I can't tell. It's just as likely that I'm a villain attacking everyone in monster town instead of a hero in human town being attacked by monsters. All I can say for sure is that I've never seen a human in this game, so it isn't looking good for me.

It sounds like that ability it best when you get it early when your damage is already low and the enemies are easy, but getting it late game looks like a run killer.

@@Nyghtking yeah it’s only good early because after that you just stack crit dmg as regular dmg is irrelevant, and as soon I saw him take it I was like “yup it’s over”
@@georgeviezcas9144 It feels like if you can't get it within the first 2 or 3 mini-bosses you probably shouldn't get it at all, and even at the third mini-boss it looks like it's risky.
Man, that one-third damage upgrade killed your build. Went from 1210 crit/302 hit to 403 damage per "crit," but it didn't seem to be critting 100% of the time. I think the bounce shots don't receive the crit chance, or crits are randomly displayed despite happening 100% of the time, because a lot of those arrows were dealing 101 damage. Fortunately, piercing arrows seemed to carry crit and were prioritized over bounces, though that did make your 2-3 bounce upgrades useless.
Seriously. It was 100% what killed his run.
I think the 101 damage was the explosions as they did 1/4 damage

100% chance for loss of damage is a terrible upgrade especially when you already have 40% crit chance

The only thing that ruined his OP build is the massive loss of damage with the crit upgrade he chose.
I think he could have easily brought it back up with more "crits deal 150% dmg" (and similar) upgrades.
I hope my following math checks out:
If he had 100dmg (easier to calculate with), and 550% extra damage on crit (actual number), with a 40%crit chance (I think it was around that). Over 100 shots, he deals (60*100)+(40*550)= 28.000
Then the Upgrade reduced it to 1/3, so 33dmg, but now every shot deals 550% dmg.
Thus, 100 shots equal 100*181,5=18.150
But from this point on each "150% crit dmg" adds dmg like crazy. After 2 upgrades he would be back at 28.000dmg he "lost", and the other "normal" dmg upgrades would have had a much stronger impact as well.
TL;DR: Taking the gold "third dmg but 100% crit" earlier and then bringing the damage up again would have had a STRONG positive impact on his build. But not the way he did it, unfortunately.

About the billion dollar bounty, there's a hi fantasy series in which the main character a thief , Eli Montpress , upon being told by his father that he'd be worthless determined to get himself a ridiculous gold bounty. At this point is Bounty is so high if any single nation would pay it off it could break them. There were a few times where he turned in another Criminal with the understanding that instead of giving him the money they would add the criminal he brought in bounty to his own. He also has a friend who's possessed by a demon, and another friend who wields a sword that holds the soul of the mountain and said friend has cut a ship in half with it.

It's better to invest in crit rate and crit damage very early and buff damage over time since the crit dmg buffs are bigger than pure dmg buffs so if you need more dmg you just increase your damage, so your crits deal more dmg
You should try to unlock roger by spending a lot of gold in the black market

The 100% crit item is a bit of a trap because the damage penalty is permanent. The crit damage upgrades are still good, but the base damage upgrades will only be adding 1/3 what they normally do. It pairs pretty well with the other crit-based upgrades but you're better off just being patient with the 5% crit upgrades when you can get them.
Also, projectiles will either bounce or pierce but never both at once. You can have both on a projectile and they will randomly bounce or pierce, but they will only bounce OR pierce. When you have have 100% crit rate and the item to pierce on crit your arrows will no longer bounce, they will ONLY pierce.
Cooldown upgrades are actually super useful because they cut _all_ the cooldown timers, including the 60s timers on the shield and medic pouch. They apply based on the current cooldown multiplier, so you do get diminishing returns, but are still quite rewarding and will carry you through late-game.

Yo, DF, cooldown is king. It's the only upgrade that's multiplicative--so if you get a attack item, it'll trigger exponentially faster for every cooldown upgrade you have.
Also if you use Nigel, he has 5 piercing from the get go, and since his shuriken boomerang, that means that even though he starts with 20 damage, he does 40 to enemies unless there's enough to wear out his pierce. Which doubles the effect of his damage upgrades.
When u got the 100% crit upgrade and reduce damages is what killed the run. Great explosions but the damage output just wasn’t there anymore

yeah it not that much of enemy on screen yet and both already suffered with lag issues
The defs said theyd work on it and fox it before the full release, the issue is less the enemies and more the calculation that they havent optimised

That second crit chance hurt you far more than it helped. lol
The aoe upgrade also increases the size of your slow feild
Pro tips: Don't choose legendary explosion on crit upgrades cause it'll be bad for the long run.
Should have picked up the 150% crit dmg over the extra bounce. You're doing 100% crit so extra bounce is pretty much redundant after that since all crits also pierce. Would have got some extra dmg 💀

Like, complaining about damage? Stack crit, get a 500-600% damage increase just from that one stat
