Revive Speed is above the damage reduction properties and respawn speed purely because Hand Maiden can make it work for instant revives in high intensity situations. All the others go to F tier.
Awesome considerations and reasoning throughout, hence for your tier list vids honestly I think it's low effort production wise (time/effort to make vid) but high effort since you've put so much work into understanding and explaining vermintide (unlike a tier list I saw the other day where someone put mace and sword low tier... LOL) A few things I might add: - Personally I liked how crit power/CD were together, seemed appropriate given their niches - Curse resistance decision making is cursed XD I felt your pain - Revive speed >>> respawn speed -- As bad as they are, getting a clutch revive is always gonna have more value than having a dead teammate respawn sooner imo. Also it's a great meme on handmaiden (since you don't *need* Stam Rec) since you can get almost instant revives (it's so funny) - Chaos > Skaven when not considering breakpoints (though idk if it would be a full tier diff...) because the chaos horses are tougher/more dangerous + the two super tanky elites are chaos compared to SVs? Overall great insights and reasonings, I always love your insights into the game
Aww why thank you very much my friend I'm glad to hear that! :) And not to make it sound worse than it is but by low effort were still talking 1 hour making the icons and setting up the tier list plus another hour recording and something like 3-4 hours of editing and another 1-2 hours rendering/uploading/writing description and making the thumbnail!
Yeah its pretty accurate I think armor vs skaven/chaos should be 20%, armor vs AOE should be 30% (and make it affect all AOE actually) Movement speed up to 8% (i mean 5% is not BAD, but its rivaled by crit chance and stamina regen) CDR up to 15% Push block could also increase push range (not only arc)
Movement speed modifiers are all multiplied, so for example on Grail Knight, it's 1.0 x 1.1 passive and x 1.05 for trinket adds up to 1.155, then you multiply that by any weapon movement tech, take mace and sword L1 to BC repeat which is around 10%> and now it's 1.27-1.28 ish. Handmaiden with Spear and Shield with a speed pot and doing Heavy 1 to Light 1 (fastest movement tech weapon) at +50% speed)can reach nearly 200% speed for the duration. Anyway Movement speed on Trinket is only really relevent in something like Fortunes of War, maybe some weaves for that little help with kiting around the map or going for timed based challenges
@@ThePartyKnife I'd been using Pwr vs Chaos & Monsters on my Javelin for SotT lol Btw could you recommend a decent damage build for SotT, please (Legend mostly)? I use Glaive, S&D, Spear + Javelin. Thank you.
Revive speed is fantastic on Handmaiden on very high difficulties as you don't really need Stamina recovery so take Crit Chance and Revive Speed for literally instant revives, it's so funny how fast it it
This makes me think about what properties would look like for the baddies in vs mode, like "Power vs. Condescending waifs who won't shut up about how superior they are" or "Dmg reduction vs. Facial Hairs"
Great vid. My setup for waystalker’s longbow on PlayStation (Legend difficulty) is skaven and monsters on the bow and chaos and skaven on the charm. Not sure if it’s the same on pc but that consistently one-shot body-shots stranglers and gunners and two-shot body-shots everything else (except chaos warriors and them banner twats). So with blood shot activated, you can take out any special with one shot no matter where you hit it. I also put movement speed instead of crit chance on the charm for added manoeuvrability and to stack with fervent huntress. Edit - also needs enhanced power talent to make the breakpoints.
Yeah, I wonder too if the break points are the same on pc and on console. I couldn't find any reliable source about it and without mods, testing is a crazy amount of work
@@CraigBozUK Maybe if... let's say, a handsome Vermintide CZcamsr could make a video about differences pc vs console... Nah, just kidding, I think there is way too few people interested and the information is not transparent enough
The special and elite breakpoints are the same on console, but basic horde unites have more health than they do on pc, and hordes in general are slightly smaller to compensate for the fact that consoles can’t handle as many enemies on screen at once.
All enemies have ~10-11% more HP on console consistently from my own testing. Melee weapons also almost universally deal less infantry damage but equal armor damage to PC. Breakpoints for many weapons can be a little different, most annoyingly for grail knight on Legend as he can’t one shot chaos warriors without crits like he can on PC. interestingly enough on console ranged weapons actually deal more armor damage than PC and equal infantry damage but with the increased enemy health they mostly break even with PC.
