This is my first reaction and breakdown of BTS: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert from NPR. Such a great performance.

1:07- the man in center is V whose real name is Taehyung.
10:16- he is J-Hope. he is singer, rapper and main dancer .
in their seating manner ( left to right)- J-Hope, SUGA, Jungkook, V, Jin , RM, Jimin.
They Performed Spring Day in end since it is a song of missing someone and since the pandemic, they have been performing this 3 year-old song to dedicate to their fan i.e - ARMY to tell them that they miss them and want to see them again and sooner. Hope that helps.

Comeback trailers are basically teaser or trailers when a new a album is dropped . In k-pop , it is referred as a 'comeback'

do not assume jimin is the only one that sings high! all the vocalists do, even tae does, who has a low voice. now jin and jimin are the ones who most commonly belt in higher range, imo. but they are all amazing.

Some extra info:
Maknae (pronounced with soft k sounds like g. Magne) is what you call the youngest in a group or family etc.
Hyung is what you call older (even just by 1 year) male friends, brothers etc.
They all have lots of nicknames but I think I mentioned the most used now.
3 rappers, 4 vocalists.
In Korea you put the surname first and Kim is the most common surname in Korea.
Agust D is what Suga goes by on his solo stuff.
Seating order here: J-Hope (rapper, sub vocalist), Suga (rapper), JK (main vocalist, sub rapper), V (vocalist), Jin (vocalist), RM (rapper) and Jimin (lead vocalist).
Take with a grain of salt all of the people telling you Spring Day is about x, y, or z.
It is really frustrating to me that so many ARMY continue to press this on reactors.
Suga and RM themselves stated that they wrote it thinking about missing friends. The song is about the sense of loss and the grief process when parted from people you love, regardless of the reason.
The MV does have some undeniable references to a national tragedy, and it is certainly true that these were an intentional nod to memorializing that tragedy. But I would also take the *theory* video with a grain of salt.
I agree with lots of the things she says in that video, but I also think there are several things that she states as fact that are either untrue or a real stretch.
There are also other theory videos that analyze the song that have equally good points and observations.
I feel like people who become fixated on the song and the MV being all and only about one specific thing do a disservice to the message of the song.
RM himself refused to state the MV was about this national tragedy when asked. Not for fear of repercussions. He was glad people got comfort from the song. But he expressly wanted to leave the song and MV open for each person to draw their own meaning from. When the artist himself directly refuses to put a hard line on the meaning, it is inconsiderate for the fans to state that this song is about one particular thing as if it is fact.
I love it! Good art can be interpreted differently by different people. So I’m excited to listen and react to it!
Finally i met someone who thinks this. It annoys me too, how everyone takes that "explain" video of spring day as the absolute truth. I agree completely with you that there a lot of things in the mv that are references to it but that's it.
@@mcmusic96 I honestly think she's totally off base with her interpretation of the Snowpiercer reference. There is another explanation video that I think interprets it more accurately. Fact is the Snowpiercer reference is in the *lyrics*, not the MV, and the lyrics were not written with that specific tragedy in mind. It was far more likely a metaphor for the concept of endless winter, which is literally what he is talking about in that line, and possibly the cyclical, endless feeling of grief.
As such, I think she is also wrong about the scene where JK runs to join the others and them getting off the train.... basically everything she interprets as social political rebellion i disagree with.
RM said they wrote the song to comfort people. This was about grief and showing there is an end to it and you're not actually alone.
I also think she's completely wrong in her claim about the birthday scene.
I just wish people were more apt to critically think for themselves and not just swallow everything they're told as fact.
@@ashleyder9164 I agree, there a lot of things she tries so hard to link with the mv just for the sake of making her theory work. I think it's easier for people to just accept what the rest says as true, without trying to verifying it themselves, especially when they're just starting to get into bts, it's the same with the members and their introductions, they sum up their entirety of their beings into a couple of adjectives and call it a day

The MV for Save Me is great. They did the whole thing in one shot. They worked all day doing take after take to get it right, and it was cold, windy, and rainy outside. They were SO cold, lol. That's dedication.
Jungkook (purple mic) is the center (the one that dances in the middle during the chorus) of the group because he can rap, dance and sing so he is a good fit. Because he is the main vocalist he sings the most and most of the harmonies are written and sang by him so the part of dynamite where Jin sang and the harmony came in and it kinda went back and forwards and you said it was synchronized was him and as well as 3rd song harmonizing with Jhope was Jungkook

I agree with a few other people who have suggested a good way to get to know them as individuals would be by watching Who is BTS, the Seven Members of Bangtan. It is a little bit out of date (two years, I think), so not all of the information is 100% accurate anymore, but it does a pretty good job of introducing each member in a reasonable length of time. There are other potentially better intros for each member, but they are much, much longer.

The one in the middle is V also known as Taehyung or Tae. He sang Singularity. He had a very deep voice that projects such emotions but he can also sing very high notes.
I hope you can react to Spring Day and its explained video by bulletproof vibes. It was written by RM and refers to the Sewol Tragedy thats why it is sentimental for the korean people. The song is considered ‘Queen’ as it never left the charts for the past 3 years

They sing in Japanese too. RM is pretty fluent in English. You probably know that he learned it by watching “Friends.” I think others understand some English but don’t necessarily to respond in English. But they’re quick learners!
This was one of the things that really amazed me about RM. He watched Friends with Korean subtitles, then with English subtitles and then with no subtitles and taught himself English in the process.

I agree....Tiny Desk is a HUGE honor, no matter who you are. NPR made me really happy by having them on. 4:04 - that's V also called Taehyung. 17:29 is J-Hope. They are, left to right on MY screen....J-Hope, SUGA, Jungkook, V, Jin, RM, and Jimin. Spring Day is a masterpiece.
RM learned English on his on by watching the sitcom Friends as a kid.
That’s amazing. Also, learning it as a kid would help his accent as well!
He also lived in New Zealand for a short time when he was younger. Having to converse in English with the locals really helped hone his ability to speak so clearly. It doesn't hurt that his IQ is 148 so his beautiful mind processes things easier. In several interviews, when the members are asked what they love about each other, several of them usually say they love RM's beautiful mind, lol
Jungkook does most of the harmonizing and adlibs 💜 he's our main vocalist, and he's amazing. You should check out "Jungkook's amazing vocals" by joylisakook. (He's the one in orange jacket and blue jeans, purple mic)

Oh you're in for a surprise with Spring Day if you ever decide to review that song separately. There's just SO much to unpack with that song. SO many hidden meanings, leaving with some koreans to believe that it was the catalyst for the impeachment of South Korea's first female president.

Spring day is a memorial song, a song of hope for Koreans who lost their children and loved ones from the sinking of a ferry, a lot of corruption politically instead of caring about the families grieving. Look it up before sharing.

{This song was about missing friends/loved ones who may have left or passed away and providing comfort. Also, rumoured to depict the 2014 Sewol Ferry tragedy in South Korea where 304 passengers died and majority were students on a field trip to Jeju Island. The Captain announced for the passengers to stay put inside their cabins and not to come out whereas he and some crews evacuated when some rescue boats arrived. This tragedy involved the government, conglomerate firms and politics so BTS could only pay tributes to the victims through their music or else they would be blacklisted by the Govt. If you got Jimin then he is born in the same year with Jimin ;p He is V(Taehyung), he and Jimin are the best friends also soulmates, they are both born in 1995 so we call them 95z or 95 line. But I have to say this song is quite out of Taehyung's range :( Since you have reacted to Singularity you might know that.
