Getting the flying sword allows for the first boss to drop a normal item chess to allow you to get the bow upgrade from the very start.

So if my math is correct, the bow you pick does technically lower your damage. 1 star lowers it to 37%, but it makes it a triple shot and gives you +2 upgrades of damage. So if all 3 arrows hit then you are doing more damage. If any of them miss then you will always do less damage.

I would think the arrow count bow that has the percentage for arrow damage functions to say what percentage of your damage each arrow is doing.
you are correct, my highst score is 9863 using the blue bow because that bow mixed with crit chance is pretty good, the blue bows last upgrade is to give it 2 more projectiles so you arent missing out on the crit chance of the purple with multi projectiles. The arrow damage late game will trump everything else by about x4 that is because I did get 2 x2 damage and arrows though so maybe they could keep up if you poured everything but the 3rd run through you are having enimes with over 300k health.

Blunders that could be easily avoided just by reading for a couple seconds are really on-brand for DF

I really like this channel. There are a lot of fun cartoons for me to watch.
Not that you will likely ever come back to this game but the "arrow quantity and frequency up but arrow damage down" is actually still a damage increase. because if you are shooting 2 arrows at 100 damage (200), and now shoot 4 arrows but lose 23%. you are still shooting 4 arrows at 77 damage (308) so still worth taking that.

Time flies when you're having fun. Dragons flies too. Dragons makes DF happy so more dragons for DF.
The purple bow just means each arrow does that percentage of your damage. So you just spread damage evenly between arrows so you don't actually lose overall damage just damage per arrow. I.E. 1 Arrow 9 Damage -> 3 Arrows 3 Damage (Each Arrow)

The arrow damage percent from the multishot is how much damage each of your arrows are doing, you shoot 3 arrows but they only do 39% of your arrow damage
Finally one of those gate games where it actually needs thought and consideration what build you make

When you hit an enemy, whatever health they have is subtracted from yours. So you just have to check you have more health than them and you won't have to swerve and avoid upgrades :P
That would involve thinking and eyesight though

df Ive played this game quite alot if you want the insta t3 drags that do 240 dmg just reroll on the big bosses they are the only ones who drop t3 drags than just build arrow or sword stuff on inbetween bosses

0:51 okay that was funny 37% so it mean you need to shoot 3 to deal 111% of dmg, but if you hit for example 2 you deal 74%
You were actually focusing on the right target. Your shot distance was short enough that it wouldn't have reached the larger enemies anyways.
The triple/Quintuple bows make it shoot 3 arrows at 37% damage and 5 arrows at 23% damage you dont GAIN that much,the arrows do that much of the original damage because theres 3/5 of them
Played this game thanks to DF. I ended up getting a red sword build. With way, way too many swords. And no cooldown to speak of. There were so many, it was making my system chug. -_- ...I'm a 3D modeler. I have a *workstation* machine.

The sword riding seems like a debuff
For the bow that increases atrow count it works like 37% of your max damage. So if you hit all 3 arrows the it does 112% but if you miss any then it gets bad
So it’s better in the beginning but for longer runs it gets worse as your aoe increases it reduces the amiunt o arrows hitting your target. Since for every upgrade to that bow it increases the amount of arrows but decreases the percentage to an amount that would be about equal. For instance at level 2 you have 5 arrows each doing 12% max damage for 110% total if all hit but missing any makes this upgrade not worth it

I think the colors are related to how "good" they are. Since red is the best. The dog and dragon are in red text...
the 37% wasnt minus, it was how much u have left aka u get 37% of ur total damage

Maybe i was too harsh on those ads... based on the way DF is playing it actually is a bit difficult to beat these types of games
