instead of the horn.
Can't help but feel he probably should have slowed down from 50mph seeing it was a potential hazard with the single lane at the junction.
And the road marking telling him to slow down
My thoughts exactly.
That Sowton roundabout at Exeter is an utter nightmare
Agreed. Sainsbury's crossroads in the clip before it is normally not an issue though!
Agree 100%, I hate that roundabout with a passion
It's Sandygate. Nightmare at the best of times
The east side of that roundabout is an utter mess. The Yellow boxes that nobody pays attention to, the traffic lights that change too close together, the speed some people fling themselves around it and the constant hesitation of poor drivers. Does my head in.
Yup, I live near there and even if you know it it can be a pain in the ass
I don't even know what my cars horn sounds like. These people seem to have a close relationship with theirs.
Me neither. Maybe it doesn't work at all😅
Often reaction time is measured with a stop watch but for Thomas W the doctor had to use a sun dial as it was usually 3-4 hours after the hazards occurred that he finally reacted.
Well I have a fair idea of Thomas W’s second name shame he didn’t use his anchors! 😂😂
Big dog @5:15 using the right lane to go straight across at that roundabout tut tut.
Would never condone a brake check, but he was asking for it
But not prohibited in the Highway Code
Right hand lane to go straight that is. Not the brake checking which is illegal.
@@ditch3827 Left lane for for left and straight across unless road markings dictate otherwise.
@@ditch3827 Rule 185: Not written but a nice picture of how to use a roundabout
The only exception would be if lane markings dictated otherwise which they don’t appear to in this video or, as there are two lanes on approach, if there were two lanes on the exit which there isn’t in this case.
From the evidence provided in the clip the cammer vehicle used the roundabout incorrectly
Not condoning the actions of the other vehicle, could have easily backed off rather than be stubborn and definitely not brake checked…but what actions did the cammer take to aggravate the other vehicle? “Thats just going to stress you darling, don’t drive like a looney” says to me something happened prior or during that incident to provoke more than it should have.
I would like to add my last sentence is speculation and I apologise to the cammer if that is incorrect
7:42 is Thomas W speeding and on a phone call? Good to see cammers actually trying to avoid an incident as soon as possible and not letting it progress
I make it 67MPH counting hazard lines so probably not speeding but distracted by hands-free phone probably.
These are the ones who discover the real meaning of 'increased premiums'.
A very good Sunday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
adam and Chris 50mph is a maximum speed limit. The guy is teaching new riders, you had plenty of time to make adjustments for him sitting out in that lane to protect them. Try thinking.
Pete the piano man charged into that one with his I've Got Priority hat firmly on.
Maybe Austris needs to ask himself what would have happened if there had been a loose horse in the road under the bridge.
as for Gregory H steaming round a single track lane and beeping at the pickup also steaming round the country lane....
But my personal favourite bellend of the week has to go to Robyn B, making a drama out of nothing that a little deceleration wouldn't have solved.
Clip 1 straight away... hazard perception 101, presumably those are road closed signs facing away, the car at the junction wouldn't expect a car to be coming down a 'closed' road, at speed. Their visibility was also impaired by the signs.
Cammer isn't at fault of course, but that was easily avoidable if the cammer had proper situational awareness. You need to 'see what they see' basically and adjust yourself to make sure you are seen.
Same guy probably sits in peoples blind spots as well.
Agree. People aren't going to give way to you if they don't see (or appropriately anticipate) you.
That clip by Liam S where the vehicle reverses into the one behind it... maybe it's just me, but something tells me the car behind didn't exactly have the mindset of "Oh no, I better reverse as well", it was more of a "I'm going to sit here, and watch it reverse into me".
Who the hell let Thomas W get his license
A half a sleep sloth has faster reactions
8:58 You must give way to traffic that is already within the junction. You may then proceed at the green light if it is safe to do so. It seems that _Edward G_ seems to think that the green right gave him an inalienable right to proceed, which is incorrect.
You’re also not meant to enter a junction unless your exit is clear. Which it obviously wasn’t for the white toyota. Both of them are idiots.
Correct. In law the green light doesn't actually mean anything other than the prohibition of crossing the stop line no longer applies. It does not mean GO or that you have priority.
