In this DCS: F/A-18C Hornet video, we’ll look at some of the changes coming to the Electronic Warfare, or EW, page. This consists of new ALR-67 symbols and enhancement. It’s important to understand that enhancements are regarding an existing emitter contact on the EW display, they cannot be displayed independent of an emitter symbol. Let’s get started.
First, we have a new symbol for Early Warning Radars, or EWRs. These are the large, low-frequency radars that operate independently of a SAM site. These now appear as stylized radar dish.
Another new symbol is for radar-guided anti-aircraft artillery units like ZSU-23-4 or Gepard. This appears as a bent line with two protruding lines on the top.
Now let’s look at some of the new symbol enhancements. First is an open-X symbol that will surround an emitter symbol that is also jamming.
If the FLIR is slaved to an emitter on the EW page, a circle will surround the correlated symbol.
When a HARM is handed off to emitter also on the EW page, a staple will be drawn below the EW symbol indicating the two are correlated.
If an EW symbol is correlated with a friendly radar contact, a hemisphere will appear above the symbol. If, however, the radar contact is ambiguous, it will appear as a staple above the symbol. - Hry

@@KuostA Deep Learning Super Sampling. It is the most modern upscaling technology suported only by Nvidia RTX graphic cards. It uses neural network to upscale picture in real time. By that you can for example run game in FullHD and upscale that into 4K resolution. So you will still have good performance (frame time) for a very small loss of graphics details. The RTX 4 series will support the DLSS 3.0 which generates the fictional frames. By that again you will get much more fps with very small loss of details.
I was stationed in the Sinai back in 2009-2010. Get it right! I'll know! Lol Please add MFO North Camp, MFO South Camp and Sharm El-Sheik Airport, and Tiran Island Outpost! All can be found on Google Earth. Nothing classified there!
when are you going to fix CCIP? F18's CCIP is completed messed up. People has been complaining about it for years.

About the part where the FLIR tracking gets correlated with the EW contact, Does that mean you can use the TGP to look at a EW contact or how else does the EW know the contact is correlated?

Yeah, that's a good question. If we can make the flir point at a given nail, that would be pretty cool.

Hi have a question? This may not be so important , but just wondering: I´m kinda new to DCS, more precise kinda new to Hornet. No have been flying many user file campaigns and missions, and have noticed that in MANY of em there is put "default" 30 flares to hornet (yes I know it can carry more, and thats why I´m asking). Is it somekind of old limit before later updates, or is there some other reason why 30, more or less in every user made mission? Why not 50 or 60 etc..? Does it have effect to something or something like that..?

You have to manually slew the TGP.
Some lovely shots of the symbology there, almost lost focus with some distracting background map imagery. I was expecting you to paint the pyramids with the air-to-ground radar, Wags, just to see what that looks like. Maybe next time...

Thanks for the update! Are there any functional enhancements on their way as well, like radar/jammer priority and pre-emptive jamming (if the Hornet is capable of such jamming mode)?
That's what I want. It seems the F16 has more ECM jamming modes and possibilities than the Hornet. I know it's not a super hornet but it seems lacking. Perhaps their isn't more capability since the Navy has the growler for this reason.

Does anyone have a solution to why when I click "new server" and make a mission for me and my friend to play it doesn't show up on the list for him to join and when he tries to join by my ip it says my server is offline even though I'm in the server and waiting for him to join?
Hi Matt. I’m running the F-18 and been having issues with dumb bomb accuracy in INS mode. Saw a video stating to switch to GPS mode, which I’ve done, but accuracy is still terrible. Strafing isn’t any better. What’s going on? Sounds like this is an ongoing issue with DCS?

What do you mean? the hornet never had a Missile Warning System, just RWR missile launch indication when the missile is radar guided. IR are sneaky bastards :)
