Standing Waves Vortex Marble Twist - Start to Finish Construction Episode 34

In this video I create a borosilicate glass vortex marble from start to finish.
Starting with multiple layers of gold and silver fumed lines I build up a complex cross hatch effect along the interior wall. After backing with blue and then black frit, I press indents which are filled with clear glass. After heating and reshaping the conical form, this alters the interior shape into gentle undulating waves. The back side is built out in my usual process with raked color lines using aqua blue, green and amber purple floating over the reflective silver fumed base.
