Quick tip: when doing this create a U shape with fences and push your companion in there. Place a chest in front of them so they are stuck and then start digging, once done move the chest from in front of the U and all the items the companion would of gathered gets thrown out at once, making it easier to collect. Works amazing with gardening aswell. Don't accidently talk to a character while harvesting and when finished all the extras are in one place!
I've seen this with gardening before and have yet to try it, as I'm a bit scared if my switch can manage it 😓 as of right now I have to try and manually save every 1-3 minutes when doing normal gardening on a slightly larger scale, only because the game keeps suddendly crashing as I play.
@@sammalsikuri3828 if you do a small amount at a time it helps to not crash your game, hard save before starting to harvest and then if it does crash you have not lost any progress :)
@@amberlily5437 I'll have to try it at some point then! I think I'll wait and see if there will be an update for the switch to help with the crashing - when I was playing yesterday, the game was quite laggy at times and would crash if I stopped to play for a few minutes and just let my character be, or let the save menu open. 👀👍💦
Edit: just heard there's a patch update so oop! I'll have to update mine when I can and see if it can handle the trick then. :)
@@sammalsikuri3828 I had it up to here with the constant crashing on the Switch. I had to manually save so frequently and it kept crashing regardless so I gave up. Luckily I have a game pass so downloaded it on the PC and the game plays so much better on there. I hope they fix this issue as I prefer the portability of switch.

The clay wasn't a problem for me. It was the iron that was more annoying for me... At least it wasn't 100 iron, like it is for the water tower

I found out something. In my experience the clay is abundant in the Sunlit Plateau. Try there if you struggle to get it

when we level up a friend and we can select which field they will help us better in (foraging, mining etc), can we reset what we selected? i chose the same one (foraging) for both mickey and goofy 🥴😅
Maybe this was a more recent update but I find that when it rains the holes clear up themselves

FYI don't need to be in swampy areas. Just be in the biome. I got crap load of clay just by digging up normal grass for my garden

The easiest way I get clay is buying it from Kristoff for 20 coins or make a massive farm in Glade of Trust

True but it will be costly for some and most haven’t progressed that far yet.
@@chuladom23 Do his missions to unlock the ability to make him a stall. It's alot of materials so be ready for the long haul. But once it's done, you'll rarely need materials again. Also his inventory changes daily. Today in my game he is selling coal & fabric
Honestly, I'm just going to buy my clay from Kristoff. I only have a to do a few more quests and I think I'll be able to upgrade his stand.
Does he randomly switch which resources he sells? I have never seen clay in one of his six item spots in his stall! I'm so jealous!

i have a quistion bout spawns: i cant get pink/white flowers to respawn on plaza area cause its my build/custom area- other items dont respawn there either- does removing everthing including selfplaced foliage respawns original stuff back?

haha so funny yet frusterating story! I spent hours collecting everything to craft minnie's clock tower when I got everything the quest told me to craft it I did and went to minnie then I realized I messed up cause now minnie is telling me to craft it so I should have spoken with her before I craft it in the first place XD

anyone know what to do when a memory appears in a item and I can't get it even by saving and leaving the game. its for a quest.
Hi I know this is late but in case you haven't got the answer to this .... go in furniture mode and move the item the memory is stuck in , save & then u can get to the memory. This happened to me & I was so frustrated for like 1 week before I realized I could just move the item lol 😆

Have someone who helps with digging hanging out with you before making large gardens to raise your friendship a lot. You are going to be doing a lot of digging.
why dont you just get rid of all those obstacles and trees and such it makes it easier

Literally the only worthwhile piece of info was move the well. Otherwise, there is no fast way to farm clay, just dig holes, and pray to the RNG gods.
