The Packers actually have adapted maybe better than anyone in the league by not tackling anyone at all. Kudos to them for putting player safety at the forefront....

The nfl doesnt let you play defense. In 2010 kareem would be playing himself into a new contract. Now the nfl is acting like he brought a gun out there and sheep fans eating it up
I don't understand why people act like football shouldn't involve violence, it's football and the game is violent, don't make it not violent because then your just making the game different all together. People enjoy watching violence, not being directly involved with it, football fans will just watch less regulated leagues or wherever the big hits are.
Roger Goodell / Little Caesars / Draft King fans out numbered any single NFL fanbase a decade ago. I could tell as soon as you heard people cheering on the bounty gate or james Harrison suspensions
Chris Harris Jr said in response to the suspension “That was a standard hit that Tj Ward and Darian Stewart would make back in Denver all the time” NFL has good motives, but unfortunately it’s near impossible to play defense nowadays
TJ Ward a dirty as player. Eff that dude.
They don’t have good motives they DONT CARE about player safety, they just want offenses to succeed, adding more penalties keeps offenses on the field longer generating more points which creates more superstars the league can market and make money off of in terms of revenue

I hate that an offensive player can duck his head at the last second and cause a defensive penalty
It’s pretty insane! as well as 60% of the people commenting failing to see exactly that as they replay it 100 times and then call him a dirty player lol
Yeah, it makes me hate the defenseless receiver penalty as a whole. We’ll see guys going for the catch get smoked in the back with no call, then guys who will be looking directly at the safety and preparing for the hit get the call. It’s just a ticky tack rule they’ll only use to determine outcomes of games, like PI. Either enforce it every time or don’t enforce it
Yeah if he wants some brain damage for 15 yards let him lol
@@codylyons9729well agreed but did you see the hit on Logan Thomas when they played against Washington. He launched from the ground upwards using the crown of his helmet to hit home in the head and knocked him out of the game.
@@ZachariahS92the guy isn’t lowering his head for contact he’s coming down with the ball. The guy was head hunting for sure.
There’s an unspoken rule against hits that look violent, even if they check all the proper tackling boxes. If it’s a big hit that looks violent, it will likely be called.
Since when? 😂 never heard of this "unspoken rule" 10 years ago
Yep...basically if the crowd goes "ooohhh" they're going to throw a flag.
Legendary safeties like Ronnie Lott and Rodney Harrison would be suspended every week if they played in today's NFL.
Guess what, they are not playing in today's game and the rules have changed. Is it really that hard to understand
@@AndrewH9999Better question, is the word "if" so hard for you to understand?
Coming from a guy named “666 reason to kill you” I’m gonna say your opinion on what’s too violent for football isn’t gonna be widely accepted….
If they are targeting the defenses like this they need to start throwing flags on the runners for initiating those hits by dropping low
NFL didn't even watch the replay. They're saying he could've stopped and not hit him also they still saying he hit him in the head/neck which it's clearly right in the top of his chest. Hopefully he wins the appeal because 4 game suspension is ridiculous.
Clean hit. And 4 games for that??? That is insane

Anyone that says Kareem is a dirty player needs to go watch Vontez Burfict. Him and that safety that played for the saints are the only players that were truly out there head hunting. I miss the bang bang plays just like the rest of yinz but I’m glad the players are safer

I only got into football becuase of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed highlights many moons ago. The game I loved is dying... The best part of Ray's hits, is typically the victim bounced right up. I think there is a way to hit hard and stay safe, it was the lowering of the helmet trend of the 2015-2020 era that ruined it.

Broncos fan here so maybe a bit biased. The hit was totally legal and was initially shoulder to chest and then helmets made contact after. The flag was for hitting a defenseless player and idk what he was supposed to do, let the TE get settled and then face the end zone before making a tackle???

