I think it's something that Jpeg would rap, not Ride. And although that Greed Day song sounds terrible, I like the pdf files line. Yes it's edgy for the sake of being edgy, but in my opinion it's not a bad thing. Not every lyric should be "tasteful" or "meaningful".

I dunno. After listening to Father of all a bunch theres a lot of solid tracks on there. But its all couched heavily in that Green Day manner of rewriting old songs into modern conventions. Which BJA is super into, constantly pulling riffs from the 60s and 70s into songs.
To me if youre into that sort of vibe, about 60% of that album is great. The other 40% is undercooked as is standard fare for a GD album.
My only complain about the newest songs is that they're just *fine*. They bop, theyre fun to drive to. But ultimately ill forget about them.
Sometimes don't get the melon. He can really dive deep and criticize lyrics of certain artists but then praises the likes of Beyonce and Cardi B without even mentioning the horrible lyrics of 80% of their music.
