This is awesome. I’m having reduction and lift by another doctor but this was such helpful information-and the link to buy actual products was such a good find. Thank you for this valuable and comforting information! I’m only a few days post op for my breast reduction and my doctor didn’t tell me most of this for what to expect afterwards, as you can imagine once I saw them today, it discouraged me tremendously and I was pretty disappointed. To know that this is normal at this stage and that it looks worse before it looks better, I now feel that excitement again that I had prior to my surgery. This video was what I didn’t know I needed ☺️
Thank you Dr. Barrett, I am no where near your office(good old Tennessee) however this video was very informational and calmed my anxiety about a surgery I am fighting to receive. I really appreciate the honesty about the healing times and that some things will get worse before they get better. Im experiencing nipple issues post breast reduction.
Can you speak on nipple complications?
My (old school) PS didn't put me in bra post reduction and didn't secure nipples totally for "drainage" , left them covered for 2wks in original dressing and then coved with large bandaids upon removal there was pooling fluid n blood and I lost skin and tissue.
I've not seen many videos on nipple loss or complications.
How long does it take for the rippling down the T line takes to tighten up and heal?

U have lot Of pain swelling And my breast become hard only on one side hard and red the doctor said it looks like hemotoma and I should wait till it fades alone it’s looks scary and I can’t even put my hands down from pain what should I do ?

I has my breast reduction done on Tuesday and I'm in panic that they won't be small enough ... they are still very big - just lifted. I cry everyday 😢 They removed 700 ml on each breast
you are still very swollen so you will have to wait to see the final results.
Hey had my op 8 weeks ago. They took mote on one side than the other. I have different sizes at the moment. I'm still very swollen, definitely slow healing and listening to my body.

your breasts should stop growing before you decide to get breast reduction.
i recommend waiting till your 18. i know that sounds like forever but you definitely don’t want to get a reduction and then see your breast growing afterwards. i waited till i was 18 and i’m 3 days post op today. definitely worth the wait:)

After breast reduction, I had no Sensation and completely lost my nipple. I'm on my five months. Post-op is this normal
Numbness is very common. It depends on the operation but often times sensation can return in a couple of weeks, a year, or not at all. Nipple sensation itself is very important and can sometimes be lost with breast surgery.
You LOST your nipple? Did it fall off? Or did you lose nipple sensation?? 😮
