TIP: Growing crops takes nearly twice as long if you don't plant them in their proper biome. Eg, carrots grow best in the Meadow and pumpkins grow best in the Forgotten Lands. Typically, wherever it's sold, it'll grow best.
You know this by looking at the blue arrow icon that will appear above the seed when you get the planting prompt. :) This would make your pumpkins grow WAAYY faster than your current fields in the Plaza.
That might be the intent but that's not working now. I planted pumpkins in all biomes and they always bloomed at the same time. So I just made a couple huge fields and let the rain water the crop like in this video. It really doesn't make a difference in the long run. A full inventory of pumpkins is worth 1.3 million. After a couple days of that money is meaningless.
Swear this doesn't seem to work. Tried it multiple times and everything still grew at the same time. Like the other guy said, it really doesn't matter in the long run though.
Also a tip: you can make souffles or other food in Remy's realm. You can't take anything with you but you can cook the food and eat it there to maximize your stamina and it costs nothing!

I made several small paths, and for the biome harvest quests, just move them.

The harvesting glitch really is not worth it. If you have so many that you harvest while your buddy is locked away, once you release them you will not have time to pick them all up while they are glowing. You then will have to click them to pick them up. So it is best that you leave them beside you letting them sprinkle the area all along at intervals of 100 harvest at a time. The only advantage to locking the buddy up is so they do not get in your way when you get a halo'ed crop, but if you can keep in a straight line harvesting they stay out of the way. side to side harvest they tend to interfere.
Another tip for watering: You can actually water 8 crops at once! Just stand at the lower middle of a 4 by 2 crop area and water. I found the most efficient way to lay out my farm is a bunch of 4 by however far I can go with 1 space gaps in between each one for the extra pumpkins dropped by your farming buddy. I don't use the trapping tip because the pumpkins go EVERYWHERE.

Instead of eating souffles, I've found the berry salad gives you just the same amount of energy! And all it takes is a raspberry, blueberry, and gooseberry to make

But can you find those fruits in Remy's realm? Souffles are free if you make them in the realm and eat them there. You can even stock up on them and drop them in the realm so that when you return, you don't even have to cook again right away.
An easy and fast way without having to hop realms is the fruit salad using 5 apples, bananas, or raspberries. The fruit is free ans using 5 gives it more energy when you eat it plus you don't have to wait for it to load back and forth between realms. Coal is easy enough to get that using 1 or 2 is nothing.
@@LilBit_Everything gooseberries and coconuts would be good for that method as they have a high energy level.
You can also cook 3 pumpkins and make a lot more money. Just make sure you have Kristof's stall upgraded so you can buy coal.
You can actually just add 5 and it sells for even more
@@aust222in if you do that it will actually drop the value for each pumpkin. Using 3 makes you almost 800 extra profit. Using more drops the total profit you make. Trust me or test it

Another tip...
You can use ANY of the cooking stations in the game (including the Sunlit Plateau and Forgotten Lands, but not the ones in other peoples homes) just make sure you have the ingredients in a chest in your home.Buy lots of ingredients from Remy and put them in a chest so they can be accessed that way. If you get low on stamina just make a "pit stop" at the cooking station and make a couple of meals and then carry on.
Another early game tip.
When you start out you only have access to Scrooge's crafting table, but when you open up Peaceful Meadows you can now have access to the station next to Goofy's house, if it happens to be nearer than Scrooge's store.
One more tip...
It you're making food for selling, put a stove next to one of Goofy's stalls (just make sure you have enough ingredients in storage) and make the food right there. It saves you the time of going to your house or Chez Remy's and saves you a little time.

Sometimes it bugs out but you can still use them. As for the crafting stations...you're given one pretty early on in the game but goofy's and scrooge's are easy to use as well.

Another tip for planting: Whichever direction your character is facing is the direction they will automatically move when holding the plant button! So make sure you make your character look straight down the line before holding the plant button!
I’m gonna be real, I’m still gonna need them to add a tractor or something to make gardening/watering even faster 😭 even with the hold key it’s just too slow and tedious for me

I got a tip put the chest from your house in your inventory then buy a bunch from scrooge there basically ender chest drop them around your warp wells err whatever and when your inventory full you can drop and go!

You can also go to Remy’s realm and make a few meals to max your power without using your resources! Also.. making grilled veggies with 1 pumpkin sells for more than 1 pumpkin, but if you make it with 3 pumpkins it gives you sooo much more!
Or place your house nearby and everytime you go in your house it fills your stamina

Also a completely unrelated tip... GET IRON. LOTS OF IT! You'll need it trust me.
I had no idea those trees were where the wood was coming from!!!
What Donald Duck does is: he trips and falls down, he gets mad about it, supposedly with steam coming from his ears (the locomotive sound). Then he trips and falls again.

I love it when Donald duck gets angry... lol I caught mines getting angry at a squirrel. But more I watch him he trips over nothing then goes off at the nothing that made him fall looses stamina falls again and cools off.. one of my session he went off 5 times..

For some reason my hold down for planting doesn’t work and it takes me so long to actually plant it work for picking up crops but not when I plant them.. anyone else have this issue? I use the switch btw

I’d definitely recommend it, but you might want to wait a month or two until they have time for a couple more patches if you can wait. A LOT of people are having some game breaking bugs at this point, especially on Switch.

