"Who drinks sake with steak" - I went to a nice teppanyaki restaurant in Kobe to try Kobe beef with some friends a couple of years ago. We asked the waitress (in Japanese) for drink recommendations. She recommended a local sake and it's the best I've ever drunk, very different to any sake I had tried before. Went perfectly with the meal.

I can confirm what Chris said about Human Japanese. I remember using it before there was even a desktop version. I always recommend it to people starting to learn Japanese. There are a lot of other resources that can go one way or the other but this one just nails it for beginners or low-intermediate especially.

Dude, when people say that. Ugh, so annoying. It's like, yeah. I have my own opinions about cultures other than mine. If they get offended, that's their issue, not mine. If somebody told me "Yeah, I hate Canadian summers." I'd be like "Yeah, fair enough." not "That's extremely offensive to my culture and people." Even if somebody did say something really rude about my country it's like, who cares? They don't need to live here. They're allowed to dislike it.

Unus Annus honestly showed me how fast something can happen and just be gone the next day... It was actually emotional watching the timer click to all zeros and just being deleted right then and there... It taught me to not take anything for granted because it could be done in a flash...
