I have the larger one 2.5 l for 3 years now and use it while hiking and travelling. . I like the way you put a pen on one side and a victorinox on the other. Great hack. Arc’teryx never mentions this possibility. Excellent idea.
I am debating on getting the larger one but I feel that I will just fill it out with things I don't actually need in my EDC. I am terrible for that, I have to force myself to use smaller bags so that I am not lugging around the kitchen sink lol. Still might get it haha. do you think a small 35mm point and shoot camera could fit into the main compartment? been looking for a small pack like this to have my camera close on hikes.
That's a tough one, it would depend on the camera but I would recommend the Mantis 2. For larger items that are a little awkward can need more space just to be comfortable. I think it would fit better in the larger size.

Which Mantis model are you referring to? There is a larger version of this waist pack and also some backpacks with the same name.