Um...stardew valley is just a clone of Harvest moon, you realize that right? Just because a game has similar mechanics does not mean it's not good and just because a game has growing crops does not mean it's the same thing either.
It's included with gamepass on xbox if you have one. Also has cross console account link so you can play the same file across any devices with the game. Xbox doesn't have as many glitches as the switch in my experience and isn't laggy.

I absolutely hate the Donald Duck outbursts though; I go as far as turning off my entire sound when I come across him. Totally destroying my vibe. XD
yeah i really wish i knew about the wishing well cheese when i was on merlin’s quest for 25 mushrooms lmao
ironically it’s the quest that gives you the ability to delete those big mushrooms
also, a tip i wouldve added is if you want to farm wood super fast, delete all the trees in a biome and then readd 4-5 trees. all your wood will spawn on those trees, making it a lot easier to farm hardwood for quests.
You can just move the items to the side you can access too. Seems like it's easier than moving the fountain and waiting to load. Only thing you can't get that way is the mine spots. Otherwise any wood, food, mushrooms, etc you can grab and drag to where you are.
4:41 You can also open the edit menu and just move the things you need to where you are so you don't have to move the teleport thing.

Harvesting like that though your going to lose all those bonus crops, also souffle is costly a berry salad is better your already picking berries so it is way cheaper. When I cook for energy I just make the berry salads.
i just use chocolate candy to max my energy (putting 5x cocoa into the pot) it will basically max your energy immediately from just 1 piece of candy

I think also she was using Remy’s kitchen through the castle realm portal - it takes the recipes and ingredients you pick up when you leave but, if you eat to your max bonus energy it stays for you to use through the valley. Sort of tedious but it’s free as you don’t use your own items 👀

i am a bit sus of the information i have as i have seen different values for certain crops in different spreadsheets online, but i can share whatever i know in case it helps

again, i am not 100% sure of some of these values, especially cotton and potato, but most of it should be relatively accurate
So a lot of info is commented already but still missing a lot too like this one you can fish anywhere for seaweed and if you take a buddy of yours along with you that has the fishing ability then whenever they activate on it which is not every single time but when they do and you get a seaweed you'll get an extra winner extra two depending on how many buddies you have that have the fishing ability
If you use 5 pumpkins in a pot, you can make 4,000+ gold a single serving, which is almost triple the normal price they sell for. Just buy coal at kristoff's stall.
Pro tip: If you use just 3 you get more money. IIRC 3 is about 920 per pumpkin and 5 is 850 per pumpkin.
Tip: for your fruit alley. You'll get a mission or dreamlight duty where u have to harvest fruits from a biome ( ex. Collect 3 fruits from the forest of valor. ) I have to put a fruit bush back there and haverest it twice to finish it

Coal isn’t as limiting as you think. Just follow Kristov’s quests till he gets a stall, fully upgrade the stall (no money required) and he sells coal ore for 5 Star Coins each.

Well, my switch A hold button doesn’t always work (found others with same problem) , so doing massive farming isn’t easy at all.

I can only get it to continuously plant 1 out of 20 attempts. I hold the button down but she just stops after one. It’s like it wants me to be at some exact right angle, but then when it does work it didn’t seem to matter. Just suddenly it works. So most of the time I’m planing one at a time. Take a step. Get the light in the next thing. Plant one. It’s very annoying. But when harvesting it doesn’t do that. I can hold the button down then and it works. So I don’t get it.
When fishing for Seaweed, always have a fishing buddy! They'll give +1 seaweed almost every time.

Hey. I just found a blue sapphire after putting a book in the mystery room in the castle.
I can only get on for a few minutes a day. Okra is better in that case as it only needs to be watered once. Pumpkins need to be watered twice so I'd only be able to harvest every other day which would be less profit than harvesting okra everyday
Donald Duck loses control because he has PTSD from being in the Navy. He actually has a military file.
If you do the trick with autofarming, just be aware that you will lose all of the bonus crops.

You can get a well fed buff for free. Make sure you're full stamina first by going to your house. Then, go to Remy's world. Get 10 fish there for free. Cook up 2 meals with 5 fish each, for free you don't need coal. Eat the 2 meals and your stamina bar should be full yellow.
You could also just use macro keys while farming, that's what I'm doing :)
I sold gems early on, but now I keep them unless there is a Dreamlight duty.
The “harvesting glitch” is just your companion holding onto their crops until you let them go.

@@HarryTohJunShen98 yes and no... it can crash the game if your pc ect cant handle it... but otherwise it wont cause any unusual problems
I tried it once on my Xbox but the game crashes so often right now I never did it again. I lost like an hour worth of work and gems because when it loaded back up the companion I had was no longer "hanging out" with my character so I never got the bonus stuff and lost about half of what I had gotten on my own. In my opinion it just wasn't worth the risk.

These are great tips but it’s kind of hilarious trying to rush through a relaxing non competitive game. I’m just going to take my time (until I find a cute outfit I can’t afford that is😂)
It’s so terrible on the switch. Keeps crashing. When harvesting crops it crashes and half the time you can’t go fast to plant them.
