- Dalgona Honeycomb Cookies - It seems there is no one who hasn’t seen the Netflix series “Squid Game”. In episode 3 of the new and cruel series from South Korea, we have all seen the cookie game. A game where the contestants need to separate the shape from the cookie. The cookie is a honeycomb cookie known by its other name; Dalgona cookie. This candy is a famous Korean street food, basically it’s a caramelized lollipop and it’s very easy to make (only 2 ingredients).

RECIPE
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Baking soda
Directions:
1. Add sugar to a small nonstick pan.
2. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and become liquid.
3. Turn the heat off, add baking soda and stir immediately. The mixture will change its color.
4. Pour the mixture on a parchment paper, gently press the mixture with a flat bottom object such as glass/plate/pan.
5. Using a cookie cutter, press your favorite shape.
6. Let it harden.
7. Try to separate the shape without breaking the cookie in 10 minutes. - Jak na to + styl

Tip : once it starts becoming crystalized (melted) put it on lower heat and once you put in the baking powder and stir IMMEDIENTLY POUR IT!! It can burn really easily, trust me I learned the hard way. If it becomes orange it's a big no no, you'll be scraping for pan for a few minutes.
Does Baking powder work instead of the baking soda ??

You dont need to scrape the pan,put it under water and soon enough itll be well,gone.
If the sugar sticks to the pan, soak it in warm water. Some people are complaining about that in the comments, but if soaked, the sugar dissolves. Hope that helps!

just a question how do you get the leftover hardened sugar off the pan so your mom wont kill you?
I would recommend putting the pan in the sink and put the water on the highest heat. Just put it over the spot where it is hardened and it should melt. Sorry I am late

I did it but it got stuck to the pan for a bit and I didn’t think you’d have to be that fast, but it does really work! You just gotta be speedy

@@adikinslaweno6682 yep almost happened to me but that’s why it’s supposed to be done quick 😭 I had to take it off the pan onto the persimmon paper so it could cool down fast and stop growing. I then wet the pan to make the candy solid because then it would continue to grow. It was so scary I may have almost burned myself and the house down but one closely damaged pan is way better than death. 👍

I tried it kinda worked you have to know when to take it off the stove and didn't have the best taste but all that matters is to have fun!

I have a question, after the sugar turns to a liquid I have to turn off the heat
Then when I have to pour the baking soda and stir, do I turn on the heat again? Or do I keep the heat off while quickly mixing the baking soda with the sugar
Also, after pressings a cooking cutter against the cookie, about how long do I have to let it cool down?
You can turn off the heat and quickly stir. The way how I do it is I stir the sugar. To prevent overheating I remove the pan from the stove but I don’t turn it off. I continue mixing and adding baking soda to it. I put the pan back on the stove when I need more heat.
Don't need to use a pan, set it to a really really low heat, and be quick when pouring since it hardens really fast
