Mt Baldy is a great ride. We went up the dirt road in the end with our MTB's a couple years ago. Beautiful, amazing scenery but very hot indeed.
Great videos by the way, thanks!
Thank you very much. I’d like to do it again if it’s cooler.
RESPECT!! Thanks for dealing with the steep ascent, heat, and flies to show us suffering in real time! Great video!
Thank you!
Didn't realize you were on this ride! It was hot as hell but fun.
Was that a base layer you were wearing during the ride? Must be a special one for heat.
You can't see because the sweat is in your eyes so ditch the helmet and wear a cap. I'm sure you could have paid someone a couple of bucks to take your helmet to the top so you would have it for the descend or just carry it your handlebars. The cap works to channel the sweat off your face. I can't wear a helmet in the summer because I sweat like a water tap.
Good job finishing! That is a super tuff ride even in perfect conditions.
It sucked but that’s what makes good videos I guess.
@@cyclinginsoutherncalifornia Yes. But you indicated you would do it again in the future. So that is the question that needs an answer. Why?
@@Coloradorider400 I think because under the right conditions, it could probably be an awesome day (weather, no bugs, they close the road to motorists some days, etc)
@@cyclinginsoutherncalifornia I think it's because you are a little nuts. I know because I think I am. The suffering does something for you?
Great job! I made it up about halfway and when I got home, I put on a larger cassette!
That's why I brought my Crux. 34-36 instead of my road bike which has 34-28. Ugh.
🤣🤣🤣 reminded me of my first time riding this 🤘
I’d like to do it when it’s cooler.
That looked like hell!
It was awful but I survived.
I could endure the climb and the heat; but the biting bugs would have been a dealbreaker for me. Just couldn't handle a distraction like that.
2 weeks later and I still had bites that were itching. It sucked.
That's what they sell bug spay for.
@@charlesmansplaining There was no Rite Aid on My Baldy.
