    I don't understand this. Most players seem to clap their hands and even point to the sky after they cross the plate

  • @becb5135

    It's sad that a guy can't celebrate his home run at home plate briefly before walking back to the dugout. If he wants to clap his hands fine home runs, claps, high fives and whatever are a part of baseball.

  • @lethrneck4
    @lethrneck4 Před 9 lety +26

    ironic the sox got mad at this when big papi has done it after 100s of home runs, along with watching them for 10 seconds before starting his stuck in mollases 5 minute trot...

    • @jraymond1988
      @jraymond1988 Před 9 lety +1

      lethrneck4 In his defense, Ortiz's molasses trot isn't much slower than his normal speed.

      @Minned Před 7 lety +3

      lethrneck4 You sir are a saint! The whole Red Sox community is filled with hypocrites. It's ok for David to celebrate but not Cervelli. It's ok that David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez CHEATED by taking steroids while AROD is the devil for doing the same thing. I just don't understand those moronic cocksuckers!

    Cervelli was young I believe only 25 come on let him do him, other teams haven't learned out how energetic he is. Its just how he is and a lot of people love that about him, the energy in him is amazing! When everyone is down he's up for a comeback. Its not like he clapped in the catchers face while saying you suck it was just him being young Cervelli. Lol best back up catcher a team can have when he was on the Yankees and hope the best for him now he's on the pirates. But I hope he comes back to the Yankees.

  • @samsever69
    @samsever69 Před 10 lety +11

    Cervilli did nothing wrong. if he want to clap his hand.he sure dam could. he never directed at anyone. players can celebrate their own feats without getting harassed about it later.

  • @43labontepetty

    come on now how is what he did on that home run bad. He didn't stare salty down and he didn't stand there for a while on the plate while he did it. He was on his way back to the dugout when he did it.

      @jraymond1988 Před 9 lety

      SlimShady9000Mac Yankees suck chants are just a way of life at that point, rather than specific commentary on how the Red Sox or Yankees are actually doing. They are at games the Yankees games where the Red Sox or Yankees aren't even playing. I've heard it at Celtics games or college games.

    I don't get this in the major leagues, how celebrating is so bad. How celebrating an achievement is so bad. Derek Jeter always claps if he gets a hit or scores, nothing happens, that's because no one gives a shit if a living legend stands you up, but if a who knows this guys name claps, he gets plunked. I have never seen retaliation for a pitcher after he fist pumps after getting out of a jam, pitchers in general need to stop throwing at hitters over celebrations.