I love how you make an case for taking stamina instead of block cost reduction (since it equals more push block attacks) in most of your videos and then rate them the other way round. :) But it is very hard to rate some of these properties tbh... Box the way, I see your rating as in "for cataclysm) because I think for champ and legend the ratings would be different. Keep up the good work though!
60% Block Cost becomes a lot more important the higher the difficulty, there are though certain weapons that you should take Block Cost AND Stamina like Cog Hammer, Billhook, maybe the Flails and a few others, again it depends on the weapon, and character
I almost spit my water out laughing about natural bond. I literally started running it on handmaiden for legend book runs just a few days ago and love it. I get to mostly ignore healing items now aside from tagging it for others. Just grab a tome and keep moving. If i get hit, I can gen THP off a horde and let the green bar grow. The biggest downside is if I'm in a tight spot and can't get out of a gas hit quickly.
Cooldown Reduction (along with Movement speed) is good for doing timed based challenges with Handmaiden with a Decanter Concentration Pot. Cooldown Reduction is also good on Hagbane/Longbow Waystalker along with the 20% Talent as more ults equals more ammo sustain. Also has value on Mercenary if you use the 20% Ult cooldown talent for more THP generation for party, but it's rare as mostly 25% date reduction talent is picked
I think with Curse Resistance, you should've placed it with the assumption that you're grabbing books, placing it accordingly (which would probably end up B, A or possibly S, a bit depending on the map), as it's clearly useless if no books are picked up. It is a hard one to place though, as whilst it's very valueable if doing two grims, if you're only grabbing one, other things might be more valuable.
Curse resist should never be used even in a full book run. It makes you play a much tighter game. Whenever a cata game is full and I play legend I never switch curse on.

I'd love to see a more in depth video looking at Crit Power as related to various weapons, where it can actually be good and where it is useless or even detrimental. I have heard that in some few cases crit power can actually due to janky ass calculations decrease damage on crits. It is one of the most enigmatic subjects even among fellow legend and cata players, and that includes myself. It's really really hard to tell when it could actually be worthwhile or even quite good to take, what few times that could happen. Like, how much for example does it increase the health window at which you insta kill enemies with Grail Knights talent that let's him insta kill enemies when their remaining health is 4 times greater or less than the crit damage done, or whatever. How much would Crit power benefit a build with that talent and with what weapons of his, for example? If there was a single video you don't have out that would be my one time life's request of you it would be that. Cheers from Canada mate 🇨🇦 🍻
Crit Power is one of the worst properties, there is a max bonus system to damage and with a headshot, the amount of bonus crit power gives is less, also it's not really 20%, if crit damage bonus is 50%, with 20% crit power it's now 60% not 70%
Though I enjoyed this video, I'd like to offer a critique. There are different properties for different items. Because of this, you should have done 3 sections on this video where you go over the item properties for melee weapons, ranged weapons and the necklace/trinket/charms. This way it kind of seems all over the place. Just my two cents. :)
I totally get that and I even asked that question myself in the comment thread. And whilst I do agree from a logical standpoint the problem is that you simply wouldn't have anything left to really make a tier list with in the first place at that point! :P
Can someone explain why power vs infantry is important? I know most enemies are infantry, but I never feel like I lack damage to deal with these enemies. On legend mind.
Infantry is great because it takes care of just about everything that hits you in a horde. Skaven slaves. Chaos men and the bulimic chaos men. Much better than skaven or chaos imo.
I've got a question that I can't seem to find an answer for, so I guess... here's as good a place as any to ask: what are the advantages of using the Hagbane shortbow? Because it seems to me that the new Moonfire bow does everything that the Hagbane does... but better...
It pretty much does yeah :D The only context in which the hagbane is better comes down to it's ability to spam way more shots in a smaller window of time as well as benefitting heavily from ammo boxes! But overall the moonfire bow is the better choice most of the time! :)
Ok someone confirm for me can you roll Power vs Skaven and Power vs Chaos on a ranged item? I lost so much dust and feel like I’m going crazy trying to get it.
How much does crit power affect crit damage? Seems like on crit focused builds, increasing the crit damage multiplier to go with higher crit chance would be a given.
As a general best practices i agree with your list. At first I was thinking, hey i use some of those E and F tier traits and do fine on cata, but then i had to concede that those are meme builds that just work because i super specialized.
Because without it on lets say legend difficulty for example, you die to a single Stormvermin overhead with only 100 health. It also increases the value of things like damage reduction which you have from things like barksin that otherwise would be negligable because your pool of health would simply be too small for it to ever have any real impact. :)