It would appear the Aygo either got themselves into a weird position or changed their minds on where to go, but either way the cammer should have helped fix the problem.
4:14 tbf if that’s the Exeter services roundabout then that is a terrible roundabout, it’s like whacky races
It's such an easy roundabout to navigate, people just don't pay attention to the signs or markings though.
1:38 Expertly demonstrating a lack of forethought. It was clear the other car was going straight over. "But I got right of way!"
Andrew S I feel you! That roundabout is a pain I. The arse when people don’t get in the right lane

06:34 I hope you submitted that to the police, oh, wait...
JEEZUS
0:54 They gave you bumpy lines in the road and a giant SLOW sign on the floor, and despite the clearly visible obstruction to anyone pulling out of that junction... you chose not to slow down. A bold move.
He’s doing 48, its probably a 60 road. Some sources advise dropping your speed by 10mph when you see slow - seems he already did that. Slow doesn’t actually mean you have to always drop your speed. Some argue it would serve better if it said caution, but letters would be too small I guess. Seems like there was around 1 sec between the car pulling out and the impact. Reaction time is around 3/4sec. Probably would have hit him no matter what he did, unless you are suggesting he drives at 20 on a 60 road? I thought at first the signs in the road must have obstructed the view of the guy pulling out, but watching it back a second time they should have been able to see him coming. Totally the fault of the person that pulled out IMO

Andrew S hasn’t the right temperament to be behind the wheel. Not everyone knows an area like you do. Junctions can be confusing enough, without you sitting on your horn and working up a sweat. Calm down dear, and an extra second on your journey is neither where nor there. Or do us all a favour and take the bus!
6:05 ayy NFS Underground 2 vibes right there 👌
Andrew S, Sandy Gate roundabout absolute nightmare nobody has a clue on that roundabout
4:58, oh deer
Thomas W for COTW
7:37, 7:55 and 8:20 Thomas W Is this how you were taught to drive? Accelerate towards an obvious hazard and use your horn as some kind of defence shield? It won't save you if you don't learn to recognise other drivers doing the wrong thing and steer clear of them - literally. Please replace the word "horn" in your brain with the word "brake" - it might save your life one day.
4:55 Fenton hasn’t been caught yet 🤣
You know you’re in for one hell of a ride with Thomas W
A lorry just pulled in front of me….. no Tommy you went into the back of it!
Exactly. Total numbskull.
5:31, that's not the UK now is it!
It's not is it, nice spot
Republic of Ireland - definitely not the UK!
The first clip is a clear demonstration of how a lack of hazard perception contributes to accidents, I also think that having a conversation on a particular topic whilst driving is a distraction and lowers the concentration on the actual driving, the positioning of the cones and road signs would certainly have an adverse effect on the view of the emerging driver and if it was a road closure sign it may have led them to presume there would be no traffic at all from that direction.
Awesome video
Why do so many people when an obvious conflict is appearing in front of their eyes instinctively reach for the horn instead of the brake pedal? (or even just lift off the throttle).
To provide you with your Sunday teatime entertainment.
It's almost as bad as people who leave out commas in sentences.
There's definitely a direct connection between dashcam users and some of the worse drivers on the road.
Thanks
Chris' clip at 8:06 doesn't belong anywhere near this channel. I mean he slowed down, didn't beep his horn, and let the moment pass and got on with the rest of his day.
Just because it wasn’t as dramatic as you would have liked, the title states “Bad Drivers” and I’d most definitely consider that bad driving.
@@Anna-ng6sr Sarcasm lost on you. It was a response at the rest of the idiot cammers beeping their horn and rushing into problems, and praise of his handling of the situation.
4:30 Andrew s you got smoked off the lights and didn’t like it 😂
What's the point of that clip. Both cars go through amber light.
Lesson of the day.
Don't go spanking your motor when the sun is in your eyes
Lol I read that as "don't go spanking your mother" and had to double take
or wear sunglasses
Andrew S - Know these roads all too well, especially that last one where people don’t indicate or look on that roundabout, I feel your pain!
You know, for some reason, I fancy getting my kitchen made over.
