That was amazing! Even since I saw Quilligan's photo, I was so curious how you made the second arms and torso segment. That paper really worked perfectly to create a scale texture! And I agree, those eyes are beautiful. Thank you so much for squeezing this collab into your busy schedule! I love our alien space crew so much, and it was wonderful working with you! :D

And the fact that shes so humble about it too, and also tries to research and honor other cultures like Girl no we bow.
She is,i found most other doll customization channels because of her which is really got me interested in learning to customize

I love Dollightful! I've been waiting and waiting all month for another video from her! Was so happy to see she had posted one, and then even happier that it was a collab with these other 3! I watch them often too, and their dolls are always amazing :) Also, I know you just said you don't usually watch any other doll customizers, but besides the other 3 in this collab, Hextian, MrSuperCustom and PoppenAtelier are also super amazing! They are worth a look if you are interested!

I think the idea that the reason Quilligan has so many of the emblems on him is because he was so excited to be able to go on adventures with his new friends is so sweet.
I recommend using liquid masking to protect the eyes from the paint. I use it all the time for my Gundam customs

I honestly love how this dude came out, given all the challenges you faced in design. The paper texturing and extra arms were a big stroke of genius, and I think his eyes have that perfect mix of haunting mystery that let you know he’s lived through some tough times 👌

I did that "Cut in half and give four arms thing" with my "Aja" doll 2 years ago. I did basically the same thing, but instead of using more monster high doll arms, I used Barbie made to move arms. These were much stiffer and held poses quite nicely.
While the plastic surgery went over well, my doll was ruined by my poor paint job with clunky brushes. I'm glad yours turned out better.
Sand the chunks off and repaint it.
@@Schnort oh, the paint wasn't chunky, the brushes were. I was just trying doll remodeling for the first time, so I used whatever cheap crayola brushes I had, which meant the lines on the doll were thick and undetailed. I could probably add a second layer of paint now that I know what I am doing, but part of me likes the idea of having something to show my progress.

The eyes those other doll makers must have been glass cabochons with decorated backs. that is the only way I can think of where they could scratch off anything and still have good eyes.

For some reason my gut reaction to lizard with 4 arms was “but lizards don’t have 6 limbs” - apparently I forgot I was watching an alien video, lol. Love how they turned out!
Love the story! Sounds like a great backstory for a character in a D&D space campaign. I was just thinking that it's a good thing only Quilligan's species can handle the crystals, prevents others from coming in and taking over The Mine. Now his planet has a great economy boost 😏
Nice story for you character. I like to think your character can be seen as an extrovert because he seems so happy with his crew and wanting a life of adventure. I think since you added so much of the emblem, it could be he is happy to be among friends and is part of a crew 😊.

I had that electric/mechanic frankie stein doll back when it was made...I loved it but my friends played too rough with her neck snapped breaking the wire connections,I ended up having to “Frankenstein” her neck together with electrical tape and duck tape...I ended up having to throw her away after she gave me a bad electric shock and caused a blood blister to form on the palm of my hand.

I still have one in perfect condition, I'm kinda surprised she is well kept

Quilligan turned out amazing! I like that you really went all in on the alien theme, with all of the body modifications, scales, etc. I also love how different and awesome all of the dolls turned out. I love the thought of an interracial alien crew, as usually you see crews of one species, which makes sense. For example in No Man's Sky you won't see vy'keen on a gek freighter, or gek on a vy'keen freighter.
One of my many favorite things about your dolls is the unique backstories you give them.

Just a thought - the next time you add in eyes before spraying/painting the body, you should try using liquid latex! I'm a resin artist and I use liquid latex on the back of my pieces when I give the front a top coat. It peels off neatly in one piece and acts as a protective layer. You could use a tiny brush to add liquid latex to the eyes, let it dry, spray the doll, and then peel the latex off the eyes. Worth a shot, in my opinion! Liquid latex is awesome for stuff like this.

And I was so happy to see another 4-armed creature after my Wasp and Bee Fairy videos :D Luckily for me - I am making doll figurines, so I didn't have to worry about mobility of the joints :P So I admire your doll's articulation even more! :) Besides the overall wonderful doll - I noticed that the stripes appeared on your speed up footage. I had this problem at the beginning of my channel and I was furious about it. After few videos I finally realized that it was the frame rate option in the editing software (I am using DaVinci Resolve) that wasn't high enough for the frame rate of my footage. The solution was just to change it at the beginning of the new project :) I watched a lot of your videos and never noticed it before, so maybe you know about it but just forgot this time :P If someone is frustrated by this on this video, I suggest to use 720p resolution settings instead of HD :) There will be no stripes then :P

Seeing you and everyone’s characters have given me the itch to write a fan fiction about y’all’s amazing creations. I love each and every doll that was created for this collaboration. They are all so unique and beautiful.
