I’m a junior rn and what this video basically told me is.. I’m never getting into college LMAOO girl how did you have so much motivation to do all of that wow. Kudos to you and I hope Columbia is the best experience!
I'm a sophomore in high school rn and I find it incredibly interesting how similar we are. I'm not Nigerian but Ghanian but I'm also on the varsity tennis team and I want to become a surgeon when I grow up. I look up to you and I hope one day I can do as well as you!
Lol, your sister be vibin' in the back when you're talking about your SAT subject tests. You're so sweet, nicole! I was wondering, I SUCK at physics... what do you suggest to improve (i'm not taking the class yet tho)? please do a common app essay vid and college vlogs (later)! and what do you suggest to do in high school from the beginning to get premed into a prestigious college (like, legit how can i be like u)?
For physics, I had to sit myself down and walk through each problem to make sure I understood what was happening and the concepts behind it. It took a lot of patience at times, and I would sometimes have to leave and come back to problems. My physics teacher was also always willing to explain things, so that helped. From the beginning you should work hard and find something your passionate about! Maybe volunteer at a hospital or shadow a doctor if you have time (this is not a must, I never never did either but it’s still a good idea). Take rigorous courses, and if you want to go premed you definitely take AP Chem, AP Bio, and AP Physics 1 (the other physics courses too if you like it) if your school offers these courses. Let me know if you have anymore questions! I’m thinking about doing a high school advice video so I can go more in depth :)
@@nicolembibi High school advice in depth? sign me up, girl! :D Here are questions that not just me, but MANY other people would love to have answers from you... a video answering these would be lovely :).... Isaiah Doble It really is because I got into Brown and was even waitlisted to Columbia and Upenn (which ig is better than being rejected) and my resume is not nearly as impressive as hers. But maybe my essays did it for me, so don’t doubt the power of your life story and writing
If your scores are above the 25th percentile in your dream school and you've dedicated a LOT of time and effort to your ECs, even if you don't have a lot of them, you should be good to go
Go to Columbia it’s an amazing school! I used to sneak into the library during my 10 years in the upper west side in New York lol. It’s course is rigorous (mainly the liberal arts Columbia core thing) but you’ll definitely be able to handle it. Nothing beats that amazing campus and location in NYC either!! Good luck!
I love how humble you are. I love to see a fellow Nigerian sister winning. I also want to go pre med and can’t wait to see your success through the years!

Ahhh you're in the final stretch before application season. I'd have to say prioritization. The reminders app on my phone is essential (especially because I can't do planners, but planners work great too!). I have learned how to allocate my time efficiently, and I keep a to-do list, which is listed in order of importance. Now more than ever, I know it's hard to find the motivation to complete your coursework with everything being online and all, but I recommend giving yourself breaks to chill and decompress. My success has come from my understanding of how much I can do and knowing when it's time for me to take a youtube or Netflix break. Sometimes you just have to sit yourself down and bust out a couple of assignments, then take a break. I hope this makes sense, but I mostly hope it helps :)) you got it!
