- This trip we are with a good mate Callum and explore some new country in the Ruahine ranges over the new Kings birthday weekend. We need meat for the freezer and start of winter is always a good time for a stag. Big shout out to the Westies Sam, Josh and Kirk, looking forward to catching up in the hills again soon guys! Enjoy.

Alot of effort put in this video edit and hard yarns on the Hill typical long view blowing it guts out well done callum for bombing up a couple deer that tripod worked a treat,callum made up for his miss shot up near waterfall hut good shit

When I used to hunt down there about 20yrs ago the hutbook went back to the early 80's . Got very few visitors. Great spot.

'We followed an animal track' yeah right, you guys do it hard! The projectile in the ear trick was pretty unique. My boy retrieved one out of a jaw once.

Have a look at trigger sticks. I believe the latest version is.a lot more reliable than earlier ones. very quick to set up as the legs extend to suit ground level. Great video as usual thanks for taking us along.

Hey mate he is a miniature foxy but a big one, they are a different breed from jack Russell’s but very similar. He is awesome but sometimes too keen when we get close to the deer!
