If Michigan “cheated” it was all last season and none of it contributed to this season. I believed Michigan was only good because of sign stealing at first too until i saw what they did to the hardest part of their, or anyone else’s, season.
Yes, joke. Michigan was under the most watchful eye in CFB history and beat MSU, Penn St, Iowa, OSU, Bama, and Washington. There’s nothing you can say anymore. All of those team had their chance to attempt to prove any semblance of there being an advantage and they all got smacked. You can cry all you want - we all saw what happened.

Pat, thanks so much for the kind words in defense of the program. There are a lot of haters out there who think Michigan didn’t deserve to win, or it’ll get vacated or given an asterisk by the NCAA. Whatever happens, it’s good to know that the people who really understand, live and breathe college football know that Michigan WAS deserving, had the best team, and gave our University and alumni something to be proud of. No one can take that away.
Funny tho, that Pat picked against Michigan in every big game of the season. Including the B1G Championship against Iowa. I think that defense finally changed his mind.

I think they are the only championship defense to not allow more than 25 points to an opponent all season. And holding Washington to 13? Washington had 13 possessions...and could only get a touchdown and 2 field goals. Defense can still win championships!

The pure amount of pre-snap motion that Michigan pulls off was very, very impressive to watch.
The thing about Michigan’s defence is that they essentially played 3 lines at each level without sacrificing talent. So it’s not as if it was just 6-8 really good guys that will devastate the team when they leave.
Obviously, there’s the studs like Will Johnson, Mikey Sainristil but there are so many guys that are ready to step up! 🤙🤙 go blue!

Congrats to Michigan. That 1st quarter killed UW, but then they clamped down. Michigan's defense was just too good. I actually stood in awe after each Michigan score and just watched their fans go insane. Sadly, it was 70/30 Michigan and a lot of UW ticket holders sold theirs 😢

This team was always something special MICHIGAN was absolute savages this year they fought hard and earned every victory! I do however have a new found respect for Alabama! When their players came over to Michigan and congratulated them and told them to win this all you deserve it! That was absolute golden standard in good sportsmanship and the game against Alabama was more of a NATIONAL championship game then the one against Washington Rose bowl 🌹 for me was Michigan's national championship
I saw that too and it was pretty cool. I've always been a fan of Saban and thus liked Bama to a certain extent, but seeing the sportsmanship from them definitely adds to it.

Jim finally had a complete team made in his image. Hardly any 5-stars..but fiercely competitive. The trenches is where you build success. NFL-style defense. Portal has spread out the talent pool..so that's refreshing. We'll enjoy this immensely..cuz most likely Jim is going back to the NFL. He accomplished his goal here.

Michigan’s D just smashed you. They hit HARD.
Washington’s receivers heads were on a swivel even before they secured the ball worrying about the hit. Pennix’s ribs were obliterated. He had to get rid of the ball so quickly all the time else he got destroyed. Routes didn’t get time to develop. He rarely had time to throw the ball more than 10 yards. Due to getting hit or avoiding hits, he was kinda shot-putting the ball half the time … leading to soft pop-up throws. That dude could barely walk back to his locker after the game.
And on offense, they bullied Washington too. They just hit and hit … running the ball for more yards than Washington had TOTAL offensive yards.
Washington was just battered on both sides of the ball. Just outmatched physically.
Michigan lucky they didn’t play FSU, got an easy matchup vs Bama

I watched a lot of Michigan and the biggest thing I saw was the physicality of the defense and offensive line. They hit hard on tackles and would not be pushed around!

I am so happy, so happy this Big Ten Michigan team won, in effect also dropping a huge load of stool on ESPN and the NCAA and their arrogant and ignorant biases.
THIS would happen more (northern teams winning) and more if every major bowl was held in absolute NEUTRAL regions or zones. The Big Ten, and other northern states teams, would win more bowls if the NCAA weren't so 'traditional' (bias and arrogant) having southern teams nearly always playing in state or a neighboring state. It would likely take a couple of years to get use to the proper change, but win more bowls northern state teams would do. This is still college sports, and until the players leave college, they are students and need to be taught about Fairness, Justice and Equality: bowls NEED to be played in obviously Neutral grounds. Due to the NCAA's "tradition," we have mostly southern states winning the major bowls. Most people disagree, but their comments are typically brainless. Any of you who agree, YOU have the ability to Tweet, Facebook, Instagram, Etc., at the NCAA, and if you are college students you can access more to contact your school's dean, coach, and president and insist to of them to reach out to the NCAA and demand change for a better balance in the way bowls are held.

Watching UM Football since about 90- 91. I was 13. Alot of memories through the decades watching with family, friends. I can remember what I was doing where I was for alot of big games I saw or missed. Man. Feels like that great 97 team was a lifetime ago. This feels different. Alot more history of emotions leading up to this one. Down years. Upsets. Almosts. Maybe next years. For yearssss. I'm so goddamn proud of this team 144. Proud to be a fan. My team did it!! This all leads me back to childhood watching and rooting and hoping as I've grown into a near 50 yr old. Something in my heart and guts tell me this is one and done. I hope not. This game was a perfect example of why USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washinton are going to struggle in the Big 10. It's not about one game, it's about the course of the season. Penix took a beating like he never did in the PAC 12. He would not have survived a season playing Penn st, OSU, Michigan, Iowa etc.

To be fair, the rose bowl was in California and the championship was in Houston. Michigan did sorta get lucky with neutral fields.

They had a champs attitude and composure. Michigan has had many great teams, but i dont remember one like this= one that you never felt they were down and out. In the most difficult games they stepped up and did what they had to do to win.

What a season 😅 best Michigan team ever
Washington had 13 points on 13 drives. Michigan led at halftime in every game this season. Michigan is the first team since 1902 to hold 15 different teams to under 25 points. We outpaced every offense we played except Ohio State’s, and even then they only beat us out in yards on their final drive that ended in an INT. Go blue.
