You shouldn’t have censored the account of the dude who scammed you. I would have probably tried to move earth and sky to take him down if the guy had scammed me for cash like that.
Fecho, from what I know, (And I don't know much so don't trust me completely on this) A youtube account can be banned for actively sending hate towards a person. Even if they're a horrible person.

The sad thing is, I once dated a girl who was this stupid/desperate. Then again, she dated me so that should have been a red flag right there. More details in the replies.
Story: She had an iPhone with Boost Mobile that she wanted to switch to my network (Metro by T-Mobile). Phones are locked to the network you brought it from until certain time conditions are met. This prevents someone from getting an iPhone 13 from Verizon and then bring it to Striaght Talk for a cheaper plan. However, she only had the phone for a few months so there was no way in hell Boost was going to unlock it so it could be used on a different network. So after a quick Google search, we found an "Universal SIM Unlock kit" being sold by some random website that only took payment by card only. No PayPal or credit card manager app like Apple Pay. I was ready to throw in the towel but she was dead set on trying to get the damn thing to get her previous iPhone to work again. So she spent $18 (plus international shipping) to get the SIM kit. Shockingly enough, the SIM kit did arrive eventually. But it didn't come with instructions, and neither of us knew what to do with it. Tried multiple CZcams videos to make the damn thing work, but it didn't. She said that she would have asked for a refund for me (since it was my money) but she didn't. I guess she figured since it didn't come out of *her* wallet, that there was no urgency to get a refund. 😑 That is my story sorry if it was long. Watching this brought up old memories of when I was gullible on the internet.

He was selling it for $250, and my sister went through with it and he started flipping out after the payment. Twitter is full of this shit. He was in the same state as us, in a not too far town, so we should have been more sketched out when he said he couldn't do the deal in person. Lesson of today: Twitter is not ebay

Good video, Al. Only problem I have is that the ad appears in the middle of the video, and I think that could inadvertently drive people to click off. Maybe in the future, save it for the end?
Anyone who says to send money through “friends and family” for PayPal. Is a potential scammer! NEVER SEND THROUGH FRIENDS AND FAMILY, UNLESS YOU KNOW THAT PERSON PERSONALLY!!! I tell all my buyers, purchase protection only!
Yeah. Its always a good reminder. Thanks Al! Great video as always! And thats why i have a hard time ever to buy something online. If one can get a thing physically thats the safest bet. But eh, what do i know.
I probably should have seen this before I took an offer from a Twitter user that scammed me out of $580 smackers. I'm in the process of demanding my money back now, but yeah, the fact that we both resorted to this just to buy a game console is a sign that right now, it just isn't worth it.

I legit had a similar situation like this with a scammer. I had a friend on steam(not anymore) whose account got hacked, and his hacked account told me that he did something "accidentally" to risk my entire steam account(meaning including the sum total of all my games, memory, etc.) deleted. He said that I need to contact a specific person(who he provided) to get this sorted out. Basically, he wanted me to use some sort of method of transferring payments to him via PayPal so he could then apparently fix this problem(this guy was posing as someone who worked with steam for this subject). What ended up happening is 2 things. I eventually fell for what was happening, and ended up giving away my steam information(aka how to log onto my steam account) as well as giving him a penny through paypal(an account I made just for this discussion)(And I gave it because I thought only a simple transfer was needed for this process), which he said wasn't enough and it had to be x amount, and at this point I finally felt weird about the situation so I asked my friends who were also friends with that person and they informed me that this was a scam. IMMEDIATELY I logged onto steam and changed my username and password. Luckily none of my debit card information is saved on that account. So basically, I ended up losing one penny to the entire exchange(so basically that guy wasted his entire time for one measly penny lmao. I honestly don't care about the penny.) . The fact that I fell for this in hindsight, even if I only lost a penny lowers my self esteem. Though I am glad that I am now aware of this type of scam so I can avoid it in the future.
