I am glad I have the older one. The new version is sleek and looks really nice but the function is lacking.

@@justinmueller790 I still have v.1 as well, but it looks tired now, so I got v.2 and got disappointed. Gifted it to a friend and ordered Mantis 2 (the 2 litre version) in Stone Wash. Waiting for it to arrive now. But people complained about v.2 of Mantis 2 as well, let’s see.

I haven't noticed any issues. The revised version does have a thinner strap so that might dig into your clothes a little more.

No problem at all! Sizing can be frustrating when comparing bags between different brands. I would say the bellroy sling mini is in between the mantis 1 and mantis 2. You can probably fit more in the Mantis 2. Go with the Mantis 2, Bellroy has some other options that are newer and take advantage of having some new features/designs.

@@justinmueller790 pulled the trigger on the mantis 2. Liking it so far, the depth of the main pocket is useful and it's much more spacious than the sling mini

Not on myself sadly! I would say probably not for most people. Probably better options for that!

Awesome to hear! So I get what you are saying but the notebook is quite small and same with the sunglasses case. Not hard rigid forms but rather soft and malleable. I would argue that power banks can be cumbersome, but that falls apart once you see the plethora of options and sizes. I am interested to know if you ended up with any spaces issues! I really enjoy the design of the newer model but the thinner strap was a let down for me personally. Not a big deal though as they made it easier to remove or replace. Thank you for the reply!

@@justinmueller790Hey, I’ve been using the bag for a few days now and I must say I like the previous model better! I find that if I put anything in the front zippered pocket it kinda of renders the main compartment useless! And they should have not included that inner pocket/liner, that just gets in the way too! These were issues in my previous one, but they’re even worse now with this new version.

No problem at all! It was one of the first things I tried when I got it. Maybe messenger bags are better for cameras.

No problem! I don't think it would fit unfortunately. I was able to fit a fields notebook inside but nothing larger than that.

Both of these are the black colour ways. The old version is fader due to being used heavily. Lots of sun exposure!

Love it! I want to check out the Heliad but haven't seen it closely yet :( I think the thinner strap Arc'teryx went with on these is a little disappointing. It is easy to swap them out, I just wish that you had a better strap to begin with.

I love the materials of this blue version. The materials so vary depending on the colour you choose. I will say though that this blue does not feel the most durable. Definitely more of an urban bag. For outdoor activities I use an Arcteryx Mantis 1. Much more durable and better oriented towards the outdoors!

I think they will! The only thing I am not sure of is the power bank. I have one that is quite large and will not fit comfortably in this bag. I can fit a 10,000 mah power bank, ray ban sunglasses case, AirPods, and have extra room for more. The sling expands quite a bit but it is best to pack it when it is off body. Access can be tricky with the bag is on you. As you remove items it will naturally want to cinch down so you might have to fight it a little to get things back in.

@@justinmueller790 i currently have the tumi e-sport sling but looking at other options, this Bellroy bag seems to look very nice too. Modern wayfarer and some alpaca stuff also looks nice.

@@motorjack141 Ah I gotcha. I really enjoy the Bellroy slings, perhaps look at their newer options such as the Venture line of slings or the Lite line. I have only tried the Zip Pouch Pro and the Elements Backpack from Alpaka. They are very nice and I would highly recommend them. I cannot speak about the slings yet though!

It's a gem! So handy, I often put a fisher space pen or a thin multi tool in there.

That would be great! Love the idea of a movable key leash. The key leash placement in the front pocket was perfect and is really the only thing I would change of this new design. I don't think they will be revising this item for a bit so we will have to wait and see! Or look into doing it ourselves. I am currently using the Bellroy Sling Mini which also has a questionable key leash position. One day I will find a bag with the perfect key leash design!

I love the size of this one. The extra room will be nice in the winter for gloves or an extra layer. Lastly, it has a zipper whereas the 10 is a drawcord and a flap that clips over. Let me know what you end up getting!

The laptop is the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 14 inch. I believe your laptop should fit but I would check out their website, it might have a bit more information on that.

That's a tough one, it would depend on the camera but I would recommend the Mantis 2. For larger items that are a little awkward can need more space just to be comfortable. I think it would fit better in the larger size.

That is a good point! You can get bags that do similar functions but also have better back support. Check out Wandrd for a packable bag that comes with an inflated back panel.