Nfl will be flag football soon! It’s sad they expect defenders to just stop on a dime and avoid hitting a player. Like aj said a few years ago it would be on a highlight wheel. You go to sack a qb and your in the motion already and they throw it and it’s roughing the passer lol.
Hurts got a roughing the passer last night after being hit by a defender with two hands. Mind you that defender also let off a ton before contact.
The hit on Marvin Harrison Jr. In the Georgia game was much worse, and there was no penalty.
Definitely should have been a penalty on that MHJ hit. The ball hitting his hands first after he stepped out of bounds should have an illegal touching penalty.
So what is he supposed to do wait until he collects him self and then try to hit em?! And what about when you try to hit someone like Mike Evans and he Spins off the hit and runs for a Tuddy.....
I agree with the Commanders game hit. That should've been the ejection. The rest seem like a very bad series of coincidences where the offensive player ducks or gets lower at the worst moment. As a long-time Raven's fan, who also watched Sean Taylor, Troy Polomalu, Brian Dawkins, etc., I'm like damn Kareem playing in the wrong era. I get they are trying to protect players now but it seems far too often when someone has an "old school" play, everyone is immediately looking for a flag and calling the player dirty. I honestly don't think most of them are intentionally trying to launch at the head.
It's just yhe changing of thw guard. The name of the DB game now is pure "cover." Gone are the days of Dawkins "taking someone's soul" 😂.
He was ejected for the Commanders hit. Thomas was out 2 weeks with a concussion because of it. He should have been suspended then.
It seems like he does the same thing every time. Lowers his helmet and launches himself at the other player’s head. The helmet to helmet hits have been illegal for years but seems like that’s how he continues to hit.
@@danieljoyce7699it’s legal hit, he’s going first shoulder. Not head first.
They called “roughing the passer” on Donald for absolutely murking geno smith out on the field a few weeks ago.. me as a rams fan I was livid.. the Kareem Jackson suspensions are almost child level of stupid.. I get it we play in a different league but this league sucks compared to the nfl ten years ago..
D-But’s pants can never make such a ballsy appearance on this show again
I'm not surprised that he got ejected or suspended just because of his history this year. However, 4 games is at least 2 games too many and the biggest thing that bothers me is KJ getting labeled as a guy that takes cheap shots and saying he's trying to hurt somebody. He's been playing like that for 13 years. He's not going to adapt his play style and that hit would have been celebrated even just 5 years ago...
They said they didn’t eject him based on history so this was just clearly one of the dirtiest hits of the year!
@xAGiiL3UnTiTL3D yeah I don't believe it for a second that they didn't consider who the player was before they made the ejection lol
If a player is getting ejected for hits nowadays, that means I want him on my team ASAP.
@@ddman1354the nfl said differently but what do i know
@xAGiiL3UnTiTL3D The rules state that they can't eject based on previous events so they have to say that they didn't consider history. I don't believe that for a second. There's no way that that hit warranted an ejection without previous offenses being considered. It's alright though, they already reduced his suspension.
Kareem Jackson making Ronnie Lott proud.
The shoulder to the chest and lower back were my go to back in the day.
You could hear the ref on the live broadcast tell Jackson, "I told you before the game".
That's why defense is a non factor for the most part. These guys just dive at thighs or throw shoulders.
“Heeee’s goooooing down.He’s dead!!!”😂😂😂😂😂😂😢
4 game suspension for that hit is a clear signal that taking the game international and trying to appeal to teenage girls is going to make the game unrecognizable in the near future. There is a reason flag-football is being added to the Olympics
Flag football is so boring, if they keep getting soft, other football leagues will take off.
The suspension wasn’t for this single hit, but a history of hits similar to this one.
@@synzofwar515 Right but that type of hit triggered the ejection and suspension. Head to the side, shoulder to the receiver's chest. The NFL has suddenly gone from fines/penalties for forceful shots to the head to fines+penalties+ejections+suspensions for hits that just look too violent. That's still a clean play in college and they're the ones who started with the targeting penalty and ejecting players for hits years ago.
@@QuiteAMouthfull I will say, the hit wasn’t that bad. The receiver turned at the last second. I understand the penalty of hitting a defenseless receiver. Don’t think it warranted an ejection. I guess the argument for the suspension would be a pattern of hits like this.
and the NFL posted Witherspoon's hit on their IG when it was exactly the same...
I'm a bills fan from buffalo... And next is one thing that I really noticed about Von Miller... Obviously he's not a safety so the distances are closer... And maybe it was because his first game with us. Was against the rams, Is his old team, And he would just tell Stafford to go down before it got bad in that first game... But it really made me notice his style... He's really good at doing it in the zone and being almost diplomatic about it. . It's almost like he negotiates you to the ground, As opposed to say lawrence Taylor style... I'm not saying it's that easy for a safety on a receiver, But just The way the technique is adapted is very interesting and noticeable... I think what is Luritable for all positions is the way he never loses control of his body... He always has his own personal balance and that's really the difference Between what we're seeing with kareen jackson... He's just throwing himself like a Log at people... You really doesn't matter where you aim... It's like not.
What you're supposed to do anymore so yeah
Anybody else look at the list of “illegal hits” and watch em all like a highlight reel😂

Rashee rice did it in the chiefs game this week. He lowered the helmet fully and ran over a charger. I loved it but my immediate reaction was “that’s a flag” even though I knew we wouldn’t get flagged. I don’t want it to be a flag but I watched Kareem hunt do it his entire rookie year too and never saw it flagged once. They don’t give af about the defense😂
Offensive players have also been getting fined for lowering the helmet, just not flagged as far as I'm aware.
@@MMMHOTCHEEZE I think you’re right. I think Kareem got a few fines now that I remember
